My biggest challenge is getting supplies collected and getting started. After that things move along.
My biggest sewing challenge is making my sewing room convenient for sewing. I have organized my fabrics and projects, but they are not stored conveniently. I am constantly moving bins in and out of the closet to get what I need, which is not always easy when the bins are stacked on top of each other. I also need a convenient place to store my two boxes of embroidery thread so they are easier to access when I’m doing a project.
I love to sew and knit for 18 inch dolls. I started sewing for my Barbies when I was eight. Thank you so much for this awesome giveaway.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is (insert your struggle staying organized.
Is biggest sewing challenge is getting it right the first time without having to rip it apart. My other challenge is having the discipline to not buy unneeded fabric!
My biggest sewing challenge is carving out time to sit and sew
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is changing the pattern to fit the Maplelea and Carpatine/Magic Attic/Just Pretend dolls.
My biggest sewing challenge was making a wedding dress from a size 12 to a 22. It turned out beautiful and no one would have known if they didn’t already know. It was a challenge that I didn’t think would turn out, but in the end it made the bride beautiful.
My biggest sewing challenge was making a wedding dress from a size 12 to a 22. It turned out beautiful and no one would have known if they didn’t already know. It was a challenge that I didn’t think would turn out, but in the end it made the bride beautiful.
MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR ALL OF MY PROJECTS IS CLEARING OUT THE LAST PROJECT SUPPLIES BEFORE I START A NEW PROJECT. CLEAN-UP WOULD MAKE THE NEXT PROJECT SO MUCH SIMPLER!!!!
My biggest challenge is buttonholes. Even after sewing for many many years buttonholes put me in a panic.
My biggest sewing challenge is figuring out what I want to sew . I have so many patterns and my goal is to make one of each before I am unable to sew anymore.
MY BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR ALL OF MY PROJECTS IS CLEARING OUT THE LAST PROJECT SUPPLIES BEFORE I START A NEW PROJECT. CLEAN-UP WOULD MAKE THE NEXT PROJECT SO MUCH SIMPLER!!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is what to do with the leftover fabric after I’ve cut out what I want.
My biggest sewing challenge is rolled hems on the serger. They always look like the dog munched them!
My biggest sewing and knitting challenge is getting things to fit properly. Not all of my AG dolls have the same sized body (some are older dolls) so clothes don’t fit them all the same.
My greatest sewing challenge is which one to start on next. I also see bags for an outreach company and making enough per month is a challenge because I have so many other projects going.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is 1) learning how to use a sewing machine and 2) being patient when I’m not learning as fast as I’d like to! I’ve been hand-sewing since I was a kid but I need to finally learn how to use a machine lol.
Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
My biggest sewing challenge is cutting a straight line.
My biggest challenge is making time to sew!
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is hand sewing. I find that I would much rather sew with the machine than do any hand sewing." I think it has to do with getting older and having arthritis in my thumb, definitely makes holding small things more difficult.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is finishing one project before starting the next beautiful item. The Pixie Faire patterns are so much fun to assemble. Friends and family are astounded at the detail in each little garment. I love gifting the clothes to my grand daughter’s dolls.
My biggest sewing challenge, even after over 50 years of sewing, is the zipper! I nearly have a meltdown every time I have to put one in. It’s embarrassing! How I want to sew a beautiful zipper every time!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is what to make. Once I get the urge to sew it takes me forever to make a decision on what pattern to make. Over the years I have collected many patterns so now I have a smorgasbord of choices to have to go through before I make my decision. However, once I make that choice, I will sew like the wind.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is deciding which project to start.
My biggest sewing challenge is staying focused on the project I am currently working on. While I sew, I am thinking up about five more things to design and make! Needless to say, I am always very busy! LOL!!!
My biggest challenge when knitting and/or crocheting is getting the gauge correct .
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is combining two patterns to make a 1700 ’s gown for my daughter to wear in her musical theater class. ( She is the wardrobe in Beauty and the Beast jr).
My biggest challenge is to finish projects that I have started!
My biggest challenge is to resist the temptation to start another project before finishing at least one that I’ve already started. Too many hobbies, too little time!
My biggest knitting challenge is keeping my dog away from the yarn. She will find my yarn and wrap it around the house! She likes the red colored yarn the best.
My biggest sewing challenge is making a Kaleidoscopequilt. I am ready with sewing all the hexagons together, but I will quilt all of them with my hands and not with the machine. I hope next year I will finish my work.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding enough time to sew the things I want.
I love to sew and crochet and a multitude of other crafting projects but never seem to have the time to devote to it the way I would like.
My biggest sewing challenge seems to be working with silky fabrics and making linings look perfect.
