My favorite historical time period is the Edwardian Period (at least when we are talking about clothing). Not sure I could explain why; I just really like the clothing styles.
My favorite historical time periods are the Middle Ages, The Victorian Age, the 1700’s and 1800’s
The historic period I like best is the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. There were so many changes during that 30 year period.
I love the 40s and 50s. Little girls dresses were darling but a bit longer than in the 30s. Ladies dresses were stylish as well as being modest. Love the prints from those 2 decades, especially the juvenile ones, vuess there’s still a bit of kid in me.
My favorite time period is the 1870 sand 80s bustles. But I’m also enamored of the simple chemises of the 1920s.
Early 1960s when Jackie Kennedy led the fashion parade with slim suits and pillbox hats and more. I still love houndstooth fabric and wide leg pants
I love the dresses little girls wore in the 1960’s. There was so much detail and I liked the shorter length.
My favorite historical time period is the late 1800’s. I love sewing Laura Ingalls Wilder clothes
How wonderful are all your Christmas gifts.
Thanks so much for all the lovely patterns you supplied me with all these years.
My favorite historical time period is the late 1950’s and early ’60s. Garments for girls and women were still feminine and modest. Western wear was popular, too. And accessories like hats and gloves remained fun ways of completing an outfit. I especially enjoy making traditional school clothes for 18" dolls and glamorous formals for fashion dolls like Barbie.
My favourite time period for garments is the roaring 20s. Women’s fashion was becoming more freeing, with shorter hemlines, less restrictive cuts and bindings, and much less fabric overall. Flapper dresses are particularly fascinating to me as they must have been so risqué.
My favorite historical time period is the Civil War era, I love the big hoop skirts and beautiful belle gowns
1960’s – reminds me of my youth
My favorite time period is the 60s and 70s because that is what I grew up with. I still love the styles and fabrics that we had. They are still wearing most of them today….
My favorite time period is the 60’s because of all the colors and patterns.
My favorite historical time period would have to be the 40’s and 50’s. The lady’s styles were so elegant and classy. I esp love the hats they wore.
My favorite historical time is the 1960’s, because that is the time I grew up in. Thank You for the awesome giveaways.😘
My favorite historical time is the 1960’s. Thank You for the awesome giveaways.😘
I adore this Friday freebie
I love the clothes from the late 1800s, the Victorian Era. I love the long dresses, tha handwork, and the practicality of aprons and pockets that were separate.
My Favourite historical period was the 1960s _ My Mum stayed up late sewing, and making dresses for us
My favourite historical time period is the Edwardian times.
For doll sewing my favorite historical time period is the 40s-50s because I can sew doll outfits like the ones I had growing up.
I love Sixties styles; simple lines, bold colors, pop art influences.
My favorite historical time is the 1800’s as that is when Australia was settled. It’s amazing how they coped in the clothes from a colder climate. But all time periods are fascinating to me too.
My favorite historical time period is Regency because I used to do English Country Dance and that’s the time period my group dressed in the clothing of. I love the women’s dresses it hearken back to the ancient Greek Goddesses.
I can’t possibly pick just one historical time period! My “favorite” is 1500-1900, and how clothing (both fashionable and everyday) evolved.
My favorite historical time period is the present! I think this is the best time in history for women.
My favorite time period is the Regency era. The time period that Pride and Prejudice takes place, the fabrics, the lace, and beautiful hairstyles.
My favorite time period is what I call the New Days. The Aztec Calendar timed out about 2012. By then there was TV and cable and Internet and e-books and e-magazines, all that and affordable celphones. As a child my ideal of high tech was the zig-zag sewing machine. So, I favor before die-cuts and programmed embroidery. I like handwork without needing to trek to a library for manuals or endangering home stability with dangerously over-filled bookcases. Hurrah for e-patterns!
I love the style of the 1950’s
Thank you for all the fun give-aways.My favorite historical time is the 40’s. That’s when I grew up and the stories remind me of my childhood. Molly was the first doll I sewed for in 1983 for my granddaughter. Next week I start sewing for my 8th granddaughter, The girls have to choose a historic doll and this one is Kirsten.
My favorite historical time period is the Victorian Era. I love the long gowns and the raga muffin sleeves. The undergarments were so beautiful besides the dresses and hats .

I loved the 60’s fashion inspired by Jackie Kennedy.
