About A Girl For All Time®
A Girl For All Time® dolls are 16-inch dolls who represent fictional British historical characters as well as modern English girls, and even a new boy doll named Max. Dolls from the Your Historical Girl™ collection are the perfect choice for those interested in English history, as each doll is a member of the same ancestral line through the generations. Each doll’s accompanying book explores their own search to connect with the history of their ancestors as well as depicting life in their own time period. AGAT also produces a collection of contemporary dolls in their Your Modern Girl™ line.
A Girl For All Time® was created by Frances Cain, an American who has lived most of her life in London. She found herself in need of toys for her own daughter which celebrated history and intelligent social play, and created this line of dolls to meet that need. As their website states, “Our goal is simple: to design and produce gorgeously crafted dolls and books that celebrate being a girl in an intelligent way and inspire a lifetime of play and creativity.”
The company practices slow manufacturing to reduce waste and maintain great product quality. This means that they take care to only manufacture the amount of dolls they know will be sold, and have begun an initiative to eliminate single use plastic from their packaging. They also donate returned or damaged merchandise to children’s organizations rather than sending the goods to the landfill. Due to their slow manufacturing practices, you may have to wait for a new restock of dolls before you can order your AGAT.

I like Nishea because she has brown eyes and Sam for the same reason and because she’s a sixties girl.
I love Clementine with her beautiful green eyes and complimentary red hair. She is adorable. All of the dolls are beautiful and as precious as can be.
In my opinion, the face sculpts are lifeless, sad, and rather homely. Since I prefer to share my space with cheerful dolls, I won’t be adding one of these to my collection.
I was disappointed by Matilda. The knee joints don’t stay bent – as soon as you let go they spring straight again because there’s no slot for the elastic to go into in the bent position, so there might as well not be any knee joints. The elbows are only slightly better.
Also, the clothing isn’t very accurate to the period… Which isn’t very good in a doll that supposedly teaches the young owner about the history. They’re pretty dolls, and a nice size but I’m not adding any more to my collection.
Teddy
My favorite girl is Lydia because she has a sweet face, although they are all lovely dolls
My favorite would probably be Lydia, but I also really like Amelia and Sam. They’re beautiful dolls!
Lydia, like my daughter!
I like the new handsome Max boy doll— would be good to use with 14" girl dolls as well as with GFATime girls.
Lydia is my favorite
nice doll
Lydia is my favorite. I like her face mold. Also, I have found it very difficult to find a doll with a storyline who has brown hair and blue eyes, like me.
A Girl for All Time dolls are so lovely. I can’t decide between Sam and Elinore as my favorites, and I just saw that they’ve added a boy, Max, to the line up!! So beautiful.
I like Elinor. Her hair is like mine when I was young. I also like her era.
I like all of them but Max and Clementine are particularly endearing.
I like Nisha. Her long, dark, shiny hair fits her contemporary outlook
Clem is darling; I love her red hair! Thank you for the chance to win!
I really like Elinor because I feel like they did a great job of making her look like the paintings of girls of the Elizabethan era.
My favorite is the Elizabethan doll Elinor! I like the clothing from that time period!!
I like these dolls and that they are into their roots! I have worked on my genealogy and have 2 lines in England ,One line in Ireland and One Scandinavian line!! Finding your ancesters is fun to do and it is fun to learn their quirky ideas about things. While looking thru a list of people that died in the 1917-18 flu epidemic I saw President Trumps grandfather. It was sad that he immigrated from Germany, went back to visit and after his return to America he died from the flu. I’m sure there are a lot of sad stories in every ones Genealogy. Our ancesters had a hard life just as some of the Historical girls did.
Sam looks more her part. I use to wear my hair like that in the sixties, only longer. Rhere are so many fun styles from the sixties that could be made.
Lydia is one of my favorites, because that was my great-grandmother’s name.
Matilda is also a favorite because the Tudor period is one of my favorite periods to read about.
I love Bex. She is so beautiful and I know any little girl would love to have her.
Eleanor is my choice! I believe I would have LOVED to dress in the Elizabethian clothing. LOVE the elegance! The charm! GORGEOUS!
I’m eager to start sewing a wardrobe for a doll. I particularly like Matilda.
Elinor is my favorite
Clementine is my favorite, due to the green eyes and short hair!
Clementine because I love the red hair and green eyes.
They are all beautiful.
I just purchased Clementine so Maya will be next. I love them all.
It’s hard to choose between Clementine and Bex. I think I will leave it as a tie!
I like the looks of Amelia. She has a sweet face.
I grew up in the 60s. My mom in the 40s (her sister Frances had the green eyes with red hair). You would think one of those, but no. My first and favorite is Matilda. My British hubby got me interested in the Tudor era. She has a pretty face a nice hair. I’d like to see green eyes with other than red hair.
My favorite is the Clementine doll because of her red hair and green eyes. Thank you Cinnamon for this fun opportunity!
I like Sam, the 60’s girl because that is the era that I grew up in.
My favorite is Clementine – for the green eyes – but they are all cute as ever
Amelia is my favorite. Young girls in the victorian era experienced the beginning of the equal rights for women. Voting, property ownership, and self determination were just a few.
