Starting something new? We at Melody Valerie Couture think this new frock is just the ticket for the 18 inch doll who’s stepping out. It’s flattering, elegant, but unique -- sure to help her meet the situation with confidence! This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®.
This dress can be made from a variety of fabrics. We suggest using linen, silk noil, lightweight raw silk, rayon, or cotton sateen, with a rayon, silk or poly blend lining in a color that compliments the fashion fabric. The accents are best with a sheer polyester (or, if you are up for a challenge, silk) chiffon. Georgette could also work well.
