Let it snow! Sweater - This pattern features beading that resembles a soft snow falling on a cool winter’s night!
This little sweater is perfect over a party skirt or jean skirt! Long or short sleeves, it’s simply adorable! The sweater is knit top down with raglan sleeves. Short rows are used to create a soft, relaxed neckline. The back closes with 4 small buttons. This sweater is not reversible. The sweater can also be knit without beads!
Bonus: Instructions for adding beads to the cuff on the long sleeved version!

Stitches used: k, p, k2tog, SSK, SSP2togtbl, +B (add a bead), yarn over short rows.
Recommended Yarns: fingering weight yarn (Category 1)
Suggested yarns: Heritage from Cascade Yarns®, 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon. Stroll™ from KnitPicks®, 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon
Supplies Needed:
Needles:
- Sweater: US size 1 (2.25mm) circular needles for the body of sweater and US size 0 (2.0mm) for the neckband, cuffs, and waistband. Circular needles are suggested to hold all the stitches.
Optional: US size 1 (2.25mm) and US size 0 (2.0mm) double pointed needles are suggested for the sleeves.
Yarn:
- Approximately 20 grams of fingering weight yarn (Category 1).
Beads:
- Size 8/0 seed beads (approximately 50 or 62 for version with beaded cuff)
Notions:
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- 4 small buttons (3/8” 9mm)
- Optional: Buttonhole tip included for using smaller buttons (5/16” or 7.5mm).
- 4 stitch markers
- Dental floss threader
