My New Years plans include taking better care of myself! I have spent the better part of my life taking care of others working Nights as an RN . This has often led to poor eating habits and now that I’ve retired, a sedentary Lifestyle. I’m hoping that I can overcome Procrastination and Reclaim my space aka the Office and my Project Room. My 2020 plans are to organize my fabric so I can find what I think I have and to start Christmas projects earlier in the year!!!

My New Years plans include watching It’s a Wonderful Life and the Lightning/Sabres game witih my husband and little girl. who is going to try to stay up til midnight for the first time. Then for supper on New Years Day our dear friend is coming to hang out and eat with us, so we’ll be doing some cleaning and I’ll be doing a lot of cooking. It’s going to be fun!

This question seems to go two ways, so I’ll answer both ways. My plan for New Year’s Eve (and Day) is to hang out with family and play games while eating a dinner’s worth of finger foods and snacks. My plans for the new year are to write something every week and to sew a day or two each week as well.

I also have one granddaughter that wants to learn to sew, so I plan to teach her on the very same sewing machine that I learned to sew on when I was seven years old, an 1875 hand turning Singer sewing machine. The fourth generation to use this machine. Plus a whole lot of scrapbooking, too!

“My New Years Plans Include more sewing!” 2019 I sewed more than I did in prior years (I have only started in 2016) and I really saw improvement in my sewing. I want to continue that success.

My New Year’s plan to have a happier year for myself and family. 2019 was tough with the loss of my husband after a long illness and a number of other sad events we have experienced. I love making doll clothes using patterns offered at Pixie Faire and have assembled everything I need to learn to make doll shoes in 2020! Sewing and creating really helps me find my happy place!

I’m also welcoming a new daughter-in-law for my son’s wedding and then my daughter will have a new grand baby to welcome into our family 😊
