I shop for doll fabric from my daughter’s outgrown clothes – it’s a great way to bring back pieces that we love and not have as harsh an impact on the environment
I shop for specialty fabrics, like wool, at thrift stores because you can find some pretty cool stuff in human clothing that works just as well for doll clothes.
I shop for fabric at our local stores, walmart and hobby lobby.
I have the hardest time finding appropriate prints and weights of fabrics in old-fashioned colors.
I have the hardest time finding fabrics with smaller print at my local stores. Usually have to order online, which I don’t like because I’m picky about my fabrics. I have to be able to feel them.
I have found socks at the Dollar Tree that are great for making over into tights, and even frilly socks for the dolls…also tiny hair clips.
I shop just about anywhere for supplies, Goodwill Store, I work in a local fabric store which feeds my ideas for new outfits. I love using old fabrics found on clothing in the goodwill stores, I reuse the fabrics in so many ways. I also use from my old stash of fabrics.

I find my sewing supplies at a little fabric store called Craig’s in our town. They have a great supply of hard-to-find bits and pieces!
