“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is having to make multiple doll outfits so that all my nieces can receive outfits at the same time and no one feels left out. So, when I find a pattern that I can’t wait to make and/or knit, I know I have to make it at least four times before moving on to the next project."
My biggest challenge in sewing is getting started! It’s hard to allocate “ME” time when there are many housework chores to be done.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge right now is dealing with bilateral carpal tunnel issues. My normal biggest challenge is fitting in crafting around my normal job as a bridal seamstress.
My biggest challenge is like many others….making the time. But also deciding which project to do next is a close second!
My biggest challenge is finding the time to do all I want to do and deciding which project I want to do next.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding fabrics that I want and the time to make my projects.
My biggest sewing challenge is motivation! Getting started is always the most difficult part. If I wait til I feel inspired, I will only sew once a month. So I often force myself to get started. Once I do, I have a great time!
My biggest challenge is deciding which fabric looks best with which pattern before I actually make it. I have done pretty well but wish my eyes saw the finished product in a certain fabric before starting to actually sew it!!
My biggest challenge with sewing, knitting, and crocheting is organizing all my material, yarn, etc. so I can find everything at a glance.
My biggest challenge is making sure the fabric I choose is historically accurate (colors and patterns used for the time period) and small enough in scale for dolls.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding storage space for the yarn and the fabric.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is the finishing… love the projects, but the finishing (tying in ends, weaving, blocking, pressing, hemming, etc) are always tedious!
jMy biggest sewing challenge is what should I make and I also have a problem deciding how to embellish the garments.
My biggest sewing challenge is threading small needles.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time to start….and then finding the time to finish!
My biggest knitting challenge is being interrupted, putting it away for a while, not knowing where I left off, ripping out and starting again! waaa, waaaa
My biggest sewing challange is finding the space and time to sew.
I’ve tried to knit & crochet but my have arthritis, I find sewing easier. But my biggest challenge is getting in to small spaces for a straight seam, I only have a regular sewing machine.
My biggest sewing challenge is that that eventually I have to shut off the machine and do something else. Darn it anyway.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing a project!
Lots of medical problems. :-(
My biggest challenge is time plus deciding what to make next. So much fabric, so many patterns; I want to make them all!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finishing projects. I have so many doll clothes in various stages of completion. My dresses usually sell very quickly, but they also take more time.
My biggest challenge is to finish one outfit before starting another. I love them all so much!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to complete all the projects I want to do. With work and family responsibilities it’s sometimes difficult to carve out some time to spend with my sewing machine. Always grateful when an hour or two comes up!
My biggest challenge is to use up all my yarn and fabrics. I keep buildng my stashes without using enough of what I already have.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with difficult fabrics (slippery, thin, thick, whatever makes it difficult)
My biggest sewing challenge is getting my old fingers to work as well as my younger, more nimble, ones.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to sew
My biggest challenge is to complete one project before starting another. Always have several knit/crochet projects going at the same time.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenges are #1: time, #2: too many projects going, #3: too many projects in line for starting.
My biggest challenge is zippers! Installing so that both sides actually mirror is at times quite difficult. Nothing like a challenge to keep one sharp!
My biggest challenge is keeping my seams straight. I really have a lot of problems when it comes to sewing. I love to shop for material and look at patterns.
My biggest knitting challlenge is maintaining the correct gauge as I go. I have a tendency to knit too loose.
I have been trying to find a place to teach me how to crochet but can’t find anyone where I live. I would love to make the little hats. I’ll keep checking.
Finding uninterrupted, quality time to sew. It seems that just when I am making progress, life keeps knocking on the sewing room door.
My biggest sewing, challenge is getting good seZms in right little spaces.
My biggest challenge has been finding enough time to do all the projects I would like to do. I am retiring from work so the time challenge should not be an issue in 2020.
My biggest sewing challenge is leaving out my projects and not having a mess to look at.
My biggest sewing, knitting and crochet challenge is precisely fitting clothing, because I tend to dive into projects quickly, without making a swatch for yarn projects or trying new fabric patterns with muslins. As a result, I tend to make more loosely fitted things, like blankets, ponchos and pillows where finished size is less important.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is just finding the time to do all the things that I want to do.
My biggest sewing challenge is button holes. Getting them all the same length and equally spaced continues to frustrate me.
My biggest sewing Challenge is using scissors…sounds weird I know! But I have arthritis in my hands and cutting pattern pieces just kills me.
My biggest challenge – concentrating on the current project instead of planning the next three!!! So many patterns- so little time🙀
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping seam allowances neat without a serger
My biggest challenge is time….I work 55 hours a week and by the time I get home I am exhausted. Ive starting cutting out several small projects at a time on the weekend so that they are ready to pick up and sew for a few minutes each day.
My biggest challenge is having enough time.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is adjusting things for the arthritis bumps on my knuckles and relearning how to hold things differently, because my fingers do not close to my palms anymore. I haven’t failed one adjustment yet. :D
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is in knitting if mI have made a mistake I find it hard to tear out and pick up stitches. Most times it’s easier for me to start over!!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is starting. Once I get everything together and sit down I am fine.
My greatest sewing challenge is turning out corners to look sharp.
My biggest sewing, knitting and crochet challenge is finding time to see and crochet. But the biggest challenge as crafty as I am, I can’t knit.
My biggest sewing challenge is allowing myself time to sew.. sewing has to be happy.
My biggest sewing challenge is me. I over think and it take up so much of my sewing time. It is confidence even though I have been sewing over 50 years! My New Year resolution is not over thinking everything in my life!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing knitted pieces together. I love to knit, but I do not like sewing the seams. I usually end up with a pile of knitted items waiting to be sewn together.
