or fill in the blank "My biggest sewing challenge is______"
Hello,
My biggest challenge would be to learn to sew for dolls. I’m a sewing beginner but I’m willing to take a course.
My dream is to one day get an American Girl doll and sew her a whole trousseau.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE SOME EASY CROCHETING PATTERNS AND A HOW TO VIDO. I DONT KNIT AND A LOT OF THE PATTERNS ARE KNITTED, MY DOLLS NEED SOME SWEATERS.. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING SOME CROCHETING PATTERNS.
I would like to see anyone, I am a beginner
I would love to see more historical videos. I have also really enjoyed the shoe ones and different styles would be great to see.
My biggest sewing challenge is simply finding the time to make all the beautiful doll clothes and accessories.
I would love to see a course on crocheting doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is actually finishing projects I start!
zippers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is hemming.
My biggest challenge buttonholes.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting my sewing space organized. I need to organize it in short periods of time, due to several health challenges. It’s hard to know where to start, when I’m only able to work on it for 20-30 minutes at a time.
I find it very difficult to find tiny plaids. I wore and my daughter wore little plaid dresses to elementary school, especially in the fall. But so many plaids are way too big for dolls.
I’m very interested in the opportunity to learn about sewing fabrics cut on the bias – loved Ossie Clark’s clothing when I lived in London, and believe it would suit the slim 18 inch dolls beautifully.
Most of the things that hinder me, have been voiced in previous comments! I look forward to having guidance and commeratery to encourage all of us!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to do it without being interrupted by my five kids!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to make everything I want to get done.
I’m so excited to see the new one yard cuts!
My biggest sewing challenge is being able to organize all my equipent in a small space so that it is accessible yet not in my way while sewing.
Corners! I have so much trouble getting corners neat and even, particularly with thicker material!
My biggest challenge is finding the time to do it!
My biggest challenge is buttonholes and zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is trying to get over the fear of the button hole foot and learn to create button holes
Getting a place to sew and leave it out and available to work on.
my biggest challenge is my health at the moment. I need to do hand sewing while reclining in bed. no sitting at my sewing machine,
My biggest sewing challenge is transferring the markings from the pattern onto the fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is learning to knit so I could try all the awesome knitting patterns.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time!!
My biggest challenge is being scared I’ll really mess up the fabric when putting the pieces together. I constantly second guess what needs to be done.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing project A before getting excited and starting project B. There are too many great patterns that need sewing.
Great to have a sweeps after Christmas
My biggest sewing challenge is matching plaids.
My biggest sewing challenge is figuring out what pattern to get as there are so many AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, WELL DETAILED patterns on pixiefaire. I mean seriously! Absolutely LOVE Pixiefaire. Ever since I found this website, I shop there exclusively. I do a lot of doll clothes for 18 inch dolls fir kids that are going through hard times like children going through severe debilitating health issues or the family has had a fire, or other hardship issues. I feel God put us all here to help each other & if I can put a smile on someone’s heart for a brief moment in time, then I feel it’s worth the time to make these beautiful doll clothes.
My biggest challenge is finding or making time to sew my projects. Happy New Year to ALL.
My biggest sewing challenge is making time to sew, then doing it. I would love to find some more easy Barbie doll patterns to sew, though I really love sewing for the 18 inch dolls
My biggest challenge is finishing
My biggest sewing challenge is making corners of any that needs to be square even. To my eye they never look the same.
My biggest challenge is finding enough great fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is organization – I get the fabric cut and then it just waits forever to be completed.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing knit fabrics – they always seem to bunch up when sewing them.
My biggest sewing challenge is not having someplace where I can leave my sewing machine set up.
My biggest sewing challenge is being organized
My biggest sewing challenge is not having a dedicated sewing area, having to use the dining table leads to procrastination!
I’d love to see more designs for Barbie and Ken dolls. The clothing sold for them in stores is appalling. I taught myself to sew on Barbie clothes when I was first out of high school.
