When my Kenmore bit the dust after 40+ years my husband bought me a Brother machine. It’s quite different from my Kenmore but I love how lightweight it is!
I use a Brother sewing machine. I like it because it has many different stitch options. I can even sew words. Pretty neat.
I use the Sapphire 930. The thing I like most about it is it is so simple to use.
I use a standard sewing machine and a serger machine. The thing I like most about the serger is that it makes the inside of the garments look just as neat as the outside.
I use a Brother for my full-sized machine, and since I’ve had Brother machines since I was 17, I’m super comfortable with the controls and how the machine runs overall. But I also have a Michley mini sewing machine. The thing I like most about the mini is that I can tuck it in my purse (cord, pedal, and all) and take it on the go! I also make costumes for the plays my son does, so it’s wonderful to have a tiny, portable machine to bring with me to dress rehearsals and the show-nights themselves, in the event anyone pops a seam or needs a quick adjustment! Faster than hand-sewing; none of the bulk of my full-sized machine. It’s the perfect combination!
I use a Janome 6500… The thing I like most about it is it does everything I need it to do. It has a good array of stitches and a needle down function.
I use a Janine. The thing I like most about it is EVERYTHING! It’s easy to use, no cams but tons of stitch choices, automatic tension adjustment, automatic height adjustment for fabric thickness. And it was my mom’s, given to me by my dad about 3 days before we lost her, which makes it extra special.
I use a Janome Platinum for all small items such as my doll clothes. The thing I like most about it is that it so so light weight. I can carry it to my weekly stitch class with no problems, where as the Janome 3600 is so much heavier.
I started sewing when I was around 12. I am sewing on a Singer Athena 2000 that I bought used in1978 to make maternity clothes.
I like it because I know what to expect. I don’t have a serger, but don’t know all they can do or how much I’d use one.
I use a Husqvarna Designer 1. The thing I like most about it is everything. I bought this machine at an auction about 9 years ago. I can’t believe it has been that long. Before that I was using a 30+ year old Kenmore machine which I loved, but it tended to eat my fabric when I tried to sew small seams.
Only thing in the house is an antique Singer that straight stitches. Gotta get creative when it comes to all these new computer sewers and patterns.
“I use a Brother sewing machine… The thing I like most about it is it is the only one I could afford when my Singer quit.”
I loved my Singer Golden Touch and Sew. It quit after 20 years. To many plastic gears. I also had access to a Pfaff and loved working with it.
I use a Bernina180 but am starting to shop for a new machine -specifically looking for one that handles changes in thicknesses better.
I use a 40 year old Singer Creative Touch and a 20 year old Baby Lock serger. I like that the Singer has seen me through 40 years of sewing for children, friends and craft shows I used to do with a friend. It is full of good memories and while I would like to get a new machine, I will never part with my Singer.
I use a Brother sewing machine. What I like most is that it has a push button sew option, so I can use it without an attached floor peddle. I also love that it is light weight, has built in embroidery stitches, and is easy to maintain.
“I just got my first machine. It’s a small Kenmore. The thing I like most about it is weighs less than the plug! Great for traveling or moving lots. I’m excited to earn how to sew my own doll clothes on it.
I use a Brother LB6810 embroidery machine. The thing I like most about it is its like coloring with thread. It is quite addictive and a whole lot of fun ?
I use a simple Singer machine and have bought 2 for my daughters-in-law. They are perfect for simple sewing, price is right (under$100) and last!
I use a brother sewing machine. The thing I like about it is it is also an embroidery machine. It has many new features that aid in sewing that my old machine did not have.
I love my Janome memory craft 9000 and my New Home serger. Before sewing the pieces together on my serger (which is super reliable), I can use the embroidery function to personalize my little outfits. I also use a cover stitch machine, which makes hemming a breeze!
I use a machine from JC Pennys my Mum bought for me 34 years ago when we came to the USA. I wanted to make curtains for my home. My favorite things I’ve made have been my children’s Halloween outfits. it’s just a basic machine but is still going strong. My favorite thing about it is its very well made.
Thank you four the chance to win.
Vicky
I use a brother machine currently… The thing I like most about it is the easy bobbin refill and setting. This is a great and easy to use machine for making small items like doll clothes and crafts.
I use a Janome Jem Platinum 760 … The thing I like most about it is that it sews like a dream. I’ve made many quilts and clothes and it does a wonderful job. Thick or thin, it does it all.
“I use a Pfaff sewing machine and Coverlock server. The thing I like most about them is that I never have any problems with them and they are easy to thread and adjust.
I used three different sewing machines. One is a 50 year old Singer which straight stitches and zigzags without attachments, everything else requires attachments but it is still my favorite with it’s attachment for making buttonholes. I also have a Singer computer machine, think of it you can do it. Then there is my Brother machine which also embroiders.
I use a 21 year old Bernina and what I love most about is it sews smooth beautiful stitches and is still quiet
I mainly use a Janome Memory Craft. I love it because it has a great variety of built in stitches, can handle heavy to delicate work, and is very smooth. I also use a Janome serger and a Husqvarna Viking.
I use a brother sew machine . What I like about it is all the different stitch
I use a very old machine when I sew. The thing I like best about it is that it was my mother’s.
I have a brother sewing machine, an embroidery machine & serger (which to be honest I haven’t figured out how to use) really luv my embroidery machine.
I use a Husqvarna viking E20 – because I don’t know how to use the Husqvarna huskylock 910 my mom gave me 4 years ago. Someday I will learn how to use it but for now it’s easier to use what I know.
I have two Brother machines – I love the variety of features and the fact that they embroider as well.
I use an IKEA SY, and I love it because it’s sturdy and a great machine for a beginner like me. Plus, all its insides are metal.
I use a Viking sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is its dependability
“I use an old Singer. Parts on it don’t work but The thing I like most about it is it’s still going!
I am a beginning sewer and have made Sundresses for 18 inch dolls. I have a Kenmore sewing machine that I bought when I got married 30 some years ago. Reading patterns and understanding them is hard for me.