My biggest sewing challenge always remains the same—knits!! I sew on a vintage Kenmore from the 70’s so a fancy new machine would probably take care of that, but can’t afford. Plus I love my sturdy, non-electronic Kenmore complete with cams and buttonholer. lol Always looking for tips on sewing knits on a regular machine.
My biggest knitting challenge at the moment, is trying to knit with Yarn Bee, Snuggle Up yarn from Hobby Lobby. It has tiny threads coming off the main thread, and they get all wrapped around the needles. It’s hard to see the actual stitch and it’s very easy to think the wrap around little threads are the actual stitch. Therefore, a stitch is dropped and it’s impossible to catch it. I’ve had to start over after knitting 20 rows and again after 10 rows. I WILL get the 15" completed…… I will….I will…..I will
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew all the wonderful doll clothes patterns from Pixie Faire in the midst of all else that needs done around the house!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to actually work on those projects designed in my head!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding tiny calico prints in classic colors and designs. These were all over the place in the 1990’s, but are now either monochromatic or too trendy for classic doll clothes. Another challenge is lace-weight yarn in 100% wool. Sorry, Lion Brand, but acrylic in a doll scale just looks cheap.
My biggest challenge: I wish I knew how to knit! Always wanted to learn, and have never gotten started. Maybe this will be the year!
By biggest sewing challenge is choosing what to make next!
My biggest challenge is trying to find a good bag that will carry my stuff and my yarn when I’m in the middle of a project and we need to go somewhere.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is choosing what to do. I am like a kid in a candy store with so many choices and a limited amount of money. For sewing it is the time I waste not knowing what to do next. I have way too many wonderful patterns. :-)
My biggest challenge is finding that pattern or item I just had a minute ago! I am sure there is a sewing elf in my house hiding things.
My biggest sewing challenge is time – there’s never enough.
“My biggest sewing and crochet challenge is: to find the time to complete the projects I am working on, because I have so many ideas.
My biggest challenge is staying organized!
My biggest challenge is staying organized!
Currently my biggest sewing challenge is finding room in my cluttered sewing room to actually sew!!!! :D Sorting and cleaning it is one of the first things on my to-do list for 2020.
My biggest challenge is making the inside of the garment look professional. I also want to work on buttonholes and zippers.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is knowing how to alter patterns for the differences in the dolls sizes. In other words, when working on a pattern made for the newer AG dolls, where should i make the adjustments to fit the chubbier ones. When it comes to kitting or crocheting – it would be knowing how to do that in general, I have tried several times, just starting with a simple square – but it doesn’t work out. So – I sew. =-)
My biggest sewing challenge is time, to organize fabrics, to choose what to make next and to sew all I want to make.
My biggest challenge is just getting started!
My biggest challenge is finding the fabric or trim in my sewing room, that I know I have bought for a project. I try so hard to stay organized, but I swear there are little mischievous elves at work hiding my fabric! Somehow they know just what to hide from me. I’m really getting tired of searching for what I know I already own. I usually find it right after I have moved on to another project or have missed my deadline. Perhaps I should make them outfits and shoes!!
. . . distributing gathers evenly!
My biggest knitting challenge is keeping the correct direction on circular needles.
My biggest problem is my sewing area keeps growing and growing. I’m nearly in every room on the main floor now.
My biggest sewing challenge is making time to actually sit down and sew. I tend to collect all the supplies but not make anything.
my biggest challenge in crocheting is keeping my tension the same so my stitches are even
Lifelong chronic illness means limited budget and space are my greatest sewing challenges. Recent medical breakthroughs have me feeling better and picking up hobbies where I left off decades ago. Can I be aging backwards?
My biggest challenge for sewing right now is to “find” my sewing room. It has become a Santa Workshop, Hidden Package Storage, Furniture Storage, Gift Wrapping item storage, Temporary Cat Haven, Holiday Storage area for a month now. . .Can’t find any of my sewing stuff right now, including my machine. .can’t wait to claim it back and get reorganized so I can begin the creative process again. (Has to wait till we get the Christmas decorating down on New Years Day).
Biggest challenge are gathers at shoulders. The tiny pattern pieces make it difficult to get right.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is sewing on knit fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is maintaining g a perfect 1/4 inch seam.
My biggest crochet challenge is reading the pattern. I just can’t get the hang of it.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits and satins. I have purchased a class on it, but taking it just hasn’t made it to the top of my procrastination list yet.
My biggest sewing challenge is certain pockets. I want them to be perfect and they aren’t always that way.
