I primarily sew for fun. Just started to get back into it now that I have grandchildren. Sewing for the dolls & little ones as well as teaching my granddaughter. I sew primarily as a hobby that has now turned into a home based business. On average, most weeks I spend no less than 5 days a week 10-12 hrs a day sewing, but if I’m really excited about what I’m sewing it turns into all 7 days spent in my “She Shed” that I have made into a fabulous sewing shop. I sew primarily to have a fuller life otherwise I allow chores, writing projects, busy-busy grind to consume, exhaust, and sadden me. The fuller life enlivens my contacts with my grand-girls and neighbors’ children, especially when my projects have me working with them on historical clothing to fit school history projects. Several years back your catalog cover featured an American Girl doll in a dress which closely matched a similar dress worn by one of the girl’s great-great-great grandmother to a White House reception, and we made several of those!
I want to sew as a hobby, my goal is to spend at least an hour a week.