My biggest sewing challenge is making the time to do it.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is (insert your struggle)…In knitting it would have to be using two or more different yarns to create a pattern. I always end up with a tight back or so many loose ends that it’s not funny.
My biggest challenge is to learn how to use my new serger and embroidery sewing machine, trying new techniques, and finding the time to do it all. I keep finding new inspiration on your site.
My biggest challenge is what do I do next! I have so many things I want to do, finish, and learn. Just not enough time!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is to keep my cat from being jealous and sitting on my project when I’m trying to work! I love him too much to make him move.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is getting myself organized so my time, space, and supplies are all lined up.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is finding the time to do it!
My biggest challenge would have to be the fact that I cant sew as fast as my ideas pop up. There is always some new inspiration I want to try and I just can’t keep up. I also have a huge stash of fabrics and untried patterns to work through but even though I tell myself I don’t need anything, I always manage to buy more. It’s my love and my therapy so I’m happy to have those as my challenges.
My biggest challenge is hemming knits so they don’t stretch out too much….
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing super stretchy knits. And finding the time.
Is making a square neck. I can never seem to pivot on the corner
My biggest sewing, knitting, and crochet challenge is hemming knit fabrics decently even with all the tricks!
My biggest knitting and crocheting challenge is finding the right yarn to do the project in the correct size.
My biggest challenge is not stretching knits too much when I am hemming the sleeves and bottoms.
My biggest challenge is trying not to be perfect. Sometimes it is better to leave the little mistake, instead of ruining the whole thing, because you took it out and it ripped, or you spent so much time redoing the crochet or knit, that it became overly costly.
My biggest sewing challenge is….there are so many! My hopes for the new year are to keep my sewing room organized so I know where things are when I need them, to stay focused on the projects that I need to get done and to enjoy more and stress less about all the things I have to do.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing with really silky fabrics- since there are so many other choices- it is becoming less of a challenge!
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is finding time to work on my projects.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is finding the right accessories for the doll clothes that I am making (plastic igloos for 18" dolls are in short supply), and finding places or uses for the other creations I make. (How many afghans can any one couch sustain?) Ever since the days in which I crocheted a bathing suit — Help!! — I have redirected my energies from making clothing that needs to fit to home embellishments. My most recent projects included 80+ crocheted cookies for our grandkids’ play kitchen.
My biggest challenge in crocheting is understanding what the abreviations are telling me to do.
My largest sewing challenge is sewing in the lining. It never wants to match up.
My biggest challenge is finding time to make everything i want to.
“My biggest sewing, knitting, & crochet challenge is making all the little odd bits and finishing things off.
So many patterns have you make all the little odd bits after making the main item, like little flowers, bows etc. I’ve learned for me it’s best to make all the little odd bits 1st and then make my big main item. And then finishing off all the ends, trimming, weaving ins and so forth are so tedious to me at times.
My biggest challenge is getting started. Once I do, I hate to stop.
My biggest knitting challenge was to complete a soft-sculpture lamb project. Despite knitting for 50 years, I struggled with the pattern. I wanted to exprience working with the bouclé yarns, and that was useful. I finally made it through to the end, with an OK result, but it was definitely an unhappy experience. But it’s all an experiment, isn’t it?
My biggest sewing challenge is handling the tinyness of doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is sometimes understanding what the pattern is tell me to do.
My biggest challenge is the whole sewing process now. I love sewing for my dolls but my sight is slowly deteriorating. I am unable to see properly to use my sewing machine now but I am still able to use your wonderful patterns on Pixie Faire. I hand sew them all but I have to hold my work very closely to me to see it. I really love to sew but it does put an enormous strain on my failing eyes but while I have some limited sight I will continue to carry on with my favourite hobby sewing for my dolls.
My biggest challenge is sewing on knits and special occasion fabrics. I struggle with tensions to get the fabric to lay correctly.
My biggest challenge for sewing is creating a space in my life to sew. Where I live currently, I don’t have a dedicated space for sewing and many of my tools are in storage and I miss them so much. Knitting is a little easier in that there are more portable projects and I can knit simple patterns without looking at the work, but I am rehabilitating my right shoulder from an injury so I’m not knitting right now.
My biggest challenge is sewing on fabrics such as nylon silk you know shear fabrics they crawl so I can’t seem to sew a straight line end up ripping out the seam more than once.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is having the right fabric to sew the cute outfits I want to make.
My biggest challenge is getting up my nerve to try something that I think is going to be difficult-
zippers, gathers, v-shaped bodices, knits to name a few – and then I get started and it’s not as difficult as I thought. (The Sewing with Cinnamon courses have been a big help!!)
My biggest sewing challenge is with stretch knit fabrics. I really don’t know how to sew with them and hence avoid them.
My biggest challenge is crochet! I sew and knit but have never been able to master crochet at all!
My biggest crochet challenge is to knot make the stitches to tight. I have had things turn out to small before.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is finding the time to spend on sewing!
My biggest sewing challenge is putting in zippers into small items and also finding extended blocks of time to sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is with knits. Doll seams are so tiny and I have a hard time keeping the seam a consistent 1/4 inch. I also know some basic knitting stitches but not enough to feel confident to make doll sweaters even though I would like to very much.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is deciding what to make next.
My biggest challenge is deciding what to make next
My biggest sewing challenge is to get through the multitude of patterns I own and make at least one of each.
My biggest sewing, knitting, and crochet challenge is sewing with knit fabrics.
My biggest challenge is sewing knits and thin hems.

My biggest sewing challenge is not really knowing how to sew, or the time to go to class and having so many naked dolls.
