I use a Brother sewing machine, my very first that my family bought me for Christmas last year. I have been printing as many free patterns as possible and have really enjoyed teaching myself to sew clothes for dolls, my daughters love it as well.
I use a Viking Husqvarna machine. It is easy to use and has lots of features!
I use a Baby Lock Destiny II, and I love the embroidery features.
I have two sewing machines that belonged to my mom. One is a 1951 Singer and one is a Janome. I used to sew with my mom sitting beside me and instructing me so everything I do now is challenging-but I am learning. What I like most about my machines is that they belonged to my mom.
I use an EuroPro sewing machine. I’ve had it forever. I like it because it has many stitch patterns and because it is low maintenance. It is great for 1/4" seams because the tension on the pressure foot adjust easily to the fabric I am using. I have a White serger, but I haven’t mastered it and find it much difficult to use.
I use a Kenmore Sewing machine from 1988. I like it because it’s held up to a massive amount of sewing!
I use 2 Bernina machines and a Singer serger. I love that each machine has so many different uses. I have just started to do embroidery and my old Bernina is a workhorse when I am sewing doll clothes. I also have my Grandmothers 100 year old Singer and my Mothers Singer feather weight which I learned to sew on.

It is great for 1/4" seams because the tension on the pressure foot adjust easily to the fabric I am using. I have a White serger, but I haven’t mastered it and find it much difficult to use.
I use a 1970s Viking that belonged to my husband’s grandmother. I love its reliability and the family history of using the same machine for my projects that she used to make so many things for my husband and his family when he was little. I would like to upgrade to something a little newer, but I can’t afford the machine I would want. I have been sewing by hand most of my life and consider myself experienced at sewing and designing my own projects, but in many ways I am still learning. I am a beginner when it comes to things like buttonholes and zippers.
I use a Babylock Destiny to sew and embroider. I love it because it is easy to use and offers numerous pattern and embroidery designs.
I use a Bernina 1260 (older machine). I love its reliability and stitch quality.
My homage to my dear 1940s Kenmore sewing machine Ole ‘Betsy’. She was made for Sears by the White company and was the workhorse in American homes. She was handed down to me when I was 10 when my Mom got the new Singer Stretch and Sew. There must be millions and millions of miles of stitches on that wonderful machine as we have grown older together. She doesn’t do any fancy stitches, although she has a little box of mystery attachments. She’s dependable, solid and will live forever. My precious daughters and granddaughters all sat on my lap and learned to sew, first starting threadless using simple shaped unused drawings & coloring book pages to get acquainted and they all quickly fell in love with it. In addition to a lifetime of sewing, (including hundreds and hundreds of doll clothes/accessories), I continue to do a great deal of invaluable volunteer work on her. I wouldn’t trade Ole ‘Betsy’ for anything! Thank you Pixie Faire and fellow sewers for all your ideas and inspirations!
I use a Babylock Soprano as my primary machine. I also have a Bernia for the heavy stuff like vinyl and pleather, a Brother Serger, and a Babylock cover stitch. I learned to sew a few years ago on a Singer – which is horrible and makes you think that the mistakes it makes are yours. Since then I have found that having the proper tools makes sewing more fun and enjoyable and I am sewing more and more.
I use an old White sewing machine most (I have several others) and I most like how inexpensive it was and how well it has worked for me over the 15+ years I’ve had it.
I use a Brother HC 1850 (also have a Baby Loc serger)The things I like most about it: it runs smoothly, has a variety of stitches, and it was a great price.
I use an old Singer Fashion Mate. It was a wedding gift (40 + years ago) from my husband. It still works well and is simple enough for me to use without having to read directions every time I want to use it!
I use a Brother sewing machine. The thing I like the best is that it’s very easy to use.
I use a 1957 Singer Featherweight as well as a Janome 6500 sewing machines.
I like the look of vintage, so I love using the Featherweight.
And I like the stitch variations of the Janome.
Thank You!!
I use of Brother Dreamweaver XE machine. The thing I like most about it is that it threads the needle for you and cuts the threads as well as it’s versatility.
I use a Kenmore and it does everything I need, plus more. I like that I can grow with it.
I use a Janome Memory Craft 6500P. The thing I love about it most is the auto threader, thread-cutter, and very reliable even feed. These are simple features, but they make every single seam a breeze!
I use an inexpensive brother to sew with, it is easy to carry to and from my sewing group and simple enough my daughter’s can explore the world of sewing and I’m not worried about them breaking it.
I have an old Kenmore- approx. 60 years old. Was inherited from a great-aunt, Love it as it is simple to use and still sews great.
I’ve only had my HV Diamond about 6 months. Love exploring all its features & built-in embroidery stitches.
I use a singer. What I love most about it is it’s simplicity!
I use a Juki sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is the variety of stitching options and ease of use.
I use a Brother sewing machine. The thing I like most about it is that it’s so easy to use!
I have a Kenmore that I have had for years. The thing I like about it most is that I know it well and it’s simple to use.
I use a Bernina Aurora 440 Quilters Edition. This is a machine from England that my sister and I got when our grandmother passed away. The thing I like most about it is that it is very easy to use, and is very user friendly, even for beginners. My sister is like the sewing queen, but I am very much a beginner in the world of sewing.
I use a Brother sewing machine and I like all the different stitches I can use to embellish my doll’ s dresses.
“I use a Husqvarna Viking Designer SE.… The thing I like most about it is the multitude of available stitches besides the embroidery attachment.

