Many of you have large collections of dolls, or sew for someone who does! We'd love to know more about the time period or era your dolls live in. Are they historical, if so from which era? Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

I love any era with long, beautiful dresses, like Audrey Hepburn wore in My Fair Lady, for example. I’d love to see a dress like that. Or Rose’s red dress in Titanic. Those were gorgeous.

My favorite era of clothing is the late 50s-early 60s—when I was a little girl. My mom made most of my clothes with matching outfits for my Chatty Cathy. I would love to see a pattern for the matching dress & coat outfits we wore to church.I felt so special in those!
I make a lot of modern day clothes. My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 70‘s. I’d love to see a pattern for bell bottom pants.

The dresses that represent the Civil War era are my favorites with prom type dresses coming in a close second for dolls like Ellowyne. The 18" dolls seem so much more realistic in dresses an outfits for preteens, especially fancy dresses and skirts and blouses. Love the patterns available on Pixie Faire.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is 1970s. One of the cutest outfits I made was a romper with piping. I also love making matching shoes for the dresses.
I mostly sew for the mini AG dolls, but I have Kirsten, Josefina and Addy. When I sew for my grandsweeties’ 18" dolls, they always want modern clothes. As for which era I would like to see more patterns for, I think I’d have to say Addy’s.
My favorite era of clothing is the late 50’s early 60’s. But I’m also starting to be drawn into the Regency era. My daughter on the other hand is all about modern.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the ’80’s because I was a teenager in the 80’s! I think that the clothing was really cute at that time and not revealing or inappropriate, but fun and colorful. I would love to see a pattern for a sweater that could be monogrammed with embroidery. A small alphabet chart that is doll sized would be so nice, for other clothes too, Easter dresses, purses, oh, we monogrammed everything back then! We all had monogrammed sweaters back then and I loved mine to pieces. Other patterns could be: baggy carpenter pants (works for boy or girl dolls!). Thank you for the chance to win! I love the doll clothes from American Girl Samantha’s era. My husband’s family is from the Adirondack Mts and past generations have built some of the Great Camps.

My favorite era of clothing is 1920’s -1930’s Paris couture. This was a time when even though a war was going on there was much attention to the way one dressed. Fashion was still very much alive. I’d love to see some patterns of this time.

My favorite era to sew for is now but I have purchased many patterns for 40 and 50s era and Edwardian times from PixieFaire because I love them but have not sewn them yet because my capabilities aren’t there. I usually reach for the easier patterns when it comes to actually sewing.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is Boho-Chic. It dates all the way back to mid-late 1900’s but became really popular in 2005 and is still seen today because it is so much fun! I would love to see patterns for more Boho-style fashions for clothing and accessories!
I love any pattern with a challenging cut. Any outfit with tailoring, inserts or unusual shapes are so much fun to create! I enjoy sewing with my granddaughters and seeing the wonderful combinations they come up with for these outfits. Thank you for all that you offer! Lets keep it going!

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 50s because that is when I grew up and became interested in fashion and when I learned to sew. I was introduced to sewing in high school home ec class (which unfortunately they no longer have) and continued under the watchful eye of my wonderful sister in law.

Since I have Kit and Ruthie I am always looking for patterns from the ‘30’s!
I started buying these sweet little dolls for my 7yr old grand-daughter last year. There really isn’t any one era that she likes better than the others, she thinks they’re all beautiful, and wants her MiMi to make everything she sees for her AG dolls. If I had to pick one particular era, it would be the late 1800 to the early 1900’s and would love to see more patterns for this time period.

My favorite era of clothing and fashion is 90’s and I would love to see a pattern for babydolls, anything grunge, chokers, dr. martens, z cavariccis, platform sandals, I could go on and on… I am a child of the 90’s, I loved 90’s fashion. Although I look back at some of it and think “what in the world were we thinking?” I think it would be fun to dress the dolls up in some of my favorite clothing from back in the day!
