I would love to take a Pixie Faire class that would show me how to put in tiny long sleeves.
I’d love to take a Pixie Faire class that shows me how to make doll shoes. That would be a lot of fun!
I have a wonderful collection of newborns to 12 months knit baby body suits (purchased from Walmart baby department) to remake into garments for Bitty Baby and American girl dolls. I’ve allowed 2 per doll to cut apart. (One to fit the bodice, the 2nd to allow for extra length or cut for ruffles.) I’ve yet to have the nerve to cut them apart. Would love to see a video (and perhaps patterns) to utilize this great source of knits with darling small prints.
I’d love to take a pixie fair class that shows me how to make doll shoes. That would be a lot of fun!
I would love to take a class in sewing with knits. I don’t have the stamina to do it right now, with surgery coming up in a couple of days, but when I recover, that is my goal.
I’D LOVE TO TAKE A PIXIE FAIRE CLASS THAT SHOWS ME HOW TO use my serger using the various feet and to easily do gathering, as well as adjustments for various fabrics for a great finish each time.
Im thinking of signing up for SWC. Although I have sewn for 60 yrs I feel there are still things I could use help with or new techniques. Have two more days to decide and take advantage of the new offer.
My favorite Pixie Faire Course is the Simply Shoes Master Class because it easily allows one to add that final “smashing” touch to outfits! Ready-made shoes are limited and boring but you are only limited by your imagination after quickly learning the easy basics in this class.

My favorite class is how to use each sewing machine foot. I have many that I don’t know their use.
I’d like to take a class showing me how to make my own patterns for 18” dolls.
I would love a course that teaches me how to adjust for fit on a doll. I may make a garment and the pattern is off and buches here or there. I would like to alter the pattern for the next time. But I don’t know which alteration is needed to fix the specific problem if the pattern is off just enough to bother me.
Also a more in depth course on ironing…removing wrinkles in synthetic fabrics, straightening overly lettuced knit seams, ironing so that hong kong finish seams or seam edges don’t show through on the garment., guidelines on which direction to iron shoulder and side seam…especially for honk kong finishes.

And my favorite class I have taken is the Pattern Academy although I must admit I have had difficulty drafting a set of slippers for my doll. She has a bit of a tummy which is problematic! Out of the regular classes, I have learned the most from the Zipper class. And I do like the sew along classes as well. Maybe a follow-up class to the Pattern Academy on how to take a real life outfit or a design of our own, using our own slippers convert the design into a pattern we can actually see. I know that was covered in the Pattern Academy some what but maybe it can be done a bit more in depth!!!
I would love Pixie Faire to have a class on backdrops and scenery for staging dolls for picture taking.
I also think learning to use a cricut for patterns as other responders have mentioned, would be cool.
2. MY FAVORITE PIXIE FAIRE COURSE IS the shoe class BECAUSE the more I practice and review the techniques, the better my shoe making is getting. Now I can make shoes that match outfits and I can even design shoes for odd-sized doll feet, like Ideal’s Crissy and Tiffany Taylor. Although I have to say that making high heels is still a challenge. I’d love to have a 3-D printer and some basic patterns just for that!