Nisha because she has an Asian look in the face and it’s hard to find Asian looking dolls for my Vietnamese granddaughters.
They’re all so lovely, so I can’t pick a favorite:) But Clementine has such a lively attitude, very cute!
it would be Clementine, love the redhead.
I love the Tudor doll as she looks so much like my granddaughter
My favorite is Amelia. I like the shape of her face and her expression. Clementine should be my favorite since I was born in 1940 and have green eyes.
My favorite is Sam because she’s a 60’s girl like me.
They are all so sweet, but Bex is my fave, her ethnicity speaks to me!
Amelia is my favorite because of her time period – Victorian fashion was amazing!
I love all the AGAT dolls! Thanks for the chance to win her.
Bex is my favorite—she is adorable!
Elinor. Because I love her auburn hair with the blue eyes. The Edwardian period also is a favorite time in history and would love to read her story.
Matilda was my first AGAT and remains a favourite. This is a lovely doll line and I hope it continues for many years to come.
I like Elinor. I have always loved that time period, and I just like her face.
They’re all so cute, but I think Lydia’s dark hair and blue eyes are really striking!
I like Elinor the Elizebethan best— I think she has the prettiest face and love her outfit, plus our family has known English ancestors back in that time era.
Amelia has a very sweet face. Love the blonde hair and blue eyes.
I just love Sam and Clementine. I have the new Max, but not one of the girls.
Elinor. Definitely Elinor. Her face draws me in, her hair is fantastic.
I like Elinor. She is beautiful with her blond hair and I like her time period.
Amelia would be my first choice, but like them all.
I like them all but mostly Clementine for her red hair and honest expression. Very cool that she is articulated!
Clementine is my favorite. My dad was a red head so I’m always partial to red hair. I also love the 1940’s. When I was a child my mom’s best friend had several business suits from her time as a secretary and she let me use one for history day at school. I felt so classy!
I think Elinor is so pretty!
I love Elinore. I like her soft face and her red hair.
My favorite is Amelia, looks like my granddaughter. A beautiful expression.
they are all so pretty and i love that they have joints. elinor and bex are my favorites
All of them look great but my favorite is Clementine. I just like her looks.
Elinor is my favorite because I love her hair!
Love them all and the story behind them. Something I would love to share with my granddaughters. To own any one of them would be wonderful!
I love Amelia, my grandmother was born in Victorian England and this would have been her era doll! Clementine would be my Mom, she was born in England as well and the family imigrated to Canda in 1920.
I think Matilda is adorable. She’s my favorite because I’ve always been interested in the Tudor period of British history. Thank you for the giveaway and the Ultimate Guides! I’m enjoying them very much!
My favorite doll is Sam. Iwas born in 1960.
I like them all but Bex and Max stand out for me.
I like Max. It’s rare to see a boy doll with beautiful wavy hair.
Elinor is my favorite A Girl For All Time because of her sweet face, long hair and beautiful dress!
Lydia caught my eye this morning.
I like Sam. I was born in 58, so I went through the 60’s. I like historical doll cloths and dolls.
I love dolls. I would like a whole collection!
Clementine has such a sweet look of innocence. She looks like my niece who also has beautiful red hair.
Clementine has such a sweet look of innocence. She looks like my niece who also has beautiful red hair.
What’s not to love? They have a great variety- girls, boys, different styles of hair, colors able bodied and disabled.
Matilda and Lydia are both beautiful.
I love Elinor; there’s just something impossibly sweet about her face.
Matilda is my favorite. She has a very compelling face.
Sam is my favorite because I was a child of the 60’s.
Elinor is my favorite because she looks like my granddaughter. :) All the dolls are adorable!
I love Elizabeth because of her beautiful hair
I just bought Clementine.
y favorite doll is Elinor. I love her sweet face and pretty hair. I am also fascinated by the Elizabethan era.
I like Bex and Max. Bex because she reminds me of a special young lady in my life and Max because I grew up playing with GI Joes and I believe there show be more male dolls.
I like Lydia’s face the best of all of them.
They are lovely… if I could choose only one, I’d choose Elinor. I love her hair and blue eyes
Amelia is the one that appeals to me.
Clementine is my favorite. I love her face and hair.
It’s a tie between Clementine and Sam. I would take either one. Must say, all the dolls are beautiful!
I love Lydia’s eyes and the long dark hair.
I really like Nisha. She has such a pretty face. The outfit is very cute on her. Her dark hair compliments her face. Clementine is very cute and I would love to have her.
I like clementines face best.
Favorite is difficult. I have Lydia. My SO came by as I was removing her from her packaging, he was so awestruck that I put her on the side board in the dining room where she’s been standing ever since. Love her. I have Max – I was part of the “crow financing” – I put a top hat on him and believe me he wears it like he was born wearing it. I would love to have a Clementine. I love her look and the whole 30-40s style she wears so well. I collect dolls so I really would love to add Elinor, Amelia and Bex – They each have their own beauty . . . So “favorite” !?! Well, if I only could have one it would have to be Lydia.
I love Clementine. Just something about that red hair and those eyes.
