Frill Seekers Dress 14.5" Doll Clothes Pattern

14 reviews   |

Traditional but contemporary! This pretty dress, by Forever 18 Inches, features a lined faux-wrap bodice, optional ruffles around the neckline or shoulders, a full gathered skirt cut on a gentle bias, and a self-tie. It closes in the back with snaps or Hook and Loop Tape. Two options are given for the neckline trim: contrasting purchased trim, or a self-ruffle that is finished with easy bias edging using a Hong Kong Finish.

A brief Tutorial describing how to sew an attached lining with finished seams is also included. If this is a new technique to you, I encourage you to read it first before you begin sewing. I hope it makes a sometimes mysterious process easy to understand and apply. Finally, for those who may be new to sewing, the directions have been written comprehensively with many explanatory details. If you’re an experienced seamstress, you will probably be able to sew this dress just by reading the text-only instructions at the end of the pattern. Happy sewing!
