The '70s are here again with the Flossie Potter California Baja - a light-weight woven unisex top which can be worn as a jacket or shirt.
Easily recognizable by its vertical and horizontal striped design elements, this doll-size version is a replica of the iconic summer wear, which was introduced to the US from Baja California in the 1970s. Off-the-shoulder sleeves, side slits, and fringe keep the Baja popular today at bonfires on the beach or campfires in the mountains.
Flossie Potter's simple techniques are fully explained in this "Easy Plus" PDF sewing pattern which includes 16 pages of full-color, step-by-step instructions, 4 pages of text-only instructions, and 4 pages of full-size pattern pieces.
The California Baja will fit most 18" dolls by making the minor sleeve-length adjustments given in the directions.
