I shop for fabrics occasionally at a local second hand store as I am pleased with the variety of garment fabrics that are not available at the local craft store and I like the idea of repurposing.
I shop online, sometimes in a Leonardo store, sometimes just in a store near my home
I only sew for dolls and shop for small print fabrics, tiny buttons and trims and notions at JoAnn and Hobby Lobby. I was pleased with how quickly these stores restocked after fabrics and elastic stock for mask-making was decimated this past Spring.
I shop for my supplies at Joann’s. I am pleased with their selection of fabric an most of the supplies I need.
I shop for fabric at Joanns
I shop for sewing notions and fabrics between JoAnn fabrics, Hobby Lobby, (as I use coupons) and also Amazon, as I am always looking for the best deal. I have found JoAnn’s and Hobby Lobby to be very helpful. I do use a lot of Pixie Faire Patterns, and when I can find free ones on line I will get those for the 18" and 14-15" dolls. Helps to reduce costs of my items that I sell on my Etsy shop – GammysCreationsShop
I shop for my sewing fabric on line: Frond, Blue Creek Fabric. I am most pleased with both of them because of quality and variety of fabric, quick delivery and daily or weekly sales!
I, like so many others shop right here at Pixiefaire.com. Absolutely LOVE their variety of AG doll clothes from the many talented designers as well as their shoes. Im just so anamored with how the little design details make the outfits look like the dolls just stepped on the red carpet or on Project Runway. My favorite shoe designer is Miche. Love her creativity & realisticness of the shoes.
I found this sight by accident about 5 years ago when I was looking for doll clothes patterns on-line. Their add popped up & thought I’d give it a shot. Fell in love with their designs, styles & uniqueness & have never looked back. Additionally, their customer service is absolutely 2ND TO NONE. Very prompt getting back to you, friendly & they are genuinely happy to help in any way they can. So, to sum it up, I’m extremely pleased to be a patron at Pixiefaire.com.
I also LOVE how Cinnamon reaches out through her “Build A Purse” charity & goes to Africa to help those interested in learning to sew so they can learn to sew & teach them through sewing how it can better their lives & help them to learn an exciting hobby & sew away some stress as 2020 has been a very trying time for everyone. Through sewing, it helps to relieve stress & then you have a beautiful project that you can say “I made that with my 2 hands & God’s help too.” Always give God credit for all things possible.
Thank you for allowing me to share my excitement & enthusiasm for shopping at Pixiefaire.com.
“I shop for fabric]at local thrift shops to upcycle.. I was pleased with shopping local for a charity.

I shop for sewing & doll supplies on eBay (great fabrics in small quantities, name-brand notions at bargain prices) and Amazon (great prices, fantastic assortment, fast shipping). I was pleased with the quality & shipping speed. I also feel like I am supporting small businesses via eBay sellers & Amazon Marketplace.
I shop at Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Field’s Fabrics. I try to just go in and “look” since I have many drawers full of material. But, something will always catch my eye and I think of what I can make of that material so there is more in my drawers.
I love the patterns and great ideas at Pixie Faire.
I have been staying home.and shopping my stash which has provided me with most that I need. I shopped my local quilt shop, Sewing Etc. in Yorkville, IL, for charity pillow case cotton. Wonderful shop! As well as, JoAnn’s for their sale on flannel for a rug I am currently weaving.
I shop for elastic on Amazon and am very pleased with quick delivery and easy return policy.

I shop for a lot of my fabric for dolls at the thrift stores. I also get “notions” from these finds. I do buy from various stores as well but not at one in particular. Wherever I get the best value that still has quality products is where I will shop My greats are still young so I am just now starting to sew clothes for the various dolls. I love your patterns and variety.

It’s good to see others suggestions for supplies, I buy my doll patterns and shoe supplies from Pixie. I tried shopping online with Joann’s for quilt fabric but it was too frustrating. Everything I wanted was out of stock. When in store at Joann’s became available I went back. The people are always friendly and helpful.
Most of my doll patterns come from Pixie Faire, but I also like the doll patterns offered by Lee & Pearl. I normally stick to local JoAnn and Hobby Lobby shops for fabric and notions. When ordering on line, I find that sometimes the shipping charges are more than the item I’m ordering.
I shop for embroidery threads and stabilizers at Red Rock Threads. I was pleased with the prices on thread sets and the fast shipping.
I shop for unusual fabric online on Etsy. I am pleased with all of the selection and quality of good quilter’s cotton.

