My favorite tradition we have is making the homemade foods from my family and my husbands family- the homemade cornbread dressing from my side which has from scratch cornbread, bacon, celery, shredded carrots, onions, and chicken broth, so good. From my husbands side it is a French tortierre pie, made of shredded pork and shredded hamburger, onions, potatoes, all cooked into a piecrust. Usually eaten after midnight mass on Christmas eve or on Christmas day with mustard. Both recipes have been handed down and just feels like loved ones that have passed on are still there with us.

Wishing everyone Christmas peace and joy!

In past years it has always been to help my wonderful 98 grandma do her Christmas Eve dinner. I would get her house decorated, buy and wrap all of her Christmas gifts for the family, and then have the whole family over for Christmas dinner. It was always so much fun. But my grandma passed last year and I moved out of state and now my husband and I are finding our own traditions.
My favourite tradition is the tree decorating as we talk about all the memories collected over 37 years of marriage! We married at Christmas and for my wedding shower the guests each brought an ornament from their own collection! Plus I have handmade ornaments made by my mom! Then the kids etc! Wonderful memories!

My favorite holiday memory is when mom would drive us around to see all the Christmas light displays.
My favorite holiday tradition is making my Dad’s homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. They are fabulous and make the house smell so good.
My favourite holiday traditions are driving around looking at all the beautiful lights in the area, one area in particular is called Lindenwood Lights where all streets are a different theme (candy canes, polar bears, penguins, nutcrackers & Santas). The fun part every year is how much snow may or may not be on the streets as it makes following the front cars interesting & how people choose to interpret their theme. Also every year Christmas morning my hubby makes homemade egg muffins & we open presents with the kids & watch Christmas movies.
