I sew primarily as a hobby. I spend between 5-10 hours per week sewing.

I sew & crochet because I truly find it my get away. I love creating things for people and myself. I started sewing with a hand and needle at 8 years old because my mother didn’t know how to sew and wouldn’t let me use a sewing machine. I created barbie doll clothes which I didn’t have patterns I made my own. I sew primary for a hobby and making things for friends. I can spend on average during the week up to 8 hours and the weekend in the winter most of the whole weekend doing sewing/quilting. So maybe up to 30 hours a week when I am not working. Its my get away from the office and life stress.

Primarily my sewing is my hobby.I am constantly looking for good used tops mainly. I probably spend anywhere from 5 to 20 hours weekly sewing. And that depends on if u am sewing, cutting or matching up materials. I love it when my creations turn out perfectly. I have sold a few pieces or outfits, but mainly I make 18" doll clothes for my granddaughters.
I sew (and knit and crochet) as a hobby. I have to say, I spend a lot more time thinking and planning than the roughly 4-12 hours a week I actually spend doing any of it.

I sew mostly for charity. We have a group that meets once a month and I plan the project and get it ready for an average of 12 people. So I average 10 hours a week finding pattern, getting supplies, trying out project, writing up directions, making it into a kit, etc. Our latest project are drawstring bags.
I sew because I LOVE to. I sew for myself, my granddaughters, and for my home business (my granddaughters friends and my friends granddaughters). I spend about 20-25 hours a week at my passion.

I sew because I love it! I’ve sewn since I was at my mama’s knee helping her make quilts. I’ve collected special dolls all my life and started making outfits for them as a hobby. Later I sold a few dolls dressed to the hilt, and came to realize how much that could help us financially. I hope to set up a web page and sell off some duplicates (not my AGs) and older dolls. I spend at least 8 to 10 hours a day sewing for my dolls, crocheting and cross stitching; whatever my time allows. I find it very therapeutic. I’d be lost without my dolls to sew for.

I sew because I want to. Ideas come to me , so i draw it out then make that idea. it may take several trys to get what I want, but it does develope. making dolls & their clothes seems to be the medium i have come to love. Three girs of mine, none loved dolls like I have, all my life. I spend 5-6 hours a day in my sewing room.
