Two cultural traditions that I greatly enjoy can be traced to my maternal grandfather and great-grandmother. She passed on her love of singing Irish songs and her great scone recipes. I love to sing Irish ditties, with an accent of course, every day, (because they don’t sound nearly as great without the accent); and I make lots of varieties of scones. We eat scones at least once or twice a month and give them as gifts on a regular basis. My daughter doesn’t sing; but she shares her own scone magic with friends and co-workers too. My family also tried to pass on the ability to clog, as they were both fantastic Irish dancers too; but sadly, the clogging gene passed me by. I do, however, love watching Celtic dancing and singing on TV whenever the opportunity presents itself. Everything Irish reminds me of my dear grandfather and great-grandmother, and it makes me smile. Your Celtic outfits are simply adorable. They remind me of awesome days as a child watching my grandpa and his mom dancing with pure joy and great enthusiasm. So much laughter, love, and happy memories. I can almost hear your dolls dancing now. :)
