My biggest sewing challenge is knits & wovens, they are a bit intimidating. Love the feel, love the look, but just fear cutting into the gorgeous material & ruining it. Winning would be a dream to sign up for your courses. Good luck everyone & thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
My biggest sewing challenge is organizing my fabric so I can find fabric I know I have, but where in the world is it? I need better ways to store the fabric so I can find it.
Getting started
“My biggest sewing challenge is invisible zippers. They look sloppy when I’m done :(
My biggest sewing challenge is organization. I have to go through bins, and cupboards, drawers and boxes, to find stash I want to use for a project.
hand sewing as i have bad hands and can only do a small amount at a time
My biggest sewing challenge is turning small corners and curves when sewing facings and the like and not catching fabric up in the wrong place.
I so appreciate the information about where to buy all the notions and what is available. I also love the detailed instructions for sewing the doll clothes. Both of these things make this an enjoyable hobby. Next year I want to continue to see new patterns and ideas for doll clothes…your staff think of some of the most creative ideas. Maybe, though you could do a few items where we make an out fit for the doll and one for a granddaughter.
My biggest sewing challenge is that I never seem to have enough TIME
My biggest sewing challenge is patience! I don’t have enough time to see as much as I would like, and my patience seems to leave me when I do have time. Can’t wait to complete a project!
My biggest sewing challenge is time management and finishing! I’m a longarm quilter by trade and work in my home so that always comes first. When I have a little time to sew, I have so many things I want to try! I start one idea and don’t have time to finish and the next time I get a chance I tend to want to start some other item and not go back and finish the UFO’s.

my biggest challenge is finding uninterrupted time to spend in my sewing room
My biggest sewing challenge is making the time to make doll clothes instead of doing all the “busy” work in my sewing room!
My biggest sewing challenge is that I never seem to have enough TIME! I wish I could sew for my income for my family; but it definitely helps me appreciate the time I do get to sew even more!
My biggest sewing challenge is I moved to a smaller home and can’t find anything. Currently spent time searching for my pinking shears, then finally gave up and ordered a new pair- an inexpensive pair until I discover my gingers.

My biggest sewing challenge is probably when what I see in my head and design on paper doesn’t quite turn out in fabric when I put it on the doll. Then I have to adjust, which means my paper design isn’t true to what I made, and therefore not reproducible.
My sewing challenge is finding time……but as for sewing I would say that even though I have some very expensive machines the stitch quality doesn’t match the quality I got from my old Elna Super. This makes me feel that my items could look better.
My biggest sewing challenge right now is probably keeping complicated patterns straight
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing what I start- I have so many things cut out and halfway sewn!
Threading needles and telling inside v outside of material
My biggest sewing challenge is my eyes are not as good as they once were so I find it a bit difficult to do fine details on things I sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is cleaning up my work area as I go. When I finish a project I’m excited to start the next one and very soon I’m working in so much clutter I have to stop and get organized before I can continue.
My biggest challenge is space. I have to work on my office desk in front of my computer so I don’t have a lot of room to spread out and I always have to move my sewing machine up and down off of the desk.
My biggest sewing challenge is not knowing when to stop. Time flies when I am in my sewing room and working on a doll dress. I have such satisfaction when the dress is completed and dressed on a doll.
My biggest sewing challenge is to ‘learn’ my new machine. I haven’t got it out of zigzag yest and sewed masks by hand. But I like to sew by hand and make many doll clothes’ that way.

