My biggest sewing challenge is knowing when to stop :)
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is adjusting and caring for my machine in sewing, which limits the materials I use to ones which are similar so I don’t have to adjust. Even the most minute change in settings seems to throw them off. These are older, mechanical machines, so it’s not as easy as having a computer recognize what I want to do, but I love these machines. I don’t learn well from manuals; I need someone pointing everything out. In crochet, since I’m very much a beginner, it’s getting the gauge correct. I use the yarn and hook specified but it doesn’t always come out the right size. Sometimes drastically not. Practice, practice, practice! And I don’t knit at all. Yet.
My biggest challenge is that my kids ask me to sew ANYTHING they can and view it as simple to do. By the same token, many people, knowing I can sew, but NOT knowing how long it takes ask me to "just sew this for me. It shouldn’t take long!
My greatest sewing challenge is picking the fabric to use. I really struggle to pick a fabric and stick with it which causes delays in the process of further progress and many projects don’t even get started because of my indecisiveness in choosing fabric. It can be quite overwhelming.
I love to sew, and I can crochet but am not an expert. When it comes to knitting, however, I would love to be able to do so (more than knit and pearl stitches!); however, I am completely lost when it comes to undoing a mistake. Therefore, I always need the support of someone who is an experienced knitter to take on even a beginning project. Wish I could figure out undoing mistakes when one knits!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is fitting garments for my own body. Thanks for the giveaway.
My biggest sewing, knitting and crocheting challenge is finding the time to work on the many projects I would like to complete.
I have more patterns and ideas than I have time to realize. Beyond that, my biggest challenge in crocheting doll clothes is to establish the correct gauge.
My current sewing challenge is not having organized space for material. We recently moved & I need shelving installed in the sewing room so, I don’t have to go on a scavenger hunt each time I start a new project. LOL!
My biggest challenge is cramping hands. I think it has something to do with the death-grip I have on the crochet hook LOL
My biggest sewing challenge is zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to actually finish a project. It’s always fun to start something new, but I need to finish some of these projects before starting another one.
My biggest challenge is finding time.
My biggest challenge is time.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing projects! I have so many, especially class projects.
My sewing challenge is finding time to sew. I seem to have plenty of time for other hobbies like collecting fabric and yarn!
My biggest knitting challenge is: I apparently have two left thumbs. I can knit, but am so slow at it, it isn’t worth my while. Same with trying to eat with chop sticks. I’d starve to death. However, I am thankful I can sew and crochet with great joy. I suppose two out of three isn’t bad.
My biggest challenge is storing all the various sewing supplies & fabrics— keep running out of space for it all!
My biggest challenge is sewing during the school year. Making doll clothes is my passion and my full time job gets in the way. The Mister recently installed great lighting in my sewing room, which allows me to sew in the evenings so it is better, but now he misses me because I don’t come downstairs!
My biggest sewing challenge is putting in a zipper and making it match the other side …
My biggest sewing challenge is starting a project. I started designing a traditional Asian dress back in November, got a little stuck in my pattern making (realized it was looking more like a Star Trek uniform) and haven’t been back to it yet. Once I put it on the fabric and start cutting, I’ll be at it until it’s finished. But starting that first cut, not knowing if it will turn out, that is usually my biggest challenge.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is lack of time.i have a 5 month old baby who demands most of it.
My biggest knitting challenge is knitting sweater sleeves with double pointed needles for my 18 inch doll.
My biggest sewing challenge is what doll outfit I want to make
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is myself. Getting started and finishing is a real struggle for me.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing and keeping a straight line since I am still new to sewing.
My biggest sewing challenge is picking what I will work on next. I have so many ideas, patterns, and a large stash of fabrics, it’s hard to decide what will get my attention first. I guess that’s why I am usually working on multiple projects at the same time!
Finding time!
My biggest challenge is finding time to sew all the projects I’d like to make..
My biggest sewing and knitting challenge is procrastination! I collect the wonderful Pixie Faire patterns and tips, buy fabric and follow Pinterest for additional ideas, but I have a hard time actually getting around to sewing. When I do sew, I really enjoy it.
My biggest knitting challenge is closing a seam neatly.
Sewing – starting small seams because they get sucked in to my machine!
My biggest challenges are cutting out the patterns neatly and finding time to sew!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do all the projects I dream up (I dream a lot).
My Challenge is finding the time to do it all. Love all your designs.
Time time time!!!
My biggest challenge is making a new outfit for Fashion Friday at my exercising club that all the member look forward to.
My biggest challenge is working with knits. But I’m determined to practice and get good at it this year (I got a new serger for Christmas, so no excuses).
.. sewing with knit fabrics!
My biggest sewing challenge is adjusting patterns to fit my dolls properly!
Confidence is my biggest challenge. I’m just getting back into sewing after a fifty plus year hiatus.
My biggest sewing challenge when it comes to doll clothes is starting seams since the seam allowance is so small. The fabric tends to get sucked into the machine.
My biggest challenge? Skinny hems!
My biggest challenge is coming up with ethnic patterns for the dolls. Takes so much time….
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing and keeping a straight line since I am still new to sewing.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is… finding the time to work on all the projects I want to do.
My biggest sewing challenge is button holes.
My biggest sewing challenge is I tend to get bored with projects, especially ones I get from customers and I don’t like the fabric.
My biggest challenge is chiffon. I love the look of chiffon, but find it difficult to get it to behave to get the desired result, gathers.
My greatest challenge is turning small parts and making them fit into the project properly!
