More about the Custom Thimbles & Acorns Dress: This beautiful dress is hand-made by Shari Fuller from the Maria Antoinette Zone Front Gown pattern. This historical dress is made with high quality cotton fabrics that are true to the time period. A delicate straw hat completes the look! Your 18" American Girl® doll will look fabulous in this new dress.
More About The Pattern: This zone-front gown is a Robe a l'Anglaise (a gown with a bodice that closes in the front without the use of a stomacher) with diagonal pieces sweeping from the top center front to just before the side seams at the waist, pening up into the skirt. This creates a separate piece across the stomach (a separate "zone”). The gown pictured on the front cover is made in one color and set off with a sheer organza trim, but the color of the center “zone” can be changed to give it a completely new look. The gown bodice closes down the front with hooks and eyes, edge-to-edge, with trim along the center front. The back of the gown is made in the En 'Fourreau style, a method where the back of the skirt and the back of the bodice are one piece, and the bodice portion is pleated and sewn down to create the shaping. The sleeves are full length with a double organza ruffle along the bottom edge and placket. The trimmings consist of gathered bands of organza. The standout feature of this gown is the wide red belt with rhinestone buckle. This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® or other Similarly Sized Dolls.

Love it on 60. It really makes her eyes pop. I love how the dress made from this pattern looks. I think I need that pattern now. Hehe
Thank you for the opportunity to win! What fun. =) Shari does such nice work.
I vote for #28, she looks just like a young girl from that era. I think #60 looks great as well, she reminds me of a young woman, and as far as myself i like the young girl look. It took awhile to decide tho.Thank you
I think 28 wears it best.
Definitely #60 wears it best.
My vote is for #28—she looks beautiful in this outfit. Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
I love the #28. She is a blond like my granddaughter, who would get this doll if I were to win it
So hard to choose! I’m going with #28. Beautiful outfit and thank you for doing this!
The both look truly beautiful but #60 eyes just stand out so much.
Both dolls are adorable, but I really like TM#60’s dark hair and blue eyes with the color of the outfit.
Tough one. It I really like 28 in this outfit but you can’t go wrong with either. They both look beautiful.
I love #60 in the dress. I usually go for blondes but this doll looks precious in the period costume.
I’d have to say that #60 gets my vote. Her dark hair and fair skin really make the outfit pop.
Pretty dolls and beautiful outfit
Think they both look lovely, however, I like TM #60 better in this outfit.
(To amend my comment — I meant to say that TM 60 looks lovely in this dress!)
I really like the coloring of #60. Love the dress and hat!
I think #28 wore it best! It’s gorgeous on her!
I like it best on Truly Me #60.
I think#28 models it best
I think Truly Me no.28 looks the best in this outfit. Maybe it is because of the lighter hair but you have done it again
Hi all! I’m new to this, having a ball sewing doll clothes for our three AM dolls! I vote for #60, just because she has my family’s coloring. They both wear the 18th century gown so well! As an 18th century reenactor, I appreciate the historical patterns so much! Thanks for the opportunity to vote/comment!
I have to admit, I am a HOARDER of Shari’s patterns. I have nearly ALL of them. LOVE her style and expertise. Thanks!
They both look great but I find #60’s eyes are just striking.
How like real little girls, that the same dress can look so different on each of them. Thimbles and Acorns truly flatters 28, but not so much 60.
I really like #60, but with the outfit, definitely #28. The colors in the dress go with her skin tone and hair color better. Thanks
Both girls are adorable, but my vote is for #28. She looks fantastic in this dress!
I think #60 models it best. And thanks, Shari, for such a generous giveaway!
A tough choice to make! I have to go with TM #60. I think she’d be a great big sis for Lydia (AGFAT doll).
The best is Truly Me #28.
I feel that TrulyMe #28 wears the dress the best. But you did mention that she has short hair on your description. from the way she looks in her pictures, she has longish hair. which I think is better on a doll. The color of the dress goes with her perfectly.
Number 60 ;)
Love the outfit, either doll would be gorgeous wearing it, but I love Truly Me #60 the best.
I think Truly #28’s warm skin tone looks lovely with the dress. I LOVE the dress!!
As always the clothing looks really nice on either one of them. My choice would be #28.
This doll is so cute awesome giveaway love doll # 28
28 is my plck but they both look food.
Truly 28 is my choice
Truly #28. Thanks
Really love the outfit this week.
This dress is stunning (great color combo! It shows the versatility of this pattern!). I think #60 wears it best because of her darker hair (and I love her blue eyes!).
