I am way off of most who have commented. I absolutely love the pre-Civil War era dresses. Not because they are easy to makea and not because I plan to m ake a bunch of them, but because they were pretty and lady-like. The pattern I would like to see is one that has the regular hard working pioneer women of the 1830s to 1850s, just like my great grandmother’s wore.

I think it was probably simplicity’s pattern 7461. It had the cutest puffed sleeves. Made in a brown and orange leaf print. I guess I’ve come full circle because I’d love to see it on my doll. Oh, yes, I’m 66 and I have 2 dolls. ?

I definitely like the 1940-1950’s children’s clothing and like to have my dolls look like elementary school girls and not their older teen sisters. I would like to see a nice Sunday dress and coat outfit for winter and an Easter dress and jacket or shrug for the spring/summer. Please include any under garments if needed to make the dress look nice.
Late 1940’s and early 1950’s. When we came out of WWII and all of the rationing was gone the hems went down and the skirts went wide. Designers now could use as much fabric as they wanted and they DID. I personally wear a lot of circle skirts as they are becoming on just about any figure. I have lost over 100 pounds and finding that I do have a waist has been fun. My daughter and eldest granddaughter also appreciate that era.
