"I am a mother of 3 living in South Africa, 2 boys and a girl. I come from a sewing family and started at a very young age. I remember sitting with my mom and cutting out her patterns for her while she sewed the most beautiful wedding dresses. My favourite baby doll clothes I own were made by my gran... she added the most beautiful detail with lace and bullion roses to every item she made. My mom and I still work together as digitizers for embroidery machine designs.
I fell in love with American Girl while travelling in the United States and couldn't wait to start sewing for her. When my daughter was born the fun began! I published my first pattern in June 2011 at PixieFaire and the journey has been a blessing in so many ways! I love being able to create for the dolls and then share it with others to enjoy. With every pattern I have grown and learnt a little bit more.
With my patterns I like to create costumes for dress up as well as Around the World traditional designs. I work at simplifying difficult human designs into smaller doll scale sewing projects that are easier to create but still have an authentic look.
I believe that every girl should have a doll of her own that she can love and dress as often as she pleases. This is a girl's dream world. Letting Girls be Girls."
We'd love to hear from you. Leave a comment and tell us which Doll Tag Clothing pattern design you love most!
Thanks, everyone!

I got hooked. Lisa is a lady with a very big heart, and we both is from South Africa. She helped where she can,. Her patterns are adorable and easy to follow. I just LOVE them

This may be the most difficult comment question ever!. As a designer myself, I am truly in love with ALL of Liese’s creations. I have written her several times to tell her how much I love her work. When I sketch a new design I check to see if Liese has a similar one because I refuse to re-invent the wheel especially when there is one a lovely as hers. I too love designing traditional garments from other lands and she has inspired me to continue that work. Thank you for your inspiration and dedication to your craft. Your talent is unmatched. I enjoy all of your patterns and own most of them.
