I’d love to learn more about sewing with Rayon dress fabrics. I have a friend who just broke both of her arms in multiple places. She’s having surgery tomorrow and will be unable to take care of herself for the next 6 weeks; so I have volunteered to be her constant companion and caregiver while she recuperates. Having both arms immobilized creates many fashion and functional hurdles that I’m helping her overcome. Unfortunately, she needs to go back to work before her recuperation time ends, (as she is the financial director for her church and must complete the year-end accounting work that no other church member knows how to do). Unfortunately, none of her current clothes will be options for her to wear at work. I need to quickly make her some work appropriate garments that will be easier for her to wear and get into during this difficult time. I just checked out the Mood Fabrics website for the first time and was blown away by its beautiful fabric and pattern lines!!! The remarkable number of free patterns come in such a variety of sizes and are appropriate for all age groups. Wow! That is very unusual. I think a number of those patterns will be appropriate for someone with limited mobility like my friend. I am going to suggest to her that I make her some new work clothes right away using these patterns. Thank you very much for letting us all know about Mood Fabrics and for this opportunity for someone to win a gift card to that website. Mood Fabrics is a wonderful resource for online shopping.
