Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

My favorite era of clothes is the 60’s. The clothes were fun then, I had a paper dress with a really fun print when I grew up in the 60’s !

I love the “girlie” outfits. The doll is gorgious! Would like to make this for my great-grand daughters to show them how girls should dress. But that’s just me.
The 60’s were so wild and free. The clothing was colorful and comfortable.

My favourite era of fashion and clothing is Edwardian; everything was still mostly made by hand and therefore no two garments were ever alike! And polyester had not yet reared its ugly head!! ;-) I would love to see patterns for those gorgeous outrageous hats!!
I love pre civil war era style! I actually make a lot of my own patterns. I plan to work on some super fancy stuff when i have time.
But I mostly work on costume matching competitive cheer uniforms.
I grew up quite poor. We didn’t have things like this. When I finally had my daughter I was so excited to make boutique clothes, bows, and matching doll stuff. She is a super hero and wants to play football hahaha. So we compromise with some glitter superhero stuff. I would really love to get the boy doll and work on some things for her. She has 4 Bitty dolls and we’ve made them all boy clothes. None of them are girls.
Love the clothing from around the turn of the 20th century. Would love to see a pattern for an all white graduation dress from that time.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1940s, I love the romantic look of that era’s clothing – like Bette Davis in Now Voyager. I’d love to see a pattern for the suits & hats they wore with the super padded shoulders and the exaggerated wide-brimmed hats and spectator pumps! I sew doll clothes for my two granddaughters and I love all the patterns if I had to choose a favorite era it would be the 50’s. I adore poodle skirts and black and white oxfords. Would love the doll and patterns for my great granddaughter.
My favorite era is maybe 50’s, I really like all. Main sewing is for granddaughter’s. They have welliewisher and truly me AG. Patterns maybe a cow girl outfit with fringe.

My favorite era of clothing was the Regency period. The time of the War of 1812, of the American Girl Caroline (now in retirement). The clothing was elegant and soft, more so than later in the 19th Century. The undergarments were also soft and delicate and would have been easier on little girls of the age represented by American Girl dolls. Nanea is lovely and I like all of the historical dolls.

Throughout the 1950’s and early 1960’s when our moms would get all dressed up to go shopping are a special period to me. I’m thinking of June Cleaver and Lucy Arnez dresses with fitted bodices and flaring skirts. The pedal pushers and loose slacks that they rolled up at the ankle.

I love the heritage line. Love anything 1800 or before. Plan on making as many of the patterns in my wish list. I just think that they are elegant even the working girl cloths.

I really don’t have a favorite era for clothing, I just like them all. Each is unique in it’s own way and has a little difference in cut. style and accessories. Especially the hats, shoes and jacket differences and a lot of your patterns make those possible. Thank you for that!