I use Bernina B780. I like this machine for everything I can do with it. From the stitching, to adding embroidery, to finishing seams, decorative stitches, and so much more.
I use two machines. My Brother Electronic Quilting machine and My Brother Sewing and Quilting machine. I LOVE them both. I searched for months from quilt store to quilt store to online this and online that. But I’m extremely happy with the choice I made in buying the two machines. I love the smooth operation of both, and the quietness of both while sewing. Operating both was easy to learn with all that was provided with purchase and online and the support online was also easy to manage. I’M IN LOVE!!!!!!
I use a Bernina 830 Limited Edition. I like so many things about this machine. It has great lighting and a large bobbin. It has differential feed. I really like and use several feet for most projects, I couldn’t get by without the edge foot for accurate stitching.
“I use a Brother Sewing Machine and a Singer]… The thing I like most about it is The Brother is small enough to move where I might decide to sew indoor or out. Te Singer is larger and can be kept in the sewing area for all types of sewing, from Doll Clothing to Human sewing to quilting.
I use a Janome sewing machine and love it because it has been a great work horse and
I put it through a lot of work!!!
I use a Brother machine. And to be honest, I’m still not a big fan. After 8 years of using this machine I still get super frustrated with it although I am finally learning some of its quirks and things are getting easier.

The thing I like most about it is I finally learned I can use it to embroider!
I use a Janome Memory Craft The thing I like most about it is that it is a workhorse.I can patch a pair of jeans and I can finish a wedding gown. Have had the Janome brand for almost 40 years. I have their coverlock too.
I have three machines – a New Home 7000, a Singer serger and an old Singer student machine. Each does some things better than others. I have been working to get more confident with my serger – it is great for edging and is much faster than the other two but is a little scary because it is so fast. The New Home 700 is great for most sewing but the old Singer (30+ years old and still going strong!) works better for some things, especially heavier fabrics. I love all different types of sewing and really enjoy the variety of doll patterns available from Pixie Faire.
I have a burnia that I inherited from my grandmother many years ago. It works wonderful. I also have a badylock serger I was given for my birthday 23 years ago. I really love to see and both my machines make it so much easier
I use a Janome, and the thing I like most about it is the number of stitches it came programmed with. So many decorative options!
I use a Brother 4660 machine with an older model Brother for backup
I just bought a new Janome and love all the neat features like needle down when I stop. I also use my serger a lot.
I use a Brother Dream Machine. I love all the features it has like the ability to scan something and then embroider it. Also the laser light for seam allowance.

I use a Viking and it is very reliable. I have used the brand for 50 years. I also have a serger that I want to learn how to use.
I use a Brother that I bought 13 yrs ago. The only thing I like about it is that I’m getting a new one soon.
I use a Bernina Aurora 440 Quilters Edition, which was passed down to me from my grandmother, and it is very dear to my heart. I love how everything is so easy to adjust, like direction of sewing, stitch size, stitch pattern, and it is very much an upgrade from the old, rickety family one I was using before. :)
I USE A BROTHER SEWING MACHINE. WHAT I LIKE BEST ABOUT IT, IS ITS VERY RELIABLE AND LIGHT WEIGHT TO CARRY WITH ME.
I use a Husqvarna Viking and I love it because it does everything!
I use a Singer. The thing I like most about it is the simplicity being a beginner, and the availability of tutorials.
I have owned several sewing machines in the almost 60 years I’ve been seeing and each was my favorite until I got another, but there was always something that the older machine did better than the new one. My present go to one is my Singer for the decorative stitches which by the way work wonders for solving disputes over doll clothes when you have multiple sizes of dolls and granddaughters at play
I have a basic Janome. I can depend on it to always do what I ask!
I use a Baby Lock Imagine serger and an old Bernina 830 Record sewing machine. I love the air threading and no tension adjustments on the serger and I love the stitch quality of the vintage sewing machine.
“I use a Singer 6267. The thing I like most about it is that it is mine and has lasted, for the most part, for over 30 years.

