More about the Custom Thimbles & Acorns Dress: This beautiful dress is hand-made by Shari Fuller from the Maria Antoinette Zone Front Gown pattern. This historical dress is made with high quality cotton fabrics that are true to the time period. A delicate straw hat completes the look! Your 18" American Girl® doll will look fabulous in this new dress.
More About The Pattern: This zone-front gown is a Robe a l'Anglaise (a gown with a bodice that closes in the front without the use of a stomacher) with diagonal pieces sweeping from the top center front to just before the side seams at the waist, pening up into the skirt. This creates a separate piece across the stomach (a separate "zone”). The gown pictured on the front cover is made in one color and set off with a sheer organza trim, but the color of the center “zone” can be changed to give it a completely new look. The gown bodice closes down the front with hooks and eyes, edge-to-edge, with trim along the center front. The back of the gown is made in the En 'Fourreau style, a method where the back of the skirt and the back of the bodice are one piece, and the bodice portion is pleated and sewn down to create the shaping. The sleeves are full length with a double organza ruffle along the bottom edge and placket. The trimmings consist of gathered bands of organza. The standout feature of this gown is the wide red belt with rhinestone buckle. This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® or other Similarly Sized Dolls.

I like # 60. Her eyes are such a beautiful blue, just like our daughters. The dress brings out those gorgeous eyes.
Thank you for the chance to win the doll and the dress. I think #60 has the most beautiful blue eyes and I vote for her!
I believe that #60 wears it best because it brings out the color of her hair, The dark hair just makes the dress cute on her.

I think Truly #60 has just the right coloring to be flattered by the dress :)
truly #28 wears it best
As usual the outfit looks good on both dolls, but I like it best on #28
I picked Truly Me no. 28. It’s really a toss up but I think the lighter hair wore it best.
Both dolls look precious in the Thimbles and Acorn dress, but to my eyes, #28 Truly Me nudges past #60 Truly Me and Wears It Best. Her skin tone and the green of the dress just really compliment each other.
I like # 60. She embodies the era better
I think Truely #28
Both are very! I ended up voting for #28
I really like #60 best.
Truly Me # 28
truly #60 is the winner
Thank you Shari. I think #60 wears it best! Beautiful dress!
I think Truly #28 models it the best but this time it was definitely a close run. I saw a different picture somewhere at a different angle and showed their hair styles better. That is what pushed me over to pick the Truly #28 as the better model.
I like doll #28!
I like #60. The contrast of the hair, skin with the color of the dress goes so nicely together. I can imagine someone like this in real life, on the time era.
I vote for number 28. With the color of her hair the green dress just makes her shine.
No. 28 looks cutest. Thanks for the chance to win!
I voted for #60. But both look lovely. We just returned from a living history event. I can see my granddaughter with matching dresses for her AGD
They both look great, however, I think Truly Me wears it best
I like #60, but they both look lovely in the dress.

Thanks for the lovely giveaway, Shari!! They are both lovely in it, but I really like the contrast of #60’s eyes and dark hair with the the outfit:)
I had such a hard time choosing! I finally picked #60 but they both look great!
The dress alone makes the girl ie the doll. But my heart swings for TM#28
I like #28 best. Thanks, Shari, for the giveaway!
I choose #60. Her eyes make the dress colors pop. They are both cute though.
I think the dress looks best on #60. It brings out her coloring. Thanks for the great contests and freebies!
They are both so cute in the dress – it’s really hard to decide but I’ll say #28.
I think #60 eye color adds to the wonderful look.
TM#28. It just looks better with the darker eyes.
I like it on Truly Me #60.
They are both pretty but I like #28 best.
I think #60 wears it better. I just think the lovely brunette doll wears the outfit and look better. Doesn’t hurt that that I have a lovely brunette granddaughter that comes to mind when I see both of the dolls together. :) Cheers. Thanks for the opportunity.
Definitely #60! It just seems like the style suits her more.
28 gets my vote, though both are beautiful!
Truly Me #28 wears it best. Her coloring is perfect for the outfit.
I love both dolls, but Truly Me #28 definitely has my vote and Mum’s vote. We just love the entire outfit and the hat (especially). We also L-O-V-E the doll. Thanks so much, Shari, for hosting this giveaway.
I love both dolls, but Truly Me #28 definitely has my vote and my daughter’s vote. We love how the flowers just match with #28’s colouring. Her short hair looks adorable with this and the brown eyes just complete the look. We also ABSOLUTELY L-O-V-E the hat!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much, Shari, for hosting this giveaway.
Truly Me #60 wears it best — I love her dark hair contrasting with the muted tones of the dress. And I LOVE the dress — Thimbles & Acorns is my favorite design series!!
This one was so hard to choose. They both look fabulous in the beautiful dress. I settled on truly me #60.
I like #60 the best!
Hard decision! Both look great in this outfit, but #28’s coloring with this dress wins for me!
Truly me 28 looks so adorable!
I think #28 wears it best. The dress looks nice against her skin tone.
Such a gorgeous dress pattern! I chose Truly Me #28, as she looks so pretty in this outfit. I do love how the historical patterns bring us back to the original charm and mission of AG dolls.
Thanks so much for all your great historic patterns. I love the new look on the Zone Front dress.
Truly me 28, with her beautiful strawberry blonde hair. She reminds me of my beautiful 7 year old granddaughter. She would love one of these dolls. Feeling hopeful – thank you for the opportunity to win one of these dolls.

Beautiful dolls, but i think Truly Me #28 wears it best. Thank you very much for the chance to win one of these dolls with an adorable outfit!
While I love #28 as she reminds me of my friend, I’ve voted for #60 as I think she truly models it best. Either way I think both dolls would be proud and grateful for such a beautiful dress! Charming dress, Shari, and thank you for sharing!!!
I really think 28’s coloration works beautifully with this outfit. :)
Both look great in this beautiful dress, but the edge goes to #60! Her dark hair and blue eyes really pop out! Thanks for offering this giveaway!!
What a gorgeous dress!!!
We agree with Marcie!
Truly Me #60 was the best because the dress makes her eyes stand out beautifully!
The hat is also a perfect complement.
I just commented but for some reason the comment dropped who I voted for. I believe # 28 pulls this outfit off the best. It is a perfect compliment to her colouring.
Both are very beautiful but my favorite is truly me 60 …. her black hair and her blue eyes are magical :)
Truly Me #60, looks like a true French noblewoman with her dark hair and medium complexion. The beautiful dress and large sun hat is perfection on her!
I like #28 the best – her medium colored tones displays an authentic appearance that still remains historically correct in portraying the few women and girls of color who wore the same style of clothing as what the Caucasian women and girls of that time period wore. I vote for #28!
Truly #60 dark hair is so cute
I love #60 in this dress!!
I think the outfit is so cute and looks the best on Truly Me #28. Thanks for the giveaway.
Truly Me #28 looks perfect in this outfit!
#28! Her coloring is great with the outfit!

Thanks Shari! Awesome outfit. It’s a tough call but I think that 60 slightly edges out 28 due to the coloring of her hair making the dress really pop.