I shop for doll trims and notions at Home Sew and I am always pleased with their service. I especially appreciate extras included with a big order. However this year through this blog and the 12 days, I have found many additional resources for fabrics and other goodies. Thanks Pixie Faire! Love u
I shop for my sewing supplies online as Canada does not have a wide variety of doll supplies
I shop for zippers, buttons and velcro at zipperthatdoll.com. I was pleased with the selection and service!
I shop for patterns at Pixie Fairie. I shop for fabric at Jo Anne’s and Hobby Lobby. I get notions at both places but for the hard to find ones like 3-5 in zippers, specialty elastic, small buttons and lace, I go to Etsy and use one of the companies they work with. I am pleased with customer service at both Jo Anne’s and Hobby Lobby as with the Etsy places. The only issue with some of the Easy places is I have to buy more than I need.
I have cancer and receiving treatments and can’t shop stores so on line here I come. It has certainly been a challenge for me. I love to feel the material and that is not an option. Better days are coming.
I buy embbroidery thread at allstitch.com because of the price. I also like pixiefaire.com (of course) because of the number of different styles (sorry if this is a repeat, I wasn’t sure if the first one went through).
I shop often at Joann because it is the only choice in my small town. I sometimes go to local Walmart for ordinary things. I will look online for things not available locally. for patterns no better place than Pixie.
I shop for fabric at Joann’s, mostly. The employees at my local store are always friendly and helpful, and enjoy chatting about projects.
I shop for fabric mainly at Walmart or Joann’s online. Other supplies, like buttons, zippers and ribbon are usually from Home Sew or Amazon. I am pleased with the quality, but not always the prompt shipping.
I shop for doll zippers at Zipper That Doll. She gives fast, reliable service.
Since we live an hour and a half from any fabric shop, I buy any fabrics or notions I need online. White batiste by the bolt and gingham yardage from fabricc.com. Silk organza from Lee&Pearl on Etsy. New patterns from pixiefaire and Ebay. Beads from firemountain. Snaps, buttons and some other notions from Homesew. Still have lots of fabric and thread from my quilting and making clothes for family sewing days. Have also bought clothes at thrift places to cut up for doll clothes.
I shop for patterns and shoe supplies at Pixie Faire, fabrics at Wal-Mart & local fabric store and notions either at Wal-Mart or online. I have been pleased with the quality and customer service at all of them, if something needs shipping it usually arrives quite quickly.
I shop for patterns at Pixie Faire and I am very pleased with the selection and clear patterns.
I shop for sewing machine supplys at Sew and Vac, and Fabric, thread, at Hobby Lobby, Joanns, and on line.
I shop for cottons at Among Friends, a local quilt shop. They have a huge selection. I also get some from Hobby Lobby. I have a hard time finding choices in fabrics for fancier clothing. I see some beautiful fabrics used in the Pixie Faire patterns and wonder where it was purchased from.
I shop for embroidery thread at allstitch.com because of the price. The customer service is good too. I like pixiefaire.com (of course) for the number of great designs.
I am always on the hunt for doll supplies for sewing or to make jewelry for fashion dolls.. JoAnn’s Thrift shops or online are great source for my design that I am working on. Selling on eBay these finished as OOAK items.
Since I have a huge fabric stash, I don’t buy as much fabric as I used to. However, I shop for patterns on Pixie Faire, Etsy, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn’s, and sometimes I can find a good pattern book on Amazon. I occasionally look for vintage patterns on Ebay.
“I shop for fabric in my stash, and if I can’t find anything I love hunting for “new” fabric at the local thrift store. I was pleased with all the suggestions of places to search for. I really appreciate the comradery of this group to help me with my new venture, being able to sew beautiful doll clothes. First I have to find a doll for myself, getting some good ideas. Thank you Pixie Faire.
During this pandemic, my shopping has been online. Admittedly however, I have not bought much fabric for two reasons. One the obvious being the pandemic and the other being I packed up all my fabric to redo my sewing/craft room in late March! That is still on hold!! However I did manage to shop online buying a few yards of solid fabric and notions!!!! My supplies of notions have been expanded and filled in significantly shopping online with vendors thru Etsy, Joann’s, and tools such as scissors, exacting blades, knitting needles, etc. once my room is put back together, I look forward to using my own craft/fabric store I have created in my own home!!!
I shop for reproduction fabric at Burnley Trowbridge (Williamsburg). I was pleased with the authentic quality, customer service, or quick shipment. Plus, I really appreciate purchasing from a small business and a historical one of that to help their staff.
