Hi Everyone! Welcome back! Let's jump right into Part 3 and you can follow along to see how easy it is to create these adorable sandals for smaller dolls like WellieWishers and Ruby Red Fashion Friends!
For this project we are using the pattern pieces from the Dollistocks pattern for Les Cheries and Hearts For Hearts Girls dolls. This pattern is originally designed with the Shape 2 pre-cut soles prior to the addition of the Shape 3 soles. We found that the strap pattern pieces work with both sole shapes. The pattern will be updated to reflect that, but for now we are using it as is.
The supplies needed are available in the Leila (Shape 3) or Kiki (Shape 2) shoe kits. We're using the simplified method of solid cork soles, similar to the 18" size design.
For this smaller scale we've opted for a 3mm cork sole paired with a 2mm base sole. We're also using the single strap variation with a buckle that fits a 1/4" wide strap. The only thing not included int he kit is hot glue and the hot glue gun.
