1860 Civil War Era Day Dress Pattern for AGAT Dolls

1 review   |

From 1840 to 1860 the focus of the woman's figure was her waistline and the wide full skirts from this time period were designed to accentuate this feature. By the mid 1860s some ladies wore skirts as wide as six feet in diameter!

The pattern for this dress by Thimbles and Acorns features a fitted bodice that can be made with our without a front placket, Bishop sleeves, optional bell shaped oversleeve, pointed flat collar, and full skirt that is pleated in the front and gathered in the back. The inside bodice is fully lined and the skirt is calf length, which was the appropriate length for a pre-teen girl during the Victorian Era. It can be worn with or without a crinoline.

This PDF pattern is designed to fit A Girl for All Time® and Other Similarly Sized Dolls.
