Cinnamon & Pixie Faire Team
Biggest problem – ORGANIZING MY PATTERNS!
How do you guys do it? I like my method of storing my pdf printed patterns in clear 8×11 zip lock bags, with a piece of the fabric I used enclosed. My problem is how to organize those bags? I used to store by designer, then historical period. Now I just have a disorganized stack of ziplocks!
Let’s say I am looking for a certain style of shirt. I tend to do is an image search on Google for a pattern which I could use. Then I have to look through my patterns to find it. It’s easy to do this with Simplicity, McCalls patterns, because they’re numbered. But this doesn’t work for the Pixie Faire patterns.
I THINK IT WOULD BE A REALLY BIG HELP IF PIXIE FAIRE PATTERNS WERE NUMBERED!
It would save so much time which could be used for sewing instead of searching. My biggest sewing challenge is working with stretchy fabrics & zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is using very lightweight fabric like taffeta or silk.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting started. I love to sew, but I have to push myself to start.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits. They just never come out right. It seems like they get stretched out and funny no matter how careful I am
My biggest sewing challenge is too many WIPs. I really need to get some of those completed.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with stretchy fabrics.
My biggest challenge is dealing with stretch knits, which is why I want to learn to use my little serger.
Currently, my biggest challenge is finishing a coat for my granddaughter. I can’t seem to figure out the pockets or why the facing and lining don’t seem to fit together correctly!
My biggest sewing challenge is inserting invisible zippers in the small garments.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to sew. I’m always rushing at the last minute to finish something.
My biggest sewing challenge is having the guts to start!
My biggest sewing challenges is finding the time and space to finish the projects I have started and to begin new projects.
My biggest sewing challenge as I have gotten older is getting my mind refocused and moving to my sewing room after working all day.
My biggest sewing challenge if finding the time to sew all the things I want
My biggest sewing challenge is putting in zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is only wanting to sew historical fashion. Some of my little friends want current fashions and ugh it takes me forever to get around to sewing these pieces, but ask for an 1830’s dress and bam it’s on its way in a jiffy.
My biggest challenge is sewing on slippery knit fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge are light weight knits and specialty fabrics. The seams often look like crap!
My biggest challenge is finishing projects before starting a new project.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with very flimsy, lightweight fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding appropriate fabrics for the doll clothes I want to make.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding enough time to sew and finish projects.
My biggest sewing challenge is zippers. I’ve struggled with them over the 15-20 years I’ve been sewing. I’m also struggling to learn how to make my Pixie Faire shoe patterns correctly. I’m getting better, though.
My biggest challenge is staying focused. I tend to jump from one project to another and never finish the one I’m working on.
My biggest sewing challenge is just taking the first steps and getting started. I have so many things that I’d like to make that I get overwhelmed and don’t start anything.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to sew on the things I want. A lot of my sewing time is taken up by making pillows from loved ones shirts for a local hospice.
My biggest sewing challenge is very stretchy knits on my serger.
My biggest challenge is trying to use the fabric in my stash without buying more!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits. My machine just doesn’t like them!
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding what to work on. I have many unfinished projects.
My biggest challenge is time. There is a lot I want to do and not enough time to get it all done.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting the correct tension on my sewing projects.
My biggest challenge is myself! I create more work for myself by not reading the instructions more thoroughly or not checking to be sure a seam is pinned the right way before sewing. Too much “unsewing”.
My biggest challenge is buttonholes. I need to conquer my fear and learn how to make them!
My biggest sewing challenge is keeping an even seam allowance with my serger around curves especially tiny seam allowances.
My biggest sewing challenge is alterations.. I sew for Barbie dolls and Build-a-Bears, but I often use patterns that aren’t sized for them (ex; patterns for Asian fashion dolls; 16" adult collector fashion dolls; and AG patterns) because I can’t find certain clothing styles in their size range. I ’m interested in historical and traditonal ethnic clothing, which is hard to find for Barbie dolls but common on this site. The dolls I listed often have significantly different body proportions as well as being different heights, so my alterations go well beyond just resizing based on height ratios.
My biggest sewing challenge is organizing all my tools and fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the correct settings for my serger for specific fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is tiny snaps!! Hand sewing is not my favorite, so when I have a tiny doll outfit that requires those little bitty metal snaps it takes forever. I always pull too hard and snap my thread.
On tiny dolls, getting the details I want Iinto the tiny space available.
My biggest challenge is understanding some of the techniques in a pattern. I’m sure signing up with sewing with Cinnamon would help immensely, so I will have to seriously think about it.
My biggest sewing challenge is working on more than one project at a time instead of just one.
My biggest challenge is my serger.
My biggest challenge is welt pockets
Biggest challenge is finally having enough time.
My biggest challenge is time management. I have too much fabric, too many patterns, and spend way too much time on the Internet searching for more patterns! I should treat my sewing like a full-time job and get up in my sewing room in the morning instead of spending hours on the Internet chasing rabbit holes!
My biggest challenge is getting started and staying focused. I tend to jump from one project to another and never finish the one I’m working on. I am going to try to do better in 2022.
My biggest sewing challenge is time.
My biggest sewing challenge is flimsy fabrics mostly due to the lack of patience !! Tips and tricks are not always remembered so frustration sets in.