I shop for most of my fabric at my local quilt stores. I was pleased with the selection and quality of the fabric and the customer service is great. I am a quilter so I use my left over stash for making doll clothes. I also buy fabric at yard sales and upcycle it.
“I shop for all my sewing, serger, & embroidery machines (and thread, needles, scissors etc) at the Vacuum Center & Sewing Room in St. Cloud MN. I was pleased with EVERYTHING – prices, quality (Baby Lock) and service which is beyond compare. I only wish they carried fabric. I would be in 7th heaven then. Thank you!
I shop for small scale and vintage fabrics, buttons, and trims at farmhousefabrics.com, usually in the Dolls Closet under their Inspiration Station. I have been pleased with the assortment, plus they will coordinate threads, ribbons, etc. for you if you ask.
I live in a small town so I shop for fabric at my local quilt stores. I am always pleased with customer service at the small locally owned stores. Unfortunately, notions (buttons, zippers) are hard to find.
Hobby Lobby is my favorite place to shop in person but I also find lots of items on ebay!
I shop for Patterns at Pixie Faire for patterns and shoe supplies.. I am pleased with their customer service and the quality and variety of their patterns. I also shop at Amazon for patterns and at McKay’s Book Store in Knoxville, TN. For fabrics, I mostly look in my own stash, as I have way too much.
I shop for sewing supplies all over. Usually I find what I need at Hobby Lobby or Joannes but occasionally I have to go to an online store. I have found that etsy has a wonderful assortment and the prices are reasonable.
I used to shop for all my crafting supplies mainly at Joann Fabrics, but after moving, my new local Joann is miniature, and not the miniature we’re looking for 😂 So now the only other craft store near me is Hobby Lobby, which I have no complaints about because the staff at my location is very friendly and I I feel like most of the fabric is better quality than what I was getting before. Special notions are hard to find locally, but after hearing about Home Sew from you guys, I may have to try there in the future!
I shop for fabric at several stores. I keep my eyes open for future projects because in my area, if you don’t buy it when you see it, the fabric will be gone when you go back. Then I go to the internet shops. My favorite store for small buttons and lace is Hobby Lobby with friendly store employees. JoAnne’s has raised their prices and lowered the fabric quality, and my local JoAnne’s has skeleton crews, long lines, and not so friendly workers. I shop at 2 local quilt shops that are amazing, Decorative Stitch and the Little Quilt Shop. Great for 100% cotton fabric. Tiny buttons, zippers and small width lace are the notions hard to find.
I’ve been shopping this year in my craft room. My stash has been sitting there waiting for ‘someday’. Someday has come and I’m finally putting it to use.
“I shop for Fabric and notions at Fabricville.ca. I was pleased with the speed of delivery to my small town, in northern Alberta Canada.
I shop for fabric at local shops. I was pleased with a recent sale where fat quarters were on sale for $1.00 each.
I shop for patterns at JoAnn’s. I am pleased with their sales and only buy when I can get them under $2 each.
I shop at Joann’s and occasionally Walmart for sewing needs. I also have purchased fabric at various shops online or Etsy or Ebay when searching for a name brand fabric. The stores above recommended by many sound like a shoppers paradise. I do wish doll pattern makers would make preprinted patterns available as printing a pattern with 27 pages or more is difficult and expensive.
I have shopped for years at JoAnn’s and Hancock Fabrics, sometimes at Hobby Lobby. I’ve recently expanded to on line shopping. I was pleased with fabric.com and several things from Amazon. I love Pixie Faire doll patterns and shoes soles. I still struggle with finding tiny zippers and buttons. Most places have been very helpful.
I shop for velcro & zippers at Zipper that Doll. Their 2-sided velcro is so easy to use.
“I shop for most embellishments or notions on etsy and use a lifetime accumulation of fabric I have on hand for doll clothes. I am in love with the patterns at Pixie Faire. The quality and detail inspired me to start sewing actually fashionable doll clothes again even though my granddaughter is grown. I do them for my own pleasure.
I usually purchase my fabric art JoAnn’s. Occasionally at Wal-Mart. Accessories are getting very hard to come by.so many of the online places, or catalog places are no longer inn business. I have been using Target or Wal-Mart’s 18" doll accessories because of the cost difference between them and AG.
I like to shop for patterns at pixie faire, notions from home sew and fabric at local shops.

The quality and detail inspired me to start sewing actually fashionable doll clothes again even though my granddaughter is grown. I do them for my own pleasure.
