My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the fifties. However, that era is well covered by pattern makers. What I’d love to see a pattern for is some authentic eighties fashions as that is the era I grew up in and it would be fun to share those fashions with my girls.
I don’t have a real preference for any specific era of fashion – seems like a Tera has something g that I just love about it! I have recently introduced my grandkids to American Girl dolls and their on-going requests are for doll costumes to match their dress up clothes… Christmas included a few Disney princess dresses and Star Wars clothes…

My favorite eras is now modern times I love all the patterns choises
My favorite era to sew for is for my Samantha doll, Victorian and Edwardian. I love looking for the right kind of fabric and sewing the fancy little dresses then putting it on Samantha and putting a huge bow in her hair.
My favorite era of clothing is the 1940’s. The look was very sophisticated even for little girls. The quality of the fabrics were outstanding. We had pure wool, silks and cotton. It wasn’t polyester and other blends that we have nowadays. The styles were very original.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the Victorian Era. I love the elaborate designs and attention to detail. The hats were exquisite, and now such a lost art. I would like to see one of my patterns from the Victorian Era come to life this year on Pixie Faire. Happy New Year!
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is… Victorian but I’d love to see a pattern for a ski suit or snow suit for the 18 inch dolls
I like the 50’s style when women worn dresses and aprons. But sewing for little girls now, they like what is currently in fashion for them so they can match their dolls.

My granddaughters have Kit and Rebecca and I have many dolls from lots of different eras. I love styles from the thirties and forties.
One of my favorite eras of clothing would be the 40’s. I think the clothing had more character and details back then. I would like to see a pattern for a girls coat and bonnet from that era, like the matching one my Grandmother made for me and my Patsy doll.
Roaring 20s is my favorite era for fashion. the clothes were stylish and functional. Hemline changed almost over night from mid-calf to just below the knee. Hemlines came up and waistline went down. Floral prints were the rage, in soft pastel colors. The material, beads and accessories were elegant and expensive. This was the era when art deco fashion hit the country, some of the most beautiful evening gowns were designed
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is Victorian followed closely by the 20’s
I love the 1940’s and 1950’s era clothes. I especially like the muu muu outfit look of the new Nanea doll.
I love the fashions of the nineteenth century, especially the Regency period. I would like to see patterns for children’s clothing for various eras in keeping with the features and body contours of the AG dolls. What did kids wear to school, for play, for formal occasions like church, visiting, etc.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1950’s. I’d love to see a pattern for a poodle skirt outfit, including a sweater. I loved the stories my Mom told me about car hopping and her favorite poodle skirt outfit.
I like all periods. I like the opportunity to learn about the uniqueness of each era. I like to see era clothing that is age appropriate to the dolls. Clothing that represents day to day dress across the economic scale.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is… the 1930’s. I’d love to see a pattern for the lovely tailored dresses and hats. I would like to dress 18 inch (and other sized dolls such as Madame Alexander’s Cissy dolls) to look like Nancy Drew on the covers of the 1930’s books.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is now. I’d love to see a pattern for more workout wear and sports apparel. Ski parkas, windbreakers, jogging shorts, and boy clothes.

“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is Regency Period. but I also like Colonial too. Actually, I am blown away by the vast spectrum of clothing periods that Pixie Faire designers cover, so much so that I can’t think of anything to fill in this blank. It was the pattern makers that pushed me into collecting American Girl dolls. I doubt that I could make all the patterns that I own in two lifetimes.
These dolls have given my daughter something to occupy her time with. She does filming virtual youtube tutorials for AG and other 18" dolls as well as sews her own clothing for them. What a great way to grow up!

I like styles from many eras, including 1920s and post WWII. I would like to see some patterns for costumes from the Star Wars movies such as worn by Rey, Jyn Erso, Leia, Padme, Amidala, etc.
My favorite era of fashion and clothing is from the 70’s when I was in college. I loved the mini skirts, bell bottoms, low cut jeans, bell sleeves, and paisley prints. I would like to see a pattern for the 70’s bell bottom pants.
I love all the comments, especially those on the 50’s and 60’s, all of us baby boomers!! I too, love that era although I do sew contemporary for my dolls as well.I would like to see a pattern for a circle skirt dress, I remember having two, a blue and red checked dress. The most intriguing thing about them was they had a blow up in the hem so I could inflate it and make it really circular! Not too practical but super fun! Thank you so much for this opportunity to win Nanea, she is on my wish list.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 50’s and 70’s. However, I’d love to see patterns for today’s fashions because the little girl I would like to make doll clothing for is not into the older fashions, which is totally understandable.
“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the Roaring 20’s! I’d love to see a pattern for flapper outfits!
“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is from the 1800s because of my grandma memories and how she would dress when she would cook, clean, each time she would change what she was wearing to match what she was doing. LOL I thought she was the best ever. A Victorian ( Zouave) pattern to make for all my 18 inch dolls.
My dolls are all over the place – an original Samantha (my daughter let’s me dress her up now) Maryellen from the 50’s, Kit, Logan and a Truly Me AG. Love the forties themed attire, fun retro with a current feel.
I love the 1800 era. I would like to see either an Indian dress or a ballroom gown from this era.
My favorite era of clothing is modern. I like what is in fashion now.
My favorite era is the 1880’s and the Laura Ingels peroid. I love how the dresses were so full and pretty. Granted they take more fabrics to make but are so much fun!!!
I love making your clothes, I have 2 granddaughters, 2 great nieces and a great granddaughter that I make your doll clothes for. They all love getting special made clothes for their dolls from me.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is from about 1945 to 1960 – so many different looks and styles, but all so pretty! I’d love to see a pattern for an apron for the time period, probably with a turban(?) for hair as well (can’t have your hair in your face while you’re getting things in and out of an oven, eh?).