My biggest sewing challenge is taking the time to actually finish a project.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting my finished product to the next level with the “Wow” factor.
My biggest challenge is prioritizing sewing in my busy life. I always feel a little guilty when I do and that I somehow need to rationalize it.
Biggest challenge – putting away all the fabrics and notions after I’ve chosen from a stack of possibilities.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time and energy and space to do it.
My biggest sewing challenge is making a narrow hem on a curved piece.
My biggest sewing challenge is being motivated to finish my old projects. :)
My biggest challenge is telling friends and family “no” so I can work on my own doll’s clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting started!
My bigest challenge is actually finding time to sew and doing it.
My biggest sewing challenge is matching the fabric colours and prints to the pattern I want use.
My biggest sewing challenge is making matching shoes for each outfit. The twins really love them.
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding which of all the yummy patterns to work on next.
“My biggest sewing challenge is _sewing on knits.
My biggest sewing challenge is… not being confident.
Having the time to sew!
Marilyn
My biggest sewing challenge is finding scale for dolls fabric in knits.
My biggest sewing challenge is organizing my supplies
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to sew everything that I want to make.
My biggest challenge is changing thread colors and threading my machine needle.
My biggest sewing challenge is taking the time to actually sew, and not just think about it!
my biggest sewing challenge is to get organized.
My biggest challenge is walking away from my machine at the end of the day!
My biggest sewing challenge is starting doll clothes. I want to sew multiples of the same pattern so I have one for my g’daughter’s doll, my doll, and the third for donation. I don’t like printing and cutting out the patterns to sew only once. I plan to try using a projector to speed up cutting and sew more productively.
My biggest sewing challenge is stopping at one item….I have a’ need for more’ issue…. " I must sew multiples or it’s a waste of time" …please help!!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing on velcro fastener.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to sew as much as I’d like too!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew, and also starting a project and then stopping mid project… I’m all in or all out :)
My biggest sewing challenge is finding fabrics, be it knit or woven that are doll size scale. You can’t put the same size print on an 8” doll as you can an 18” one. I do buy thrift store clothes but you have to be careful with stains and aging fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping my pattern organized, especially after I’ve cut out some but not all the pieces!
My biggest sewing challenge is choosing fabric from my stash, I takes me longer to pick out the fabric from my huge stash than it does to cut and sew!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the fabrics and notions I want. The stores just don’t have much to choose from and online you don’t know what you are getting.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to really sit and sew without being pulled in multiple directions. Soon I’ll be able to get myself into a better routine hopefully and be able to devote time to sewing.
My biggest sewing challenge is making a dress as a beginner
My biggest challenge is putting in zippers. Not sure why I struggle so much but I do.
My biggest sewing challenge is starting. I have fear of failure as I am a perfectionist. I feel like everything has to be in order which gives me excuses to drag my feet.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing neatly by hand.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to make everything I want to make and staying organized at the same time.
My biggest challenge is finding the time to sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding appropriate material of good quality at a reasonalbe price.
My biggest challenge currently is figuring out the details of my vintage machine – keeping the tension correct is what I’m working on. I love the sturdiness (and the memories) of this machine though, so it’s worth it! Aside from that, finding time to sew all I want to is my next biggest challenge. I have so many patterns in my queue and not enough time to work on them all.
The video had a new method to me for sewing on a snap. Haven’t tried that yet, so Thank You!
My biggest sewing challenge is getting older and not seeing small things as well as I once did. Do not take your youth for granted. If there is something you want to create that takes a lot of focus DO IT NOW!
Like Sara F. and Many others, I love the creativity of starting projects, my biggest challenge is finishing them. I joined 2 groups for accountability to finish at least 12 WIPs this year!
my bigest challenge is making button holes on the coats and jackets.
I can’t get motivated!
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing a project and not already thinking about the next one.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting started. I get excited about the pattern, find the right fabrics and notions and then freeze. I guess it’s self-doubt. I am afraid I’ll mess it up!
My biggest sewing challenge has to be how to organize all the fabric, thread, elastic, velcro, lining fabric, trims, zippers, buttons, interfacing, etc. When I get set to sew, all the organizers come out, and everything gets all muddled up again. Back when I had a whole room just for sewing, the same thing happened, so it’s clearly a challenge I have not yet resolved in all these years of sewing!!
My biggest sewing challenge is maintaining any kind of organization. I usually end up having layers of project detritus and fabric with my tools and pattern pieces buried somewhere inside.
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping the thread on my bobbins. I walk by and the thread gets caught on my pants and it unrolls and follows me out the door.
My biggest sewing challenge is Space to cut out my fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing knits. Just can’t get a seam that isn’t stretched out!
My biggest sewing challenge is buttonholes. They are one of the very last things on an outfit and it they don’t go well, the whole outfit is ruined. It makes me scared to do them, but I think they make the outfit look most professional!
I haven’t tried the technique for sewing a button and snap in the same place, but I love your technique and will try it on my next project. Thanks for the lesson.
My biggest challenge is setting aside time for sewing during the week when there are other items in the home that need to be managed as well.
My biggest sewing challenge is non bulky closings
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time and getting started.
My biggest sewing challenge right now is tiny little eyelets. Just can’t get those little things to wok right!
my biggest challenge is procrastinating. I love sewing, why don’t I sit down and do it?!
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping my sewing space neat and tidy. I get so excited that I just set things aside instead of putting them away where they belong. I am currently trying to dig myself out of my Christmas sewing projects.
My biggest challenge is keeping my sewing room organized
My biggest sewing challenge is actually doing it. I am a huge procrastinator and never get the things I have planned even started let alone finished.
My biggest sewing challenge is that I like to work on multiple different projects at once but I don’t have the best focus to finish them once they are started.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do it. Silly job gets in the way. But my goal is to do it in 2023.
My biggest sewing challenge is TOO MANY IDEAS! I will never, ever get them all sewn up. My 2023 resolution is to do a doll project per month to at least bring some of those ideas into reality!
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing projects. I get outfits finished enough to photograph but procrastinate putting on the closures.
My Biggest sewing challenge is sewing with very slick fabric. It always seams to move way too much. After watching the videos on how to do this Z I should be able to accomplish the task.Thank you Cinnamon for the awesome giveaways.❤️🎄
My biggest sewing challenge is hand sewing. I haven’t done it as much, and I wish my stitches were much more even.
