I love creating doll clothing with lots of flowing details. While I immensely enjoy ruffles, piping and lace, which are a part of many eras, the one time frame that I wish that there were more patterns for little girl doll clothes is from 1910 -1920. I have a little girl whom I sew for that would love more pattern options for her AG doll, Rebecca Rubin.

My little girl’s doll is from the modern era and she mostly wears sporty outfits. However, my favorite era of clothing and fashion is early American. I hope one day to share all of the Little House on the Prairie books and DVDs with my daughter, so I’d love to see a pattern for some dresses like Laura and Mary Ingalls would have worn.

The 40s is my favorite time period. I wear my hair in victory rolls and 40 styles. I am at the present making a pair of Rosie the Riveter overalls and blouse for myself and my Kallie Wellie Wisher. I purchased her so I could make clothing for the dolls my friend got for her three granddaughters as Christmas gifts.
