Every doll wardrobe needs a mini skirt. The Sasha Mini Skirt by Love From Lola is a new twist on a classic wardrobe staple. Using just two simple folds the skirt front is folded over a belt. Two tiny welt pockets finish off the back of the skirt. Your skirt hem can be finished off with a simple double fold hem, or use the alternate bias finished hem to add a touch of elegance to your skirt.
A wide variety of fabrics can be used for this skirt. Your choice of fabric can make this a fun daytime skirt, or an elegant skirt which pairs well with the Circles Around Jacket to make a fabulous suit.
This pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Woven cottons, denim, chambray, suiting type fabrics, wool. Any fabric that will hold a pleat nicely will work well.
Supplies Needed:
- 1/4 yard fabric
- 5 1/4 inches of 1/4 inch wide elastic
- 1/2 inch slider buckle
- OR
- Two 15mm (about 5/8") jump rings
- Disappearing marking pen
- 22 inches of 1/2 inch single fold bias tape (Optional)
