Hi Everyone!
This week we wrap up 2020 and move on to 2021 - Can you believe it? It's the 5th Tuesday of the month (which means no new content posted) which is the perfect opportunity to share with you our plans for 2021.
This is a general calendar of the topics we have planned. Shari, Donna, and I have been brainstorming ideas and have plotted out a full year's schedule. We may move things around depending on schedules and content creation, but for the most part, this is what we have planned for the coming year - yay!
We hope this gives you something to look forward to and plan around! If you really want to see us focus on something not mentioned above, feel free to leave some suggestions in the comments below. We may be able to work things in here and there as we fill out each monthly topic!
Thanks, everyone! This community is amazing because of all the amazing people like you that are here!
Cinnamon & The Team Pixie Faire
Looks great. How about a knit along for December, or earlier :)
Cinnamon, do you know when another Pattern Academy course will be offered?
I don’t know what smocking is so excited to learn. I also enjoy the sew along classes and would like to see another class about shoes, boots, sandals etc..
Where’s the Outback theme? Kira Bailey debuted today!!!
I am so excited! What a fun schedule. I am also very excited about the embroidery class. I have had an embroidery machine for over a year but have not yet used it. An I’m excited to learn about appliqué and smocking, and summer camp, etc. I love this group!! I would love to see the “summer” classes (camp and hats) moved to an earlier month (maybe June & July), so we have time to make the summer items during the summer (maybe do the stripes in August), but however you decide is great. :)
I used to do a lot of smocking for children and dolls. I did bishop dresses and detachable collars. I even have a pleater. But I haven’t done this in quite a while so this will be a good refresher course.
This looks fun! I would love to see the raincoat one get moved to March or April for Spring rains. :-)
I’m so excited! I have a goal for this next year, since my time is limited so I plan to make 1 outfit a week…Sunday-plan the outfit (cut all aspects of the entire outfit)…Monday-make the main outfit (dress/pants/skirt/blouse/or shirt…Tuesday-under garments(slip & panties)…Wednesday-Outer ware (coats, sweater, hoodies, etc)…Thursday-foot cover (socks/tights)…Friday-Footware (shoes, sandals, slippers.boots)…Saturday-Photoshoot (including uploading). The first week theme-Winter; 2nd wk- Spring 3rd wk- Summer, 4th wk- Fall 5th wk- accessories (hats, purses, bags, etc).
so looking forward to this coming year!
This looks like a fun year. I’m so glad I joined this year.
I would also learn to smock…my mother smocked me dresses when I was young and I always wanted to learn but she passed away before we got around to it. I hope it happens too!
Super excited for Januarys topic. As a momma of 12 I get all giddy over containment. LOL
This year is going to be a be my year to work on my dolls even with my sewing room torn up!!! I may have to buy a few pieces of fabric (since nearly all my fabric is wrapped in bolts but packed in plastic containers awaiting my new cabinet installations! But wil this calendar for the year I SHOULD be able to plan ahead, ha! Ha! Looks like a great program! Thanks!!!

Oh my goodness!! I am excited about the smocking and embroidery. I have a machine but really don’t understand how to use it and place where I want the embroidery. The tiny gifts is my second fav and it’s all the way at the bottom! LOL Looks like a fun year.
I LOVE the themes for next year, specially the smocking for April…. hope is goes through, will be nice to have it so we can do it for doll size patterns. Raglan sleeves also will be a hit. Will learn from the pros how to do it!
Look forward to January projects and really excited to make a cute Valentine party dress!
I’m so glad to see smocking listed. It would be so nice to have classes on how to size and use smocking for doll dresses.
Looking forward to next year. I’m especially excited about new LJC patterns!
Smocking! so delightful. A few minutes ago I was looking at some sewing patterns for 18" dolls elsewhere and thought “How awful, what a waste of time and fabric.” Now I’m imagining beautiful “scale” smocking and hoping there will be such real projects in 2021.
I am excited for the new year and the wonderful things that we will be working on. I ususally make 4 of what ever we are working on because I have friends daughters that have dolls so if I am doing 1 I might as well be doing 4.

Thank you for the preview of the coming year. Very excited about the smocking tutorial. I also enjoyed the millinery classes last year and looking forward to this new one.
