My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time. I am trying to retire but still working and caring for grandchildren
Since making sewing and needlework projects for my granddaughters is one of my favorite hobbies, my biggest sewing, knitting, or crocheting challenge is finding the right pattern and/or fabric that would excite them the most. I find if I include them in the decision-making, they love the finished project even more!
My biggest challenge is finding the time!!!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is finding the time now that I’m RETIRED and have a lot of time! Yes, you read that right. When I worked I could get everything done with plenty of time for “sewing, knitting, or crochet,” and keep the house spotless, etc., with time to even be bored. But ever since I’ve retired, I can’t get anything done, the day goes by in lightning speeding – I don’t even have a chance to enjoy it. So do the weeks, it seem like everyday when I wake up, I’m saying to my husband, “How can it be Friday again, it seems like everyday it’s Friday, did they stop making weeks?” Does anyone else who is retired have this problem, I hope it’s just temporary, before my house gets any worse and I forget how to do my hobbies which I use to excel in (if I do say myself). Good Luck to everyone on winning the contest and lets not forget to thank Cinnamon Miles and her Friends for her endless generosity for her – freebies, contests, and most of all her Charity Work and Contributions, if you are unaware of all or any of these things that she does (which I’m sure there are way more and this doesn’t mention any of the classes, resources, the list goes on) then I just want to let you know how dedicated and truly devoted to not only her company and her fans, like us, but she is a true humanitarian. Warmly, Elizabeth M. Baker OLeary

Learn how to use all the switches options of my machine. For now I am sticking with zig zag and straight ones!
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is trying to find the time to actually knit sew or crochet.
My biggest challenge is not knowing how to knit or crochet.. and sewing machines don’t seem to like me so I do all my sewing literally by hand, so it always takes extra time. The challenge is finding time when projects seem to go on for soooo long. On the other hand, this contest has a delightful prize. My late mother used to make quilts and that one reminds me of her. Makes me wish I’d asked her for a doll quilt ‘back then’.
Since even though I took Crochet and Knitting Classes and still can’t do either, I’d say my biggest sewing challenge is just budgeting for the supplies needed. Always seems when I have the money to get what I need for a sewing project another unexpected medical bill or home repair bill ends up having to take priority. That’s why we often upcycle cloth around here. If something becomes too small for someone to wear, or a part of a shirt or jeans is too worn for the article of clothing to be worn again, we cut out the parts that are still good and upcycle them into something else, like doll clothes or quilted items.
My biggest knitting challenge is getting clear instructions. I am a beginner but have found I can knit most anything if I can have both written instructions and a chart. I really like having good photos of the work laid out. A nice finished photo is good for a cover photo but doesn’t usually help me when I am trying to work out if I am knitting it as the designer intended. So flat photos of the piece really helps. So in short my biggest knitting challenge is getting clear instructions.
My biggest sewing, knitting, or crochet challenge is getting started.

My biggest sewing challenge is keeping up with my daughter’s Wellie Wisher and Bitty Baby wardrobe requests, plus learning how to sew very tiny sleeves on the doll clothes.

My biggest sewing challenge is that we downsized and moved into a seniors apartment and I have no room for my large volume of fabric from the other place, and no room to set up my sewing table and cutting out table. It is not fun to keep dragging stuff back and forth from the room to the daily table. I am so frustrated!! But will not give up my making doll clothes!! Lol

While the “outhouse”/“chamber pot”/“union suit” challenges I mentioned in the earlier comment weren’t what you had in mind, still . . . . To more “appropriately” answer the required comment: my biggest challenge is getting my family to understand that, although I am a good seamstress, doing a good job on anything requires focus and time. Why do so many people think projects can be done in the snap of a finger ? !!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is making myself do the finishing closure before I move on to the next item.
My biggest sewing challenge is, starting several patterns at once, and not accomplishing all of them. (at least not until a year later.)
When I see “union suits” I always wonder about the challenges of running out to the “moon house”/“outhouse” in the middle of winter or managing those “union suits” while using a “chamber pot”! Cute on a doll; but how were they ever practical?!!!!!
Love this patterns its so special for my grandchildren.
