Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

My favorite era of clothes is the 40s and 50s. Love the full skirts and flowing fabrics. The classic looks. Would love to see more shirt type tops on full skirts.
Love the patterns I’ve gotten. My granddaughter is old enough she is beginning to help me make them. We are so excited. My favorite era…… maybe the 50’s.
I love the 1950’s clothing, Love simple patterns with minimal pieces that can be interchanged— different collars, sleeves, lengths, etc.
As a Costume Designer, I get repeatedly frustrated with products and patterns that have trimmings and components that are decidedly out of proportion, but I don’t always want to draft my own patterns just for my nieces dolls. I LOVE the attention to detail that I see in the patterns sold here. :)
Patterns from the Middke Ages when woman wore Hennin headdresses. My granddaughter loves her doll to look like a Princess!
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is Modern because I sew for my 7 granddaughters and they love the more Modern outfits, I’d love to see a pattern for more accessory items. If I make a little dress, I don’t have any patterns for any accessories for them. I wish the freebie patterns included a little purse or pair of shoes. :-) One of my granddaughters just loves Pajamas and night clothes for her doll, and another granddaughter just loves party dresses. I would LOVE to win this for my littlest granddaughter who just had a birthday and is now 4 and she doesn’t have an American Girl Doll yet. Would be a marvelous gift for her. Thank you

My favorite era is 18 th century. I’d love a boys outfit, shirt, vest, waistcoat, breeches, shoes, hose , and hat. I know this is a tall order, but there must be a designer out there up to the challenge. As close to period correct as possible, please.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is for Felicity. I love to see any patterns for her. But I like to sew for modern dolls the most and would love to sew for Nanea since I was born in Hawaii but can not afford to purchase her any time soon.
My favourite era was when I was a teenager in the ’60s and ’70s! Bell bottom pants, hip huggers, bell sleeved blouses! The age of Aquarius!!

With 3 granddaughters, and a doll of my own, I am always looking for clothing patterns. An extra doll at my house would be very helpful too. I especially like making clothes for the dolls that match the things I make for the girls. They love having their dolls match them!

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is 1950-60. I’d love to see a pattern for simplicity primer 4630. I have the pattern from my mom, ans am going to make it for myself next. I’d attach a picture, but I’m not sure how on this post. Fold down, piped collar, raglan sleeves, bow tied under bust in front, hip to bust darts, and full skirt.

I love the 50’s fashion dresses but I find current styles are my granddaughter’s choice. So something that looks like the kids are wearing now is what I like seeing.
The doll is beautiful. I make doll clothes to donate to a charity. These would be wonderful for that.
My favorite era of clothing is the 60’s and 70’s when the hot pants and gp-go boots were tge style. I remember my mom having patent leather black, red, white, and orange, plus you had to have a matching purse if you were going out in public.

My favorite era of clothing is from the 1950’s. I was a child in the 50’s and love the sweetness of the clothes. Children were children in the 50’s and not miniature adults. I would like to see a pattern for a 50’s Halloween costume.

My favorite patterns are definitely victorian, however I like to see what is new and unique. I also like patterns that are for Dolly and Me patterns, for little girls they are the best. I am just getting back into Dolls and I have one Doll, but my collection will soon start growing as I look to buy another one very soon!!

While we do have a ton of historical clothing, most often they dress their dolls in regular “street clothes” and pretend the dolls are just another friend involved in the activity.

I’m not really sure what era they began, but my favorites are classic smocked dresses – Bishop style and yoked. I love gathered skirt dresses with Peter Pan collar and a pinafore. Adore beautiful heirloom sewing by machine. Trouble is, these don’t seem to be very popular with my clientele so I don’t get to make them much.

I love historical designs, but I especially love the 1930’s and 1940’s. I love working with fine fabrics and wool. I also knit and crochet and love patterns that include the sweaters, hats, etc. from that time period.

I was born in 1954, but live in the Midwest and was a second girl….so the “fashion” I wore was late in coming to this area, plus it was hand-me-downs….so these eras are the style I remember wearing. Also my mother was very talented and made some of our clothes – and without patterns! I have a couple photos of my mom, my sister, and me in matching outfits that she made. Great memories!! :)
I like clothing from the 60’s. Frilly little girl dresses and play clothes made of coderoy and cotton. Bright primary colors. Flowers and kittens and puppies.

I like sewing modern clothes like a girl would wear today. I would like more beginner or advanced beginner historical patterns. I think if they were not so complicated I would enjoy sewing more of them.
