This darling sailor dress pays homage to the Cosplay Harajuku style that has taken the fashion world by storm. It was featured in the Liberty Jane® Spring 2014 Tokyo Libby Collection and sold at auction.
The dress pattern designed to fit 18 inch dolls, features a sailor collar and separate tie, princess seams with inserted lace, an inverted pleated skirt, and a fully lined bodice. An invisible zipper closes up the back.
Suggested fabrics include cotton, cotton blends, and linen. Have fun mixing and matching the collar and trim colors to create many different looks!

Supplies Needed:Dress:
-1/3 yard of dress fabric
-1/4 yard lining fabric
-7" (or longer) invisible zipper
-Trim: 2 1/2 yards of 3/16" wide lace trim or ribbon for collar, tie, and skirt
-Trim: 1/3 to *2/3 yard of 1/2" wide lace for bodice seams (*if inserting in back bodice seams also)
-1 package of 1/2" wide hem tape
-1 small hook and eye
-Matching thread
-Zipper foot
-Hand sewing needle
Slip Supplies:
-1/8 yard tulle netting or dance mesh fabric and 3/4 yard 1/2" wide lace OR 3/4 yard 3-4" wide lace
-1/3 yard 3/8" wide elastic