My biggest sewing challenge is paring down the list of projects I want to do!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to make all of the ideas I have floating around in my head!
My biggest sewing challenge is my declining eyesight as I age. Video tips about possible tools and solutions would be welcome.
I would love a sew along for one of the fancy dresses with speciality fabric. Something like a prom dress
Love all the pixie Faire patterns.
My biggest sewing challenge is putting the time aside to start a project and then more time to make sure I finish it!
My biggest sewing challenge is getting all the supplies for an outfit especially when I want it to look like the picture on the pattern.
The big bundle giveaway would be just great because it includes everything you would need to jump right into your project. One of my biggest challenges is time to coordinate the material with the embellishments and supplies needed.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing!! I can get started but never seem to finish ugh!
If there is not one, I’d like to see a video re: rescaling embroidery/applique patterns to make them doll sized.
My biggest sewing challenge is time….time in general, time to go thru & pick an awesum pattern, time to find or locate the right fabric & accessories, time for all the possibilities.
Like “Carol” who posted earlier, I prefer to upcycle. I have made the denim jacket and I used some pieces from a child’s skirt that had little embroidered detail, I cut the yoke pieces for the jacket from the embroidered areas of the skirt and, voila, my jacket has a pretty little embroidered design on the yoke. It turned out really cute.
My biggest challenge is learning to knit so I can utilize the knit patterns.
My biggest challenge is sewing fabric that ravels.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding fabric with the appropriate sized prints for the doll. Most prints are so large they would look ridiculous.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding fabric with the appropriate sized prints for the doll. Most prints are so large they would look ridiculous.
My biggest sewing challenge is choosing fabric for a project. I often choose too thick of material for my doll outfit and struggle with bulkiness in seams and the over-all look of the outfit.
Living in MT I feel like I have limited access to fabrics and trim, cute buttons and fasteners…I would love to see an updated list of internet sources with some reviews
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping my craft room organised so that I don’t feel overwhelmed.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to do it! Also, too much “planning” and not enough just “starting” to actually sew!
My biggest sewing challenge is organization
Marion C
My biggest challenge is spending enough time on a project to complete it the way I want it to.
My biggest sewing challenge is not always reading the instructions closely, especially when working on a tricky part. Needless to say, my seam ripper and I are the best of friends.
I have it cut out and ready to make. I am not sure if my machine will do the buttonholes. I’ll have to test that on some scraps.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time and choosing the project from all the great patterns.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting me to READ instructions twice before getting to sew!

I struggle with time and motivation. I’m overwhelmed with the number of patterns I’ve downloaded. Also, I’m quilter with a backlog of projects.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew!
My biggest challenge is selecting the right weight of fabric for tailored doll clothes, especially Barbie & Ken clothes.
Sorry I did’t see the challenge comment. My biggest challenge is finding enough time to do the sewing I want to do.
I am looking forward for the 2024 Online topics that will be presented. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year
biggest challenge is finding time,
My biggest sewing challenge is having arthritis and a tremor.
I appreciate all the historical costume patterns, especially the 18th century ones.
My biggest sewing challenge is arthritis. :-(
I have sewn the denim jacket , it turned quite nice. I am hoping to make the boy size one next
I have not attempted the denim jacket. I did make a little denim jumper for an 18" doll a long time ago. I was going to make two and never did finish the 2nd one. Sewing through denim at such a small scale was very challenging.
Watched the denim jacket video. I haven’t made one though I want to. And jeans. Dolls need clothes they can move around in here at Camp Runamuck.
Love to sew doll clothes but have trouble finding time to do it. Also have trouble deciding what pattern to use for my pretty fabrics. Love to sew almost anything. I will try most any doll patterns except for Barbie size clothes.
I cant wait to get back to sewing again.
I’d like to see a steampunk themed sew along, with tricks for corset making.
My biggest challenge is finding TIME to sew – I’ve been a Sewing with Cinnamon member since it’s inception!
My biggest challenge is organizing my time to allow more sewing.