I currently have two Brothers and a Singer. I have to say, I prefer the Brothers, although I have a repairman who keeps both the Singer and older Brother in good working order for me!
i have serger and four other machine we do simple sewing i do lot of scape thing like the bed blanket and then the other 2 ladeies do clothes
I use a basic huskavarna Viking machine my husband bought me shortly after we got married, and a matching serger I got when my first baby was born and I was sewing diapers. I love my workhorse machines! The aren’t fiddly and I don’t have to adjust them every time I sit down to sew.
I use a Bernina. The thing I like most is that it has embroidery capabilities.
“I use a Janome Sewist 625E. It is a basic mechanical machine that I bought a few years ago to replace my 1976 Singer Stylist. The thing I like most about it is the needle up/down button. Never had that feature with the old Singer. A serger will be my next acquisition, but I’m still doing research.
I use an old Brother Machine. Nothing Fancy. When kids are grown I’m gonna dive into sewing head first and really Learn, Learn, Learn as there is always something to sew.
I use a Kenmore sewing machine that I’ve had for over 40 years. The thing I like most about it is that it still works!
I use a Singer 221 that was made in 1946. It is easy to use and carry with me when ever I want to go somewhere and want to sew on it.
I use an older Kenmore portable machine that is so light & small it can go everywhere I go. I also have a cabinet model Kenmore, but the small one is my go-to machine. I love how smoothly it sews.
I use a 1930 Precision machine. The thing I like most about it, is the very narrow seam allowance I can sew with it.
I use both a brother and a singer. What I like most about them is that I am able to string them easy and my kids gave them to me
I use a Singer sewing machine and serger. The thing I like most about it is the ease with which I find compatible accessories.
I own the Pfaff 2048 I absolutely love it. It does everything I need it to and it’s not complicated. Why did I choose a Pfaff? I grew up using a Pfaff. My mom had one which I inherited. Then a few years ago my husband treated me to a brand new one. Great machine. Well made.
I use a Singer One that I’ve owned for approximately 3 years. What I like best about this machine is that it is digital and I love all the different stitches it has that will work for any project I’m sewing.
I own the Pfaff 2048 I absolutely love it. It does everything I need it to and it’s not complicated. Why did I choose a Pfaff? I grew up using a Pfaff. My mom had one which I inherited. Then a few years ago my husband treated me to a brand new one. Great machine. Well made.

I use a Bernina. The thing I like most about it is how well it sews, especially from sheer to thick fabrics. It is a very well made machine.
I starting a new tradition for my granddaughter.
I have a Husqvarna Viking. It is solid. It is not the most complicated one with all the stitches since I don’t use them. It was not all that expensive though I forget what I paid. I like that it sounds good and strong and not shaky and rakety like some other brands have become. I sewed on Singer for years and even have my grandmothers antique treadle machine from 1908 and my Mothers from the 1930s. My mom taught sewing for Singer back then and that’s how she met my dad.
I use a Brother CS-100 sewing machine and a Brother S234PRW Serger. The thing I like most about the sewing machine is the choice of stitches. The serger is a dream to sew in. The thing I love about both machines is that they were a gift from my daughter, who grew up watching me sew both clothes and doll clothes for her and her sister.
I sew using both a Brother sewing machine and a very old serger that takes lots of patience to work with. I’m grateful for them, though, and look forward to lots of fun new doll clothes in my future. I really hope to finally open my Etsy shop in 2018!
I use a Pfaff 7570. The thing I like most about it is it’s versatility and the built-in dual feed that acts like a walking foot.
I use a Singer with varied stitches. It is a newer model Singer, but I also have a 1930’s Singer . The newer Singer ,I like the varied stitches on it and have done stitching for hems on clothes made for my grand daughters doll. She loves it. My older Singer I love the ease and quietness of it !
I use a Viking Topaz and a Singer serger. I’m learning the Viking, but enjoying all the capabilities. Looking forward to learning embroidery so I can add to my doll clothes!
