I use a Brother. The thing I like about it is that it’s portable, which is what I have needed since I don’t have a craft room. It’s a very simple machine…doesn’t do much. Hope to get a better one someday.
I love, love, love that little Union suit/pj that the Wellie Wisher is wearing. Too cute!

I have a Babylock Verve, Viking Designer Ruby, my mothers White (zig zag), a singer featherweight 221- they are stored away, the one that keeps winning out and is in use is my Singer 222K (like the 221 but drop feed and removeable table for free arm work). I love its quietness, it’s quality,
It just does what it’s supposed to without any hype and pickiness. It’s the one I would never want to part with.

I use a Bernina 1530 sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is the perfect stitches and I have never have any issues with the older Bernina’s. I don’t have the newer Bernina’s so I can’t comment on them. I love all the feet that are the trademark of Bernina.

I too own several sewing machines but the one I love and use the most is a Singer that is from the 1950’s. It will sew through most any fabric, and after sewing on it for more than 40 years I think it has!

My current machine I use is a Brother. It does a great job on the projects I have made. The Brother has so many features! I used to sew for my now grown children with a simple Bernina. I will always keep that machine, as it holds a lot of good memories for me! My daughter learned to love sewing with this machine. Happy New Year to all!

I use a PFAFF Quilt Expression 4.2 and the thing I like most about it is the presser foot automatically lifts slightly, with the needle down, so you can move your material around, then when you continue to sew the presser foot goes back down. No more having to remember to move that presser foot leaver around manually.

I have an “Old but Goody” trusty Viking Husquvarna that is about the same age as me…when I bought her re-furbished, I was impressed that I could sew as much as needed with a “work horse” of a machine. She is not fancy, there are no bells and whistles, but I can create anything—doll clothes, quilts, tailoring, wedding/bridesmaids/flower girl dresses…I have only needed to have my machine worked on twice in just a little over 10 years! I love my sewing machine, and would be lost without her! She’s a keeper!

I just adore Emerson and this give-away, thank you Pixie Faire!

Currently I have an 8 year old husqsvarna Viking Emerald 116. It was given to me by my husband the year our first daughter was born. I love that it’s sturdy and can handle my constant sewing and that I can move it from place to place as I finish my pieces. I would love to learn how to use a server and would love to try my hand at a more sophisticated machine…just to see how it feels. Most of what I’ve learned about sewing has been on my mothers old server and a basic Brother. My current machine, though old has been wonderful!

I use a Janome 4030 QDC. The thing I like most about it is it sews through all types of fabric, has a quilting foot, and has an easy needle threader on it. I don’t have a serger but I would love to have one someday. I’ve used my sister’s baby lock on certain projects, but mostly use a French seam if it’s important to have a clean inside seam. I started sewing in 8th grade (learned in school and from my Mom) and I am still sewing 30 years later. I make quilts and also doll outfits for my daughters.