My biggest sewing challenge is to get organized in order to find more time to do my sewing and crafts
My biggest sewing challenge is learning how to use all my sewing machine attachments and the Serger
My biggest sewing challenge is buttonholes. I avoid them and do another method, rather than trying to tackle them.
My biggest sewing challenge is having patience and slowing down. I use to want it done quickly, but I’ve learned that I really do need to slow down to get a quality sew. I’m still working on it.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding buttons and trims for my doll sized projects.
My biggest challenge is time! Sew many projects and sew little time😊
My biggest challenge is finding time !
My biggest sewing challenge includes getting those 1/4 inch seams to be straight
Biggest challenge is some of these doll patterns after having had a mild stroke this year.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing through thicker seams / fabrics, especially stretchy and denim fabrics – also finding thin somewhat stretchy denim fabric and appropriate doll scale fabrics is a challenge.
My biggest sewing challenge is actually finalizing decisions and finishing the project.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time.
My biggest sewing challenge is space and not being able to sit at my sewing machine long enough to finish projects in one sitting.
My biggest sewing challenge is, pacing myself to sew all I want when I want!
My biggest sewing challenge is cutting our very small pieces. Would like to cut them out of my circuit.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing what I start.
My biggest challenge is motivation. I have loads of supplies and ideas, but getting focused on one thing at a time is tough for me. Maybe a New Year’s resolution???
My biggest sewing challenge is small seams!
My biggest challenge is time; and when I do have the time figuring out what I want to sew the most.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting gathers evenly distributed and sewn in neatly.
My biggest sewing challenge is time!
My biggest sewing challenge is rolled hems. Still working on mastering the technique.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing sleeves and button holes.
My biggest sewing challenge is time. And finding supplies without a proper craft/fabric store within 200 miles…
My biggest sewing challenge is time!!
My biggest sewing challenge is binding around curves. I can never seem to get a smooth finish, but I still keep trying.
My biggest challenge is rolled hems. I have to keep practicing!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to sew. As you get older just trying to keep your house clean and keeping up with your Doctor appointments take up most of my time, I also have limited use of my right hand so it takes me longer to sew and harder to cut out my pattern pieces. My husband is so good about cutting my pattern pieces out for me. If I ask him if he will do it for me. Than you for the lovely giveaways you do this time of year.
My biggest sewing challenge is my own physical limitation. I’ve learned that when the joint pain starts, I have to stop or else I won’t be able to move the next day
My biggest sewing challenge is small seams, and turning tiny pieces inside out, like sleeves. For the turning inside out, a friend suggested using a chopstick, and I’m slowly getting the hang of it!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding all the tiny fasteners buttons etc. I would love to have the access to all the sources you have in the USA. Thank you for challenging me to learn all the new skills needed to create the beautiful doll’s clothing and for all the lovely giveaways!
My biggest sewing challenge is slowing down. I always seem to rush through things and that is when mistakes happen.
My biggest sewing challenge is too many projects, not enough time! The older I get (I’ll be 76 towards the end of this month), the more aware I am of time passing and not enough time to sew! I have a husband who is 13 years older than I am and requires a lot of help with things; I also am very busy with various church activities. Then there’s cooking and housework (a big failing here! LOL), and sometime in there I need to sleep!! I just came across some more UFOs I’d forgotten about, too! Yikes!
My biggest sewing challenge is cutting patterns from fabric by hand—especially tough or heavier fabrics. My hands are susceptible to repetitive use injury, so I’m looking for tools and techniques that won’t stress them so much.
My biggest sewing challenge is energy. I just don’t have the energy I need to go down to my sewing room and get started on something. I just feel exhausted most days.
My biggest sewing challenge is velvet. I know you have to be very careful about the nap of the fabric. Not sure about ironing it either and so have left it alone. I have a remnant that I would like to try but leery about it getting wasted if I use it. I’m not comfortable with any of the sheer or
silky type fabrics either which is a shame because they can definitely make an outfit take on a
whole different look.
My biggest sewing challenge is organization. My sewing room is upside down right now.
My biggest sewing challenge is time!! Having enough time to sew everything I want to sew!!
I have 2 big challenges: Making button holes and sewing slick fabric. Your give aways are the absolute best!!
My biggest sewing challenge is learning how to use my serger..
My biggest challenge is sewing with silky fabrics or applying zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is trying to fit sewing into my daily things to do! I have too much to be done and I need to sew …. I have more projects than I do hours in the day!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing topstitch straight to perfection.
My biggest sewing challenge is trying to match up a large side to a small side to sew together. They measured perfectly on paper to fabric, but once cut, one side grows longer.
My biggest challenge is finishing some projects. I get so excited about a new project I want to try that I leave the current one behind! I have a multitude of UFO’s
My biggest sewing challenge is to apply myself to sewing some of the lovely fabric I’ve accumulated over the years. I’m really good at dreaming, imagining and planning all the wonderful doll clothes I’m going to sew, but I’m not as good at actually applying myself to the task and getting started. Here’s hoping that my New Year’s Resolution to get on with the job will come to fruition!
My biggest sewing challenge is button holes my sewing machine hates them! And I always end up doing them by hand.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting the backs of dresses to not look bunched up or messy.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with slick fabric & delicate fabric.

My biggest challence is sew clothes for very little dolls because I think it is difficult to have good results. But I would try and I shall do my best to win.
