Sewing Holiday Traditions - Part 3

Merry Christmas Everyone! With all of the hustle and bustle going on this time of year, I like to take a little time to slow down and enjoy some of our favorite Christmas traditions. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, my husband keeps a playlist of our favorite Christmas Carols playing throughout the day and I start nearly every morning making a batch of our favorite Christmas cookies so we will have a whole assortment to enjoy between Christmas and New Years.

Most evenings, we cozy up with a warm blanket to watch one of our favorite Christmas movies or read a favorite Christmas story to our grandsons. As I was working on The Occasional Elf pattern for you, I was reminded of one of my all-time favorite Christmas stories and it fit so well with this project that I decided to do things a little differently in this tutorial so that I could share it with you.

Follow along as I work on my latest project, The Occasional Elf for Mini Dolls by Karen Lorraine. Grab a cup of Hot Cocoa, sit back and listen to the story of The Elves and the Shoemaker, a Fairy Tale by the Brothers Grimm.

I hope you remember this story as you dress your own little elves this Christmas-time. It's a beautiful evening here so I think I will go out and see the Christmas lights before the snow comes and I settle in with some hot cocoa and Christmas cookies. Have a Blessed Christmas!
