Mary and Laura 14.5" Doll Clothes Pattern

1 review   |

Born in 1867, in Pepin, Wisconsin, Laura Ingalls Wilder had the privilege of growing up during the momentous westward expansion. She played in the untamed woods of Wisconsin, traveled by covered wagon through the Great Plains to Kansas and southern Minnesota, and followed the railroads west where she came of age on a homestead in the wild prairies of Dakota Territory. Later in her life, Laura recorded the memories of her experiences in her classic “Little House” book series, preserving a first hand account of those significant years in American history.

This “Mary and Laura” dress pattern by Thimbles and Acorns  is a reproduction of the dresses that Mary and Laura Ingalls wore in a photograph that was taken around 1880, the year recorded so vividly in Laura's book “The Long Winter”.

This pattern includes instructions and pattern pieces for a princess style dress, underskirt, petticoat, and a hand-stitched handkerchief to tuck in the side pocket of the dress.

This PDF sewing pattern is sized to fit 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers™.  Please see our other listings to view this pattern for 18" dolls such as American Girl®, and 16" A Girl For All Time® dolls, as well as the bundled package that includes both sizes.
