Are they modern girls, is so which style do they prefer (boho, rocker, sporty, etc)? We'd love to know! To enter today's giveaway - simply respond to this post and complete this sentence:

My personal favorite era is the 50’s because of the lines in the coats, dresses and petticoats. But if I would want to see something for dolls – a good old fashioned nightgown – like Victorian era or little house on the prairie with a bonnet. That would be fun to sew!
My computer connection was interrupted when I tried to enter the first time, so I am sorry if this is a repeat. I have trouble narrowing down what era I like best as in general I love clothes. I love all the different styles and options, but mainly I look for classic styles with clean lines. What a fun giveaway! Would love to win.

I love my dolls and the clothes I have made for her from patterns you provide. She reminds me of a doll I had as a child, but with 2 other younger sisters, she did not survive! Now I am teaching granddaughters to love her and also to sew. Hugs.

Being a history minor in college, there are many time periods with wonderful fashions. I’ve always been drawn to the Civil War era. I would love to see a satin bridal dress with garlands of tiny rosebuds, off the shoulder bodice and sleeves, and bridal headpiece with a long veil.

I own 12 American Girl dolls, mostly the historical ones, but I do have quite a few modern ones as well. My historicals range from the early 1800’s to the 1960’s, and wear their clothes from their respective periods. The modern girls each have their own styles, ranging from sporty to super girly and a mix of anything in between. I mostly sew for my modern girls, and love the patterns already offered for todays girls. I love the pleated-skirt and turtle neck look, so if I had to choose a pattern it would be of those items.

My favorite era right now is the early Victorian era of the 1830s. The dresses and coats are wonderful, and can be fairly easily reproduced for the 18 inch girls. I’d love to see more historic boy’s patterns.
