Hi everyone, Today is DAY 12! The final day of our super amazing 12 Days of Christmas giveaways and we're ending it with a big surprise!
Giveaway update: Congratulations to Maureen A. she has been selected as the winner of this new doll and she has been contacted by email!
For our 12th Day Of Christmas giveaway, we are giving away the brand new American Girl® 2020 Girl of the Year doll, Joss Kendrick™! The winner will receive the brand new 18-inch doll, in her original packaging, mailed to her directly from Pixie Faire!
Here's the description from the American Girl® website (images are also from the American Girl Website):
Joss is a fierce surfer girl who never backs down from a challenge—even if it means taking a chance on something new, like trying out for cheer. But landing a spot on the cheer team is harder than it looks: Joss is hard of hearing, and often misses the count. She’s determined to prove herself as a cheerleader and a surfer girl and realizes that an all-in attitude and an open mind might help her fly higher than ever before.

Got Fabric? Here's a fun idea to make your own swatch book for future use. Get the download from the SWC Bonus section. I’d love to see more patterns encouraging education. FYI: I don’t get many new dolls for my collection, and I do a lot of charity work for children whose families can’t afford new dolls either. The majority of ‘Darlings’ I sew for have been given to children of ‘less fortunate’ families. Loving little hands have spent many hours holding them close and finding the joy they get so little of in their lives. Their one dress is in tatters, and no one has had the time to wash away the dirt of many months past. I give each doll a bath, repair it and give it a new hairdo, as best I can with what is left. I then find a pattern I’ve usually obtained from Pixie Faire and make it one of the prettiest outfits possible. I often have to create a pattern if the doll is an odd size. And, parents often ask me to make the doll a “school dress” or even dress the doll like their teacher. Yes, I’d love to see new patterns and have that beautiful new Joss Kendrick Doll in my collection, but even more I’d like to share the joy I get when I see the face of a darling child as I hand her (or him) their very own re-made gift of love. Thank you, Pixie Faire! I have enjoyed joining you for this fun filled 12 Days of Christmas! Nita
