This beautiful dress was inspired by the Hollywood beauties from the 1950’s and 1960’s. The pattern includes multiple fabric options: chiffon overlay, lace/mesh overlay, simplified cotton and solid dress weight options. It includes detailed instructions for techniques that will take the fear out of cutting and hemming difficult fabrics as well as installing a zipper.

Recommended Fabrics: Main fabric: Chiffon, lightweight polyester, lace with minimal or no stretch, lightweight cottons, rayon, voile and satin. Lining and Underlay: Broad cloth or light-weight cotton NOTE: the broadcloth cotton is used for stability, but is still lightweight.
Supplies Needed:
-⅓ yard of main (see suggested fabrics)
-⅓ yard of broad cloth (lining)
-4” or longer doll size or 7”- 8” invisible zipper
-1” x 50” strip of lightweight tulle
-Two-sided ¼” quilters tape (optional)
-Light-weight fusible interfacing (optional)
-Thread
-4” x 1” of hook and loop tape

-Freezer Paper for cutting difficult fabrics

-Rotary cutter and matt (optional)
-Pinking shears
