Summer is winding down -- and this girly, fun flower garland would be just the ticket to decorate your end-of-season parties --- or just add a bit of spice to your room!
Begin with squares of tissue paper about 4" x 4". This doesn't have to be exact; part of the charm is the randomness of the whole thing.
I used white tissue paper, folded my squares into smaller squares, and painted one corner with watercolor paints before letting them all dry. Colored tissue paper would be just as fun, though!
Go through the garage and find a string of white Christmas lights, then grab your trusty roll of tape and get to work.
First, stack two squares of tissue on top of each other, skewing them slightly so the corners are offset. Then, push a light through the center of both pieces.
Squish the pieces together at the base of the light to form the flower shape, and wrap a piece of tape around the light base to secure.
Keep going till you run out of lights... or tissue... and then plug it in to celebrate!

Love this idea! I’ll definitely try it for summer parties. With black, violet and orange it can work for Halloween.
Carol, if you highlight the whole tutorial, right click and copy it and then open up word on your computer. Select an full page in word, right click and paste the tutorial in it. Now you can either print it or save it to your computer. I save all of these tutorials every week this way.

Can you make these tutorials printer friendly? They are great ideas and I would like to keep them handy. Thanks.