My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is trying to keep all my pattern pieces of each pattern in same envelope after cutting out the fabric
My biggest sewing challenge is my self confidence. I’m always intimidated to try new techniques or patterns for fear of failure.
My biggest challenge is trying to put in a zipper. I pretty much just avoid it completely.
My biggest challenge in sewing, knitting, crocheting and just in life in general is finding the time to finish something once I start it. Unless I’m held to a serious, outwardly imposed deadline, I will be distracted by daily responsibilities and necessities and lose momentum. It’s easy for me to get inspired and start something exciting and new, but not so easy to follow through!
My biggest sewing challenge are zippers. I know tricks for doing them “easily” but yet I can rarely get the straight and always struggle. I also can’t find zippers to fit doll-sized clothes… so I just leave them out and use hook & loop tape instead (though I hate sewing that as well…the hook side likes breaking thread).
My biggest sewing challenge is to find prints and accessories that are small enough for 18” dolls. Buttons, zippers, and fabric prints are item too large and spoil the scale if the outfit I am trying to create.
My biggest knitting challenge is keeping the stitches even.
My biggest sewing challenge is that my machine eats certain kinds of fabric!!
“My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is" sewing in the front facings, they are always too long, or too wide, they fit just not the way they are supposed to..I am stubborn, so I will keep at it until it is a reasonable facsimile and glad it is too long as opposed to being too short! Thankyou for this great give-away too…so generous 🧡
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding time!
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding which project to do first. I always have project in mind that I want to do – but which to do first?
My biggest sewing challenge is my crafting/sewing space. It seems to always get cluttered with things no one knows what to do with, especially when housecleaning. “Stuff” seems to end up all over my space. Then comes finding the motivation to get the mess cleaned up so I can enjoy my projects. Ugh! Wish I had a room all of my very own!
My biggest challenge is trying to decide what to start on first. And then once that’s done, what’s next? So many ideas in my head! So many things I want to make.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is time to do all the projects I want/need to do.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding uninterrupted time. You would think with no children that would be easy, but no, my husband and my mother both live here and think I should respond to their needs first…like eating, and clean laundry. And let’s not forget doctor appointments. Sigh….LOL
I have so many projects to do (Especially doll clothes!) that it is very hard to find the time to complete then all.
My biggest crochet challenge is tension. I have had numerous sweet ladies try to teach me how to crochet but the tension is one thing I could never master in which every kind lady that attempted this with me quit. I can knit and sew easily so I stick with what I can do.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is finding the time to do any of them. I have so many grand plans and things I want to do.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is trying to find appropriate knits. The stores around me only carry solid knits (black, gray, white) or very large prints. The only small/cute/affordable patterns seem to be at Walmart – buying ready made knit garments in the children’s department and cutting them apart.
My biggest challenge in sewing (doll clothes) is adapting patterns to fit my doll of choice (Groovy Girls dolls), who has slightly different proportions and much larger feet than most dolls of her height. Many Pixie Faire patterns do work, however, for which I am grateful.
My other challenge is putting contrasting fabrics together; some people are so talented this way, but I am not!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is organization – fabrics and supplies
I live in a very small rural town that is several miles away from any sewing/crafting supplies. While there is always on line shopping, it doesn’t replace being able to see actual colors or feel textures.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do it!!’
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is motivating myself to continue with a project after I have decided that I don’t like how something looks and need to rip it out. I set it down and walk away to give myself time to think about how I want to fix it. Ultimately, it ends up in my UFO pile.
As the oldest member of a three generation homeschooling family, I spend a lot of time teaching sewing to my granddaughters and to several families in our homeschool community. Even though I’m retired I still have trouble finding time to sew by myself. I have so many projects planned, cut out and bagged up ready to go. I love that these kids all want to learn such an important skill But it does cut into my own sewing time.
“My biggest sewing challenge is picking the fabric. I’m a quilter and it takes me forever to decide which fabrics go together. I love precuts because they do all the work for me.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is feeling confident enough to start a new project or skill. Sometimes with knitting or crocheting, I haven’t done it in a while and I have to re learn the language.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time, and energy, to complete all the projects I have planned.
My biggest sewing challenge is time
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is feeling confident enough to start a new project or skill. Sometimes with knitting or crocheting, I haven’t done it in a while and I have to re learn the language.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding time to sew for fun. Between work and family, me time is sparse. I have so many projects that I am excited about doing but they never seem to get started.

My biggest Sewing challenge is trying to adapt patterns to an easier way, if possible. ! am a long time sewer ( about 60 years and a long time Quilter about 40 year) and find there are so many easier ways to do things. I find it in sewing and especially my quilting and I always want to include them in my project to save time and frustration…
