Hi everyone,
On Friday (June 9th, 2017) we are highlighting the work of Heidi Mittiga of Flossie Potter patterns. This pattern will be free one-day-only and then it will return to the regular price.
More About Heidi Mittiga and Flossie Potter Designs, (in her own words): Hello! I’m Heidi Mittiga, designer of Flossie Potter Patterns. I’ve been with Pixie Faire for several years now, and it’s been a wonderful experience where I’ve “met” many creative and talented people. My tag line is “Yesterday and Today,” which describes my love of all fashions. For instance, besides my modern-day designs, I have a collection of ‘60s – ‘70s clothing and accessories as well as several truly “historical” patterns (which means from way back, even before I was born!). I hope you enjoy my latest addition to the historical line, “Sisters,” which are two similar yet distinct dresses named after two of my granddaughters. Pair them with the “18th & 19th Century Homespun Handicrafts” to make your own lifelike displays. I’d love to see your photos!

More About Each Pattern:
The Hip Hugger Bell Bottoms Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: In the late 1960s – early 1970s, Hip-Hugger Bell-Bottom pants were the height of fashion. No fabric or color was taboo – jeans, striped linen, cotton with brightly-colored flower motifs, and even polyester pantsuits were cut as bell-bottoms. Flossie Potter has re-created the look for your American Girl® Doll in this EASY pdf sewing pattern. Sixteen pages of detailed instructions with full-color photo illustrations, three pages of full-size pattern pieces, and four pages of printable instructions (to save on printer ink!) show you how to make your own fashion statement. What's more, the pants can be created with or without the optional belt-loops* to vary your doll's wardrobe.
The 60s & 70s Accessories Set Designed To Fit 18 Inch Doll Clothes Such As American Girl: If you were a girl in the late 1960s and early 1970s, these accessories were must-haves. Now your doll can wear them, too! The Flossie Potter '60s & '70s ACCESSORIES pdf pattern shows you how to make WATER BUFFALO SANDALS (extremely flat leather sandals with a toe loop), four styles of LEATHER HAIR CLASPS (large rectangle to hold all of your doll's hair, small rectangle to hold some hair, elliptical shape, and pigtail holders that lace up), and a BRAIDED BELT (which can be made with or without bead decoration). And, if you're like me, you'll be happy to know that there is NO GLUING involved! This PDF pattern has 15 pages of step-by-step instructions with full-color photos, 1 page of full-size pattern pieces, and 4 pages of summary instructions (to save on printer ink!). The
Woodstock Peasant Blouse Designed To Fit 18 Inch Doll Clothes Such As American Girl: Nothing represents a time of youthful freedom like the Woodstock concert! It was a time to squeeze with your friends into a VW bus and head out to Yasgur's farm for "Three days of Peace & Music." The Flossie Potter Woodstock Peasant Top is reminiscent of the style of the day with its bell sleeves and flowing gauze, bedecked with flowers. You can create this popular top with Flossie's Easy-Plus PDF sewing pattern for 18" dolls. Detailed instructions with 13 pages of full-color photos, full-sized pattern pieces, and printable directions (to save on printer ink!) make sewing a breeze! Pair this top with Flossie Potter's easy "Favorite Fringed Vest" to complete the look!
The 1970s Body Suit Designed To Fit 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: The Body Suit was a popular item of clothing in the 1970s. These long-sleeved, fitted stretch turtleneck tops connected between the legs to stay tucked into skirts, slacks, and jumpers. The Flossie Potter 1970s Body Suit is based on that style. It also features raglan sleeves and a wide, fold-down turtleneck collar (rather than a mock-turtleneck). The PDF sewing pattern contains 12 pages of full-color step-by-step instructions, 3 pages of summary instructions (to save on printer ink), and 4 pages of full-size pattern pieces.

I pick the peasant blouse.
Thank you for sharing your talent and patterns. They are all darling.
My choice of these fun ’70’s designs is the Bell-Bottom Hip-Huggers! I was such a big fan of those back then & still love them! They can look very dressy or even dressed down depending on fabrics. On solids they woulD look so cool embellished with embroidery designs. Thanks to Heidi for sharing her talents with us & also to Cinnamon & her team for having Friday Freebies!! I still look forward to these fun segments! ! :o)
