My favorite time period in clothing is whatever is current and modest! I love to sew clothes for my daughter’s look alike AG doll and see her excitement to dress her and “share” her world with her. I have no suggestions for new patterns as I am so pleased with the variety you offer.
My favorite fashion period for women was the mid 20’s. The feminist movement and economy created one of the most drastic changes in fashion, from materials used to length of dresses. Fashion history is fascinating.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is 19th century England. I’d love to see a pattern for Pride & Prejudice inspired day dresses!
I love medieval clothing and fairy tale costumes.
My favorite fashion is the 1920s… (this is because you don’t want to hear me go into detail about Dutch-Japanese fashion overlap in the 1660s.)
I love the Montgomery Ward/Sears and Roebuck patterns.
My favorite era of fashion is the 30s and 40s! I adore the style of outfits for Kit and Molly, especially with flower sack materials, and Mary Janes. I would love to see AG come out with an 80’s BeForever doll and have fun with fashions from when I grew up!
My favorite is the Victorian era…Love those clothes. Would like to see a pattern for a classic Victorian dress complete with hoop skirt & parasol. Thanks for the opportunity to win! I sew for pleasure and I have 3 beautiful granddaughters that love the doll clothes Team is makes for them. Made matching Halloween costumes for their dolls one year….had Carol tunnel surgery and you should have seen me sewing with one hand & a large bandaged stub. I was on a deadline. It was hilarious but worth it all when I became EXTREME GRAMIA for getting their costumes finished on time!

My favorite era of clothing is the 1960’s. That’s the time period I was growing up in and everything was changing from very structured to flowing and easy. I’ve been sewing vintage patterns for my Grow-hair Crissy doll and they remind me of how everyone dressed then. I’d love to be able to create similar looks for my 18" My Imagination and Penelope dolls. Bell-bottom jeans, hot pants, halters and peasant tops, and jumpsuits – things that are easy and fun. And if any designers out there are interested in designing for these vintage dolls and making them a modern wardrobe, I’d love that, too. I think Crissy would look adorable in some of today’s fashions!

I love current styles and would love to see more dresses and tops.
I love the 1930s. Even as the world wide depression set in, fashion was emerging from the linear lines of the 1920s and becoming softer and more feminine. Designers such as Vionnet, Channel, Schiaparelli were becoming household names and were definitely part of the Hollywood glamour and glitz that made the depression less harsh. The introduction of man made materials made the new designs more affordable and the increased use of the zipper reduced bulk in clothing. Even children’s clothing became more play friendly with tee shirts and jeans becoming the clothing of middle class school children due to durability. Men’s clothing became more relaxed – the wide lapels and collars narrow through the 30s into the “classic” men’s profile of today -even in the colors and fabric patterns! The echos of 1930s designs for both men and women are every where in the “modern” look. The post-war designers such as Dior continued to build on the “new” look that was rudely interrupted by the austerity of WWII. My mom (who married in 1945) used a piece of sparkly pink wool and rayon she had gotten in Chicago for her “wedding suit” – the fabric purchased before war rationing for a Channel coat. After the war, fashion fabric was still very limited for several years, so mom said she was grateful that a Channel design had prompted her to buy the fabric and matching buttons. I only have the buttons today, but that story was an impetus for my historic interest in fashion. I would love to see some Channel, Vionnet, Schiaparelli, and other designers reflected in doll clothes!!!

“My favorite eras of clothing and fashion are Edwardian, modern and the depression Era. I’d love to see a pattern for a something modern but timeless. Perhaps a look inspired by duchess Catherine’s beautifully tailored coat/dresses.
My favorite era of clothing is the 60’s when I was in my teens and early 20’s. The fabrics had wild patterns and were fun to make. This year I bought a used 18 inch doll, Felicity, for fitting purposes as I sew for my granddaughter’s dolls. I think it would be fun to make some historical outfits for Felicityr once I finish the basic items for my granddaughter and a few girls in my Sunday School class.