Hi! What a great giveaway! My favorite eras are the 1940s and 1950s and I love seeing patterns for dresses with full flair skirts! Happy holidays everyone! Jenni Rose
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 40s. I would love to see a pattern for a WW II nurse.
Love these dolls and your clothing designs !
Boy, it’s hard to choose! I enjoy making doll outfits from all the time periods up to the modern day, including outfits from stories and legends. :) But I would love to see patterns for more historical fashions for boy dolls; maybe it would convince me to get a boy doll and sew for him! :)
“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is Victorian, however, I’d love to see a pattern for “my doll and me matching outfits” . My granddaughter is so into dressing her doll and wants matching outfits. Especially this year since she received her official American Girl Doll for Christmas.
I love the 50’s! That’s when I was born!!!
My favorite era of fashion is the 1950’s, perhaps because I was a little girl then. Although I really enjoy something out of all the eras, and make doll clothes from all the eras. I would like to see more patterns for the underclothing and sleepwear from the 50’s, as well as other eras. Thank you so much for your generosity.
I love fashion from the Tudor’s to now, skipping the 80’s!
This is one of the most difficult questions for me to answer. The 40’s, 50’s and 60’s had such cute clothes for little girls. However, I like the simplicity of the colonial clothes and the eloquence of the mid 1800’s.
I’d like to see clothing from the Civil War era. My granddaughter and I have some paper dolls from this period and it would be fun to have clothes to dress her doll in from this era.

I like all different eras of clothing. Sometimes 70’s clothes works and then 20’s. Just like a persons wardrobe a dolls wardrobe should have classics and fads from all eras.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1950s. I’d love to see a pattern for a Balenciaga dress!
My favorite era of fashion is the1950’s and 1960’s. That was the time I grew up. I would like to see a pattern for GoGo Boots and a dress to go with it and maybe a handbag. Thank you for these wonderful giveaways.
My favourite era of clothing fashion is Victorian from the 1800’s. The dresses can be simple or with beautiful fixed or detachable collars. Would like to see more patterns that can have other pattern pieces that can be detached to make the outfit different. Possible day wear then changed to evening wear.
My favorite era of fashion is the 1950 and 60s. I like the evening fashions with the formal fitted looks. My girls love the modern look of today with funky fashions. They love to dress their girls in skirts and boots incorporating the boot styles of the 60a and 70s. I would love to see an updated evening dress of the 60s with today’s look and patterns for go-go boots.
My favorite era of clothing is the Edwardian era… ie Downton Abbey! ❤️ I’d love to see a pattern for a white batiste cotton lawn dress and hat. ❤️
My favorite Era of fashion is contemporary with some high fashion thrown in. I’d like to see a pattern for tunic tops suitable for jeggings and tall boots.
My favorite period is Tudor because I’m a history buff but I love all the historical outfits as well as the modern ‘history’. What I would love to see is a First Communion dress and veil that is not a bridal gown. Everyone I have seen is really a bride not made to be an 8 year old child making her First Communion with the white anklets and black patent leather maryjanes. I can make the jewelry (gold cross and rosery) but the dress needs help!
Loved the dresses of the 60s. The beautiful princesses, empire and drop waist lines of dresses. The “shirtmaker” dress was worn grocery shopping as an everyday dress. Garments were made out of quality fabrics – Moygashel linen, silk, and polished cotton. Young children had dresses made out of Swiss polka-dot and batiste. Sailor collars were still in style.
Also love the roaring 20s. The extreme clothing is worn by Phryne in the Miss Fishers Mysteries. A must is to include her hats! If you have not seen this TV program, check it for the clothes alone.

“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is… the fifties and sixties. I’d love to see a pattern for a pleated skirt with a suitable blouse that could be worn with penny loafters.

My favorite era of clothing is present day. I’d love to see patterns for winter clothes for boy dolls.
My favorite era of clothing is medieval and I’d love to see more patterns for fancy, intricate dresses with a medieval or fantasy feel, things you’d see at a Ren Faire but not necessarily historically accurate.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1940’s. I’d love to see a pattern for a ’40’s ladies suit and hat.
My favorite era is historical or fantasy. I would love to see ball gown patterns with lots and lots of layers to make the gowns full and gorgeous
My favorite era of clothing is modern. I like what is in fashion now. Thanks for the great giveaways and contests, they are so much fun.
My favorite era of clothing and fashion is… the 1950’s I’d love to see a pattern for for a coat with leggings for the winter. I grew up during this time period and I have several pictures of my cousin and me dressed up in our dressy coats with matching leggings at Christmas time. I would love to be able reproduce this look with two of my American Girl dolls. It would be nice if the pattern included a hat that tied under the chin and the coat had a fur collar.
“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is…the modern time, because thats what my daughter would love & identify with. Although I love the options of adding to the mix with other eras & cultures. I’d love to see a pattern for accessories, especially undergarments, socks & shoes, hats, etc. all that said & i know my daughter would also be obsessed with her 18" girl in a wedding dress & stuff like that.
“My favorite era of clothing and fashion is the 1800’s and early 1900. The clothing was so elegant at that period in time…lots of lace, ruffles and tucks. So beautiful and classic.
I’m interested in early 20th Century fashion—not the stereotypical frilly Victoriana that’s romanticized from that era, but the more everyday clothes that would have been worn by people outside the elite. I’d particularly like to see more boy’s clothes from that era, like some version of the sailor suit that reoccurs so often in pictures form that era. Thanks!