Truly 28 is my choice.
Hard choice but my vote goes to #60. I love the new Thimbles and Acorns pattern.
Truly #28 wears better
i like #28 coloration more companuable with doll
I like how the color of the fabric look with number 28’s brown eyes. If the fabric was more blue, then it could go the other way.
I like truly me #28 the best. I really like both of them but 28 reminds me of little house on the prairie and the dress looks like its from little house on the prairie.
I think both dolls are wonderfully dressed! So pretty. Would just love to have one of my own to dress up.
The dress is beautiful on both. I choose #60 because her hair and eye color are so striking.
They both model it well. I love the historical line!
Love #60! This makes her eyes pop, and her dark hair is lovely!
I really like #28, especially her dark eyes, but they are both cute.
They are both cute but I choose #60.
It was difficult to choose but I think 28 just wins, thank you for the wonderful patterns they are all great.
#60. The blue eyes and dark hair really stand out and look so pretty with the 18th century dress.
They’re both adorable, though my eyes went to Truly Me #28 first. Thanks!
I votd for #28. I thought her coloring looked better with the fabric. Both dolls were super cute, though!
#60. Thanks for your generosity, Shari. The dress is lovely!
Both dolls are gorgeous, but I went with #28. Her face mold is adorable.
The blue eyes got my vote! Darling dress!
I like Truly me because it looks like my granddaughter
I love the dress on doll 28. The colors look gorgeous on her hair and skin, but both dolls are stunning in the dress.
Truly Me #28. Even though I know that #60’s coloring would be more historically accurate to go with the style of the dress, shielding herself from the sun to keep that milk-white glow, I think #28 looks better with the colors of the dress. If the dress were in blues or pinks it might look better on #60. They are both pretty dolls. #28 carries off the coloring of this ensemble better.
#60. Her eyes pop with the dress!
Truly Me #60
It was difficult to decide. But #28, her brown eyes did it for me.
I chose #60 because I think the dark pattern doesn’t overwhelm her. :-)
This is such a beautiful gown! Any 18" doll would look elegant in this dress. ;)
I voted for #28. Her coloring sets off the dress the best.
I pick #60 she looks just like my granddaughter. Thank you so much.
I think the one with pale skin, #60, models it best. I just love these historical outfits!
Both are so pretty, but I think #60 wears it best.
I love the doll on the left (her face mold and colors), but the doll on the right wears this outfit better.
60 wear s it best
I love the design of this outfit and I would choose #28.Thank you for offering these pretty ladies.
To tell the truth, I like them both. So I just touched somewhere in between the buttons and then enter. Lovely dress and hat!
I love both of them but I think #60 looks better. There is just something about her dark hair and bright blue eyes that goes so well with the outfit.
Truly Me 28 reminds me of Mary Ingalls. I like her best. Thanks.
I like #28
I love them both!! Number 28 has that sunkissed skin tone that looks like she’s been out riding horses and being a country girl, so I’ll go with her! The outfit is gorgeous…I need to get that pattern.
I really like #60. I like her dark hair and blue eyes.?
Wow this is a hard one!!! I’m going with #28 but only because I have to choose one, but they’re both adorable!
This dress looks great on both girls, but I really like it on Truly Me #28. I love her brown eyes and skin tone with this dress.
I like #28 the best! I would love to win this American Girl! I have made outfits for my granddaughters dolls, but don’t have one of my own. That would be very nice!
I love #60, she looks so beautiful and looks like she could come to life any moment and tell you about her life. This look shows our daughters how elegant and beautiful women were in this era of time. Thank you for creating a simply wonderful dress.
I prefer #60, love those blue eyes.
I think #28 wears it best, her coloring looks better with the dress
Truly Me #28 is beautiful and the fabric choice is lovely with her skin tone and hair color.
I think both dolls are simply lovely in this outfit, but I chose 60 with her dark hair and blue eyes, it was a very hard choice!
I have to say #28. Love the dress with her coloring.
I vote for Truly Me #60, lover her blue eyes!
Truly me #28 wears it best definitely my favorite…looks like a sweet demure little country girl of the era of the dress pattern. Thank Cinnamon, and the Pixie Faire team for the patterns and doll give away’s and all the patterns and things you do for us..
I like Truly Me 28 – she looks more like the Southern Belle!
I had to go with 28 something about her coloring in the dress
i think the colouring of the outfit favours #28, but the dress is lovely , either way !