My challenge when crocheting is sewing in the yarn ends! I avoid multicolor projects because I don’t want to sew in all those ends.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sticking with the project until the end. I love to start, but dislike the finishing aspect (blocking my knits, etc.).
My biggest challenge is finding the time to sew.
My biggest challenge to getting needlework projects done is the same as so many of your readers – TIME!! – just plain old uninterrupted time!
My biggest challenge is working through my hands aching as I age. It limits my sewing sessions (probably a good thing) when I would rather keep going.
My biggest knitting or crochet challenges are so great I just don’t knit or crochet.:) As for sewing, I am always up for a challenge and eventually figure things out.
Making a reversible coat and dress took them apart at least 8 or more times
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding which project to do first.
My biggest challenge is finishing one thing before starting the next project
Time…..retirement can’t come soon enough…..lol
My biggest challenge is being a dyslexic left hander! This is especially a problem when using charts, knitting and crocheting!
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing seams so that the doll clothes look professional. I don’t have a serger so I have to spend extra time with a special presser foot doing satin stitch along edges with material that’s fraying. I usually do 6-10 doll outfits at Christmastime so it’s a lot of time to spend on the seams when I have so much work to do I try to do rolled hems whenever possible, but that’s a challenge too with doll clothes – trying to roll just a 1/4 inch on some fabrics, especially on a neck line – is a nightmare!
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing up the last little details like sewing on snaps or velcro. Once the item “looks” finished, I want to move on to something else instead of doing the tedious (to me) last part to actually complete it.
My biggest challenge is sewing anything for dolls in general as the other person here finds my hobby distasteful.
My biggest challenge in sewing, knitting and crocheting is UFOs (unfinished objects). I have started so many projects, then find something else even more exciting, and begin something new. I now put UFOs in sweater boxes with everything needed to finish the project. My New Year’s resolution – try to finish ONE UFO each month. (At this rate it will take at least five years to finish everything.) The sweater I began 34 years ago to fit my baby will now fit a great grandchild! Does anyone else have this Problem?
My biggest sewing challenge is organization. You would think a tornado went through here after each project! My biggest knitting challenge is learning! My biggest crochet challenge is finding time to complete everything that I have stashed.. LOL
My biggest challenge is my granddaughter has more ideas and requests than I can keep up with. But it is so much fun!
My biggest challenge is finding the pattern for something that I made a long time ago when my cousin not wants the exact stocking for her husband to match her Christmas stocking.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing/inserting tiny doll sleeves and finishing the inside of the sleeves for a professional finish.
My biggest challenge is being a dyslexic left hander! This is especially a problem when using charts, knitting and crocheting!
My biggest sewing challenge is cutting out the patterns it’s not the fun part of sewing for me. Also I sometimes find it difficult to figure out what side of the fabric is what after it’s cut off the bolt.
My biggest sewing challenge, as far as the doll clothes are concerned, is being intimidated by their size. I must have made sixty thread crochet Barbie dresses for my own three daughters, but now that I promised my three granddaughters that I would sew them clothing for their American Girls and Wellie Wishers, I find I am fearful that I will do an inferior job.
My biggest challenge is finding doll sized buttons.
My biggest challenge is finding the right trims.
My biggest challenge is not planning a 4 hour project in a 2 hour slot.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to make all the projects I assign myself to do. Its a wonderful challenge.
My biggest challenge is finding doll sized zippers.
My biggest challenge is getting the patterns to fit the dolls that I make which are fabric art dolls. The patterns often are made for smaller necked dolls then the dolls that I make so I need to modify the pattern in some way to fit.
My biggest challenge is selecting my project stopping. I always want to add more to a project; trim , a hat, or a necklace, etc. Because there are options everywhere.
My biggest sewing challenge is making sharp corners without pulling out the edges that I have clipped. Also, I am the biggest critic of my work, so when my topstitching is crooked, or seams on heavy jean-like material are very thick and don’t match up well, I get discouraged.
My biggest sewing project is to replace a heavy duty zipper into a winter coat.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is keeping sewing room organized and finding time to work on all the ideas I have for new outfits.
My biggest challenge is finding the time and energy to work on my project.s
My greatest challenge is modifying patterns or crochet instructions for dolls that don’t quite match the model! The same problem most women have with their own clothing purchases and creations!!! We definitely don’t match the model!
I have several sewing challenges. First is finding the right size buttons, fasteners, and in a complimentary color. And the second is being interrupted on days when everything is going fantastically and I’m definitely on a roll.
My biggest challenge is what to make next. I love all the crafts!
My biggest sewing challenge is to keep my sewing space clean and ordered so I feel like doing a project!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is matching colors and patterned materials. I’m so insecure that my sewing is usually limited to a patterned print with one solid color to compliment.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding space to store completed projects and left overs that I may use in the future.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time to do it.
My biggest knitting challenge is finding time.
My challenge in sewing, knitting, and crocheting is finding time.
My biggest sewing challenge would be actually sewing the patterns. I like to look at what everyone else is sewing when I should be making them myself.
My biggest challenge is finding the time to sew and it just got harder because we got a new puppy for Christmas
My biggest challenge in knitting and crocheting is switching the instructions for left handed work. Cables and slants don’t work the same when you craft left handed if you follow the directions exactly. Wish there was a chart somewhere to show which stitch to substitute in patterns
My biggest challenge is putting in zippers in doll clothes so they look professional!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do it!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is allocating time to sew.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is getting started and sticking with it until it is finished.

My biggest challenge is storage.