I mainly shop Joann’s and Hobby Lobby for supplies. The McKinney Joann’s has great customer service, many of the employee’s know me by name. I shop my 2 local quilt shops for fabric and sewing machine supplies
I shop for sewing stuff at a few different online stores, depending what I need. I also order from Amazon as some of the same stores sell there as well.
I love checking out the remnants bin at my local Fabricville and browsing at my local thrift shops for interesting fabrics or clothes with nice patterns to transform into doll clothes.
I shop on Amazon for a lot of my supplies but I usually go to Joanns or Hobby Lobby for the fabric. I’ve also had good luck with fabricwholesaledirect.com when buying my knits.
I shop online for everything during this covid mess. I shop at Joann’s for fabric and notions. Sewingpartsonline.com has tiny buttons, sewing machine supplies etc., Singer.com, Etsy for custom fabric and patterns, PixieFaire for patterns and hard to find items, Amazon, Home Sew.
A good source for doll clothes patterns on youtube is happy bankky crafty mom.
I also have many items from my mom who passed away, including her sewing machine and an excellent pair or scissors.
I shop in person at Fabricland and online from Funky Monkey and Etsy. Pixie Faire and Made for Mermaids is my go to for doll clothes patterns.
I shop the remnants at JoAnn’s, and look for bargains at Hobby Lobby or fabric.com. Unfortunately, it is hard to get great fabrics anymore.
I shop the remnants at JoAnn’s, and look for bargains at Hobby Lobby or fabric.com. Unfortunately, it is hard to get great fabrics anymore.
I shop at fabric.com. their website is so easy to use, they have great selection, good prices and free shipping if you buy a certain amount which isnt hard to do!
I shop mostly at our local Humane society thrift store. Since covid I have cut into my stash a bit
more.
I shop my patterns from Pixie Faire & JoAnn when patterns are 99c. Notions from JoAnn If I see a friend with a cute top or dress/skirt I remind them not to throw away if it gets a stain on it They all know I will up cycle, in return I always make their daughter something out of it. Fun. Fun. I read some of the comments and want to thank those that gave other options to shop..
I shop for fabric at Joann or Hobby Lobby . I was pleased with the variety and selection they offer.
I mainly shop at Joann’s and Hobby Lobby for supplies. The staff there kniws me since I’m a regular in the local stores. I alao love my local quilt shops!
I shop my stash but if I need something I check Amazon.
I shop for sewing supplies at Joann’s. We are fortunate to have three large stores within ten miles of our home, the closest being less than a mile away.
I like to shop for fabric at Farmhouse Fabrics. They have a “doll closet” with fabric, trims, buttons, etc. suitable in scale for dolls. Their customer service is great and they always have a Bible verse in their email header.
I shop at Walmart and local fabric store as that is all we have in town. I do shop at Hobby Lobby when we go to a larger city. Walmart most of the time doesn’t have a person to help you in the fabrics dept. but I like their selection of cotton/blend fabric. The fabric store does have a nice selection of garment fabrics but I have to shop out of town for specialty fabrics. I don’t do much on line because I need to feel the fabric to see if it’s a good weight for doll clothes. I also thrift shop for fabric.
I shop for 18" doll shoes at Hobby Lobby. I was pleased with their selection AND their 40% off coupon.
I shop for fabric at JoAnn Fabrics, but if I can’t find something there, I go to fabric.com. I like to get accessories that are hard to find on Etsy. I like to look at fabric in person, but I have done a lot more online, as it has been harder to get out to the stores these days. And I do like the convenience of having things delivered to my door. It give me more time to sew!!
I shop mainly for doll supplies at Joanns. I’m mostly pleased that prices are amazing when I find great items in the remnants bin!
I shop for material and doll supplies at all different places. I purchase from local stores to online depending on what I am currently looking for and where the availability is. Most of my material I get from JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby, however, I do purchase from online stores as well. I have purchased from Pixie Faire, Fabric.com, Keepsakes Quilting, Madam Sew, Etsy, and Amazon. With all the different places I have shopped at I was always pleased with the quality of their product and their customer service.
I shop for all kinds of sewing supplies (some I didn’t even know I would want when they came as a bundle) at estate sales (and when I run out, I go to our little Joann’s). I was pleased with my finds (until I needed more and found they were so much more expensive, but at least Joann’s sends me coupons).

I shopped for 1/4 elastic on Etsy earlier this year when I couldn’t find it anywhere else. It was actually a little under 1/4 inch, but it worked for me. The price was reasonable and shipping was fast.
