apprendre à faire des chapeaux, ça c’est super! mais lequel je préfère, c’est plus difficile à savoir. En tant que française le béret pourrait s’imposer mais j’aime beaucoup les chapeaux de paille qui peuvent avoir tant de forme différentes. Quant au chapeau de feutre moulé, c’est une technique que je ne connais pas et que je découvrirais avec plaisir.

My Favorite Hat would be the fabulous and outlandish Hats I have seen worn at the Kentucky Derby. I love hats and always wanted to learn how to make them. By learning to make them for Danielle, my 18 inch doll and can then take that technique and transfer it to making a matching hat for me.

My favorite type of hat would have to be those that women wore in the mid-twentieth century that completed every fashionable outfit. I was mesmerized by the ones my grandmothers owned with their artificial fruits, flowers, and birds, often with tiny nets and in delicious colors. When I see them every now and again at garage sales or flea markets I marvel at the inventiveness and sense of artistry that went into such creations and muse about the delight they must have inspired in the wearer.
