Her new dress has adorable puffy sleeves. The zig zag lace pattern in the skirt creates a lovely open design. There are 2 options for the hemline... a lacey edge created with the Channel Island Bind Off and the standard knit bind off.
The heart is a super fast knit! If you are an intermediate or advanced knitter, it can be an open canvas for trying out other decorative stitches!

This PDF knitting pattern by Love U Bunches is designed to fit 8” Baby Dolls such as Little Bitty Baby™ or American Girl® “Caring for Baby” Doll, but may work for similar sized dolls.
Recommended Yarns: Heritage Fingering Yarn by Cascade Yarns®, Stroll Fingering Yarn by KnitPicks®. Note regarding yarn choice: To show the beautiful lace stitch definition in the skirt, pick a yarn that is in the thinner range of Category 1. It also helps to pick a yarn with a tight twist.
Supplies Needed:
- US size 1 (metric 2.25mm) circular needle (or needles required to get gauge)
- US size 2 (metric 2.75mm)
- Fingering weight yarn (category #1) (approximately 30 grams for the entire ensemble)
- 4 small stitch markers
- 4 very small buttons or beads, 3mm to 5mm
- Tapestry needle to weave in ends
- Small puff of polyester fiberfill for heart pillow