“I am so blessed to own a Babylock 10 needle embroidery machine. Since I mostly embroider, I like it because I don’t have to change the thread colors very often
I own & love my Singer sewing machine. It’s 50 years old and was a top of the line machine when my dh bought it for me. I would not trade it for anything…In it’s lifetime it has sewn Vinyl , canvas , upholstery fabric & I’ve sewn my children’s & my clothing & also doll clothes..:)

I use an old singer machine that my aunt gave me. The best thing that I like about it is that it is easy and very simple to use that I am also teaching my kids to use it, and that it still works for us.
I purchased a Viking Sapphire 960Q two or three years ago. I like the self threading needle because I am a senior who doesn’t see as well as when I first started sewing. I originally bought it for my quilting projects but this last year has been all about doll clothes. I am constantly changing threads and it is a breeze.
I use a Singer Heavy Duty and I like it because I do alot of mending and alterations and it stands up to everything I sew!
I use a Singer Patchwork. The thing I like most about it is that it’s so easy to use! There are a number of decorative stitches and a needle threader (very important!!!).
I use a Janome sewing machine and serger and love both. The machines are heavy and offers all the stitches and options I need for making an assortment of items for the home, my daughters and grandchildren… as well as their dolls.
I use a So-Fro machine (made by Brother). The thing I like most about it is I’ve had it for 30+ years and have never had any issues with it. It has some decorative stich options that are really fun to add embellishments to hems. I would like to have one that does embroidery designs too, but just cant justify the expense of one of those since I mainly use my machine for mending and making the granddaughters doll clothes – LOL
I use Pfaff 5.0 sewing machine. The feature I like most is the built in walking foot.
I use a Brother sewing machine… The thing I like most about it is that it is easy to use and it is portable…

I use a Kenmore model # 385.19233. The thing I like most about it is that it was affordable. I am a recreational sewer. I could not justify spending a small fortune on a better machine.
I use a Necchi Lydia 3 for basic sewing. The thing I like most about it is its dependability ( 42 years and counting)! I also use a Singer serger. The thing I like most about it is that it’s sewing arm is the smallest I’ve seen – and so handy for doll clothes!
I use a Bernina 780 and the thing I love about it is the extra large bobbin (especially when doing embroidery.)
I use a Kenmore machine I bought in 1980. The thing I like most about it is that it keeps on going. It does everything I have asked of it over the years, including thick materials, specialty materials, etc. I do have a serger but it is just so complicated. The Kenmore does it all.
I use the Babylock Decorator’s Choice and Elageo Plus and Evolution server. I love my Babylocks because of the special features like needle threader, all the many built in stitches and I never have a problem with the tension. They are very reliable and I have wonderful local support.
I use a Babylock Melody. I don’t really care for it at all.
“I use a Viking Opal. The thing I like most about it is how beautifully it sews. I love all the “bells and whistles”. I just choose the type of material I am working on and it displays the needle size I need, what to set the tension at and even suggests the stitch I should use depending on whether I am sewing a seam, hemming or overcast.
I have been sewing forever! My world changed when I got a serger about 25 years ago. This gives such a wonderful finish to your seams as well as beautiful rolled hems which is a time saver.
Recently I received a Brother S400 sewing/embroidery machine for when I visit our son in Florida. This little machine is a great back up to my Viking and also sews great. Bonus is that it has just the right size to embroider doll clothes.

I would like to add a commercial sewing machine to my list of machines…for some of the larger jobs I do…would love to have a Wellie Wishers Doll to add to my collection…It would be great to have one for a model when I make doll clothes for that size doll, my granddaughters would also love to have it to play with when they come to Grandma’s house…
I have a singer sewing machine, and a Viking S, they both offer me different things. My Singer is basic with different stitches and my Viking was one of the 1st computerized machines, so lots of options for stitches. Both are beautiful machines.

I have (and love) a twenty year old Bernina model 1120 sewing machine. It’s very basic compared to all of the new machines out there.
