So I have to be honest… #58 looks more like me but there is something about the hair with the face or maybe this outfit that just doesn’t do it for me. I think #66 has this one.

I think both wear it equally well; however, since there can be only one winner I choose #58 as she looks the most comfortable in the outfit. I think her hair helps give her a fun-loving spunky personality. Wonderful job on the color choices, I like how they look together.

I like it on both of them, but if I have to choose one I like the 66 better. It seems to fit her style better, her skin tone goes better with that shade of light blue, and the darker brown to black of the hair complements the blue and black very well. though shoes I’d have to say go perfectly with both of them.

I love the air of sophistication that the jacket gives to number 66. I surely wish I looked that cute when I go to the gym. I have often used thrift store finds for buttons and I save socks and clothes to use for “my girls” much to my husband’s dismay. I also love the fact that the jacket doesn’t look skimpy. I have noticed on some of the new “real” outfits that thought went more into cost than to using the amount of fabric that it should. Your Friday Freebies make my week and as a high school math teacher that is very welcome. Thank you again and my vote is #66.

It’s a cute jacket on both, but I like it a bit better on #66…her smooth hair contrasts with the texture of the jacket, so the jacket pops. I love to “upcycle” resale shop clothing and garage sale finds into doll clothes…great way to find unique fabrics!

It’s a draw really. Both girls wear it very well, but the open jacket on number 58 is the one I like best. Now if number 66 had hers open too, both would be my favorites…

I truly love the American Girl dolls. My greatest thrill at Christmas is to order one of the dolls for a girl that wants one but can’t afford one for Christmas without telling her where it came from. I will go with #58, she just sort of sparkles in that jacket. They do both look great, but there is just something about #58 that goes that little bit of extra distance. I have always tried to recycle clothing for doll clothes or other projects. I have a stack just waiting for me to have the time to work on them. Love your patterns!

My vote is for #58 — she just seems to wear it better. For years I have been recycling old clothes for doll fabric. The backs of T-shirts that are stained or torn on the front provide great knit fabric for doll shirts, as does the denim from old jeans etc. Thrift stores are another good source of fabric from recycled clothes.
